So I waited until the BB mini keyboard was released to buy a keyboard based on what i read on other keyboards having connectivity issues. I just got my BB mini keyboard and for the first couple days I have had constant issue with it intermittently disconnecting. Other than the lack of custome options such as scrolling speeds and cursor rates, the functionality and feel of the keyboard is great.
View 5 RepliesI bought the official Blackberry Playbook mini keyboard a few months ago. It worked once. Failed second time ( I assumed I hadn't charged it enough). Tried again recently, and it definitely isn't charging. No lights; no syncing; no pairing; no nothing. I've tried different chargers and different outlets, and the darned thing is dead. And, I am very certain it is not due to any product abuse, etc. It has just died. I either have a defective product, or is there some trick or reset button or some trick I need to know to charge this device? Or, have I just thrown away $120 on a piece of junk?

View 1 Replies View Relatedi just bought myself the blackberry-branded mini keyboard for the playbook. i know i could've gone with many aftermarket ones, but i didn't want the hassle of partial incompatibility. now this keyboard has a touchpad included too. i'm starting to get the gist of how to use one finger for left-click and two fingers for right-click, etc. but what i can't seem to get is how to text using the mini keyboard's touchpad. i've looked at several Internet videos, but i see it being used in a few of those videos but no idea how they do it. i suppose i could just bring my fingers upto the screen itself and just do it that way, but that sort of defeats the purpose of having a keyboard/pad.

I'm still deciding whether it is really worth the investment...the keyboard is almost full size and is easy to type quickly on.

I can stream audio from the Nokia to my Parrot Party speakers, be hands free in my car bluetooth system, can transfer files between my PC and the Nokia.However, for some odd reason, the Nokia does not detect my Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000. Most of the buttons on the top row have stopped working, so I can no longer type the following letters: Q E R Y U O. This renders the keyboard useless. They all suddenly stopped working at the same time, so my guess is that its probably software related? I'm running Android 2.1 update 1.

Sometimes it stays on a for a few seconds whilst fully open but then goes off. Nothing physical has happened to the phone and it doesn't seem to be a loose connection or anything. I've tried updating the software but that didn't help.

However, under "Settings - Language&Keyboard" there is NO menu item for Android keyboard.... As it appears, she uses the standard T3 enty mode and simple does not like the recommended words. There is no way to set it back now and I am thinking about playing it back to 1.6 despite the advantages coming with it.
Is there another way to change this setting?
