I'm a new user and love my BB. I've just used my camera in a store and want to download the pictures to my PC so that I can view them on a bigger screen but cannot for the life of me figure out how to do this.
I read an earlier post re downloading from a memory card - I checked - I don't have one!
I tried opening the device via My Computer but it tells me to insert a disc in drive F (the one the BB is inserted in already!)
Does anyone know when BES Express will be available for download? And will it work on servers in Australia or do they just release specific versions for specific country's?

I bought it 2 days ago with old OS and i had just upgraded the OS to the 5.0.0.610.My problem is i couldn't add the blackberry map into my bold 9000! At first i thought it was just because i had the old OS, but unfortunately after i upgraded the OS, and i even tried downloading the map from the blackberry website but there's still no changes.FYI,i downloaded the map software via computer, so it's not directly from the device. And after the download had finished, on the website it even wrote 'Complete-Blackberry Maps has been loaded to your device' but yeah i still couldn't find the icon anywhere in my device. Is there something wrong with my Bold?

View 14 Replies View RelatedJust dropped off my new Bold 9000 and I feel like a kid at Christmas. The CS was right when she said it would be early this week. I am so looking forward to exploring everything about this device. I thinkg I will wait a little while befor I install OS 5.0. I am coming from a Curve 8310 so this device is bound to be a vast improvement. I want to download a couple of apps. that might be beneficial to me. I did try to download theweather eye beta from pelmorex, but I was unsuccessful on my curve. If anyone has any suggestions as to useful apps, feel free to respond.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9000, and some websites don't even work when I'm browsing. I'm assuming it's because they have javascript, flash, or whatever. Also, some pages I browse tell me I'm using an old browser and should update to a newer one. Right now, the "support javascript" and all those boxes are checked. I'm using Firefox. Are there better mini browsers to use? Where can I download the add-ons like javascript and such?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm running 5.0.0.314 with Blackberry messenger 5.0.0.57.First of all, when i try and backup my blackberry messenger contacts it says it will send a confirmation email to my email address, but it just stays pending forever. I never recieve the email. (not in junk or deleted) I am however able to recieve emails on my blackberry device whenever my email account does recieve an email.Secondly everyone on my blackberry messenger list doesnt show their display pictures nor does display picture changes on the other end of my contacts.Anyone know how I can fix this or is this an issue?

I'll try to explain as much as I can. I have the Blackberry Bold through AT&T. I am a single user, not through a business, just me. While at home, my email (through at&t) comes to my BB. Once I arrive at work in the morning, I open up my Outlook (version 2003) and my email downloads from my BB. I have the option checked to NOT leave a copy on the server so it is now gone from my BB and housed in my Outlook. I like this setup. This is how I want it to work.
About 4 days ago the problem started. The emails still download to Outlook but won't disappear from my BB as before. I have to go in and delete it a second time on the BB. I don't use any type of sync with my email, it's just always been an automatic thing. I double checked and in my Outlook account it's still set to NOT leave a copy on the server.
Did something get corrupted? It's annoying to see that red LED light flashing only for an email I've already read on Outlook. Hate having to delete the same email twice.
I'm trying to download photos from my new(ish) iPhone 4s to Vista pc. But pc says there are no new photos or videos to download.

Why can't RIM develop a Bold 9xxx with the body of the Bold 9000 with larger memory, Trackpad, better camera? They've done it with the Tour and Curve. Plus they've got all the parts available already, just need a little engineering to fit the trackpad and everything else. C'mon RIM. We know you can do it. I'm sure you'd sell millions of them.

I need this for work and so I will be forking some dough out of my pocket to get one of the two following phones: Bold 9000 (I'll pay 100$ Canadian, not Us) Curve 8530 (pay 24.99$ Canadian). I am very used to the Iphone and HTC Touch Pro 2 (not trying to start a flaming/argument/anything else , its just what i'm used to). I am very used to browsing with the other phones and I have heard that BB phones are not up to par, so my expectations will be low. Out of the two phones however, does one perform better than the other (Curve 8530 vs Bold 9000)? Out of the two phones, which one do you recommend overall. I have read that the Bold 9000 even though it is older, it still outperforms the 8530...
View 5 Replies View RelatedI dropped my BlackBerry Bold 9000 on the weekend and damaged the LCD screen. The device still works, but two thirds of the LCD is now white and there's what looks like an inkblot on the left side of the screen. I'd like to try to fix it, but don't really want to shell out a lot of $ to do so --- I'm a month away from upgrading.Does anyone have any suggestions, or perhaps a dead BlackBerry with a working screen that you're willing to part with? A DIY repair -- this is out of warranty anyway -- looks straightforward, but I'm not sure I want to spend the $100 or so for a new OEM part to replace the LCD screen.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a bold 9000 and I can not connect to the internet. Carrier is AT&T and I live in the North East (NYC area). Worked fine up until yesterday (Jan 25). Now gmail, facebook, browser - none work. I've tried the battery pull, turning on/off the network, run a diagnostic test from mobile network options. In the mobile network test i get the volling anomolies "Blackberry PIN-PIN: No" and it says can't connect to my email (gmail).
View 5 Replies View RelatedA few days ago I pulled my phone out of the holster and It was really hot and when i looked at it i realized it was off, and wouldnt turn back on. just a red light comes on like normal upon a battery pull but after it turns off the red light comes back on again once more then stays off for good. unless i plug it in then it comes on and goes off all the time. I got it powered back up yesterday but then it did it again. Today I plugged it in and I saw a picture of a battery come up on the screen showing it as empty, i was hoping that meant it might charge up. but no such luck. My main objective is just to get the phone up long enough to back up the info on the phone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was just wondering. As it turns out that the 9700 and 9000 share the same type of battery, so how is it that the bold has a far superior battery life over the 9000? Some have reported that the 9700 can hold charge upto 2 days even after heavy usage. So i was wondering are the batteries really identical in every way as claimed? and if they arent is it possible to swap the battery of my 9000 and expect a longer battery life? coz the one im having right now only seem to hold charge for about 15hours with fair usage on a 5.0 OS Zain Kuwait.

I have an HTC One. My problem is with downloading still photos from the camera. The videos are fine, I can open them fine on my PC.
The still photos look like a funny file type which will not open. I have not deleted the still photo files from the HTC One hoping there is a solution.
What I did was uninstall HTC Sync manager, and tried taking more still shots. The situation remains unchanged. If I delete all the still shot files, and take new photos
