BB Accessories :: HS-500 Plastic Ear Loop And Rubber Ear Piece

May 26, 2011

I have a HS -500 blue tooth on which I lost the rubber ear piece and broke the plastic ear loop holder. I have gone to several cell phone stores, contacted blackberry directly and have gone on web sites. i cannot find anyone who sell these spare parts. I can't believe that an 80$ blue tooth has been rendered useless because of this.

Yours In anticipation of someone at Blackberry taking note of the chorus of dissent and actually doing something about it.

IPhone :: Respring Loop - Cant Break The Loop

Mar 13, 2010

Im in an endless respring loop and cannot break out of it. i have tried everything i know... details below

(3gs on 3.1.2, new baseband, with 3.1.3 backed up on cydia...and im running windows XP)

here is what happend:

--tried to set file permissions for the calender app bc it was not letting me add new apointments after SSHing the file from another phone

--used ifile to 1st: private/var/mobile/Library/Calendar (i went one step further) as far as i could go before an edit, then clicked the blue arrow and while the permissions was root, i noticed that it set to read and write only. so i changed this to RWE.

--went back to calendar tried to add a new apt -- no go, didnt work

--back to ifile 2nd: private/var/mobile/Library/Calendar (one step less than the first time) clicked the blue arrow and saw that permissions was mobile. so i changed that to root.

--closed ifile opened SBsettings, and clicked respring. i thought maybe this would cause the changes to take effect. i hit respring three times before it respnded... then it resprung to the sad iphone

--from the sad iphone it has been caught in the respring loop. it goes from the sad iphone to my normal lock screen (i dont run any lockscreen apps).

here is what i have done so far:

--i replaced the Calendar.sqlitedb file with the old (presumably good) file from the old phone via SSH. this seemed to help a little in that now i was able to slide the slider but still, nothing, just back to the loop.

--i attempted to restore from backup in itunes. after about 10 minutes, nothing was happening; the phone continued to loop and itunes seemed to make no progress. so i disconnected the wire.

--i held down the home and sleep buttons until the phone powered down. holding down just the sleep/power button only caused the screen to dim, but the loop continued.

--once the power was off, i turned it back on and ran blackra1n from recovery mode. phone returned to loop.

--powered down again, same method and once in recovery mode, connected to itunes. itunes said it had to restore before it could do anything. i disconnected...

--ran blackra1n again, and once more while back in the loop, and still nothing. but now when i slide, i am seeing the error message about mobile substrate, however, it does not fully appear in that the phone starts to respring before anything can happen. i have been sliding the slider and each time the screen stops at a different level, meaning that i can see the icon animation but the respring stops it at various points. while writing this, i got a text message. it displayed, and then disappeared on the next respring.

Should i do a full hard reset, should i delete stuff via SSH, DFU, i dont know, but it seems like the phone is still intact enough not to need a full restore (which would = re-jailed...).

Motorola Droid 4 :: Round Copper Piece Poking Out Of Slide Groove?

Jan 3, 2013

I just noticed today that my phone doesn't really seem to be closing completely. It looks like it's closed but I remember it almost snapping into the closed position so that it doesn't keep sliding open so easy. So, I flipped it over and noticed there's this peice of copper poking out right at the end of the slide groove at the bottom of the phone. It kind of looks like the end of a wire or something, almost like it's supposed to make a connetion to something else. And to me it seems out of place, like something got knocked loose or got unattached. But I don't want to mess with it too much. I poked it with a pencil and it does move a little but I can't seem to move it out of the track, so I'm leaving it alone. I haven't even had my phone 4 months.

BB Bold 9650 :: Ear Piece Sound "tingy" When Turned Up?

Sep 7, 2010

Due to a relocation, I was forced to switch carriers and went from a Bold 9700 to a Bold 9650. I've noticed a few changes that you can hopefully help me with!

1. Does you keypad appear yellowish instead of white? (cosmetic complaint only)

2. Does the ear piece sound "tingy" when turned up? sounds like the speaker is loose and something is vibrating.

3. When i send a text message there is a count down at the top, when i hit 160, it says field full and wno't let me type more, in the past, it would just let me type and send it as multiple text messages. is this a US Cellular thing or a setting i'm missing?

HTC :: EVO Boot Screen Loop?

Jun 7, 2010

I got my EVO on Saturday morning and have found something quite annoying... twice now, my phone has gotten stuck on the boot screen and started looping. The first re-start was prompted by a software update. The second, I decided to use the battery up completely and started after charging the battery overnight. I found these instructions on how to hard reset the phone http://www.knowyourcell.com/htc/htc-...tc_evo_4g.html but would like to avoid having to do that as I've spent considerable time configuring the phone to be just as I'd like it.Has anyone else experienced this? IPhone 5c In A Reboot Loop

My iPhone is stuck in a guess what is just a reboot loop. It gets stuck on the apple logo for maybe 5 minutes then it goes to the spinning wheel for another 5 minutes ( wheel doesn't spin just stuck ) then goes back to the apple logo again. I've tried holding both the home and power button to reset it but all that does it restart the process. I've put in DFU mode to restore but my computer and a friends computer both won't recognize it ( also tried to cables ) so I can't restore it. Nokia :: N96 - Immediate - Non-responsive - Reboot Loop

Mar 17, 2010

I have a Nokia N96 with the latest version of software (which has been operating ok for now - and I think that the N96 has Symbian OS 2.3 or something?)

I installed a program on my phone and it warned that my memory was low --> "Memory low. Delete or move some data from c: Phone memory" so I uninstalled a 2mb theme.

I then installed a little divx player which I thought wouldn't be much but then I turned off my phone and on (the other program said that I had to reboot my phone) and then my phone would start up and it would start loading up but it would immediately display the "Memory low. Delete or move some data from c: Phone memory" error (while it was trying to autoload everything that autoloads on the phone).

When this error message comes up the only option is "Ok" but the OK button is non-responsive (we all know that these phones take a while to load up) and within a couple seconds (you can't push a button and get a single response out of the phone to even try sort the problem out) the phone switches off and then switches back on with the same error without being able to do anything about it - perpetual loop!

Because it is in this perpetual loop I tried pluggin in my cable to delete data off C: (anything I could possibly get to in time) but it doesn't pick it up in time!

So, I am stuck in this "Low memory loop" without being able to get out of it. I desperately need my phone, I was thinking there would be a soft-on startup (e.g. hold x and y buttons for example and switch on and it doesn't load up some autoload stuff?) but I couldn't find one after *extensive* googling and forum-browsing.

Cseries :: Nokia C7-00 Keeps Restarting In A Loop?

Feb 14, 2012

I updated my Nokia C7-00 to Belle update on 9th Feb, 2012 and i have been having some damn serous trouble with it, despite of a huge waiting time for it's arrival, it was said that Nokia is trying to make it as flawless as possible, but i don't get the thing that why is my C7-00 re-starting so often, i.e every minute or two, i have FLASHED to original C7-00 4 times, can you imagine 4 times FLASHED.I am damn not happy to what's going on, as soon as i start to open 3-4 apps, phone just gives up and goes back to it's restart and comes back to main home screen.Specially when i open apps like QuickOffice Pro, Adobe Reader etc...

I am at all not happy with what's going on, and want Nokia to address it's restart issues by the end of the Feb atmost, otherwise i have no option other than to trash it. Extra Apps Installed on Device by me Opera Mobile, cuteTue, fMobi, Mr. Applock, Fruit Ninja, Swype And, 1 more thing everytime the device is restarted it loses all it's configuration of the single, contacts image display on the homescreen, single and multiple favourites contacts get lost from the screen, and i have to re-add them manually.

IPhone :: Loop Even After Restore - Not Jailbroken

May 6, 2010

So my iphone seems to be stuck in a reboot loop it'll display the apply logo, then the apple and a loading circle and then it shuts off briefly and starts the entire loop again. It keeps doing it until the battery dies or until I shut it off. I've put the phone into DFU mode and restored three times and I still have the same issue?

IPhone :: Loop Even After Restore - Jailbroken

May 7, 2010

Yesterday I locked it during a meeting, and it froze shortly after I unlocked it a few hours later. None of the buttons would respond, so I decided to try the hard reset of holding the power and start buttons together for 10 seconds. It turned the phone off, but it will not reboot.

Instead, when the phone is plugged in or reset, I get the Apple logo, followed about 2-3 minutes later by the time circle which freezes as soon as it appears. The phone stays this way for 10 minutes or so, until it resets itself with a black screen, followed by a red bar battery symbol, and then the Apple logo followed by the frozen time circle.

I have tried all of the standard reset strategies (pressing both buttons, tethering while the computer reboots, holding the start button while it is plugged in, all with and without the sim installed) and nothing has gotten it beyond the loop.

The phone will go into DFU mode, but I am worried about a system restore as I am under the impression that even if it works, it will mess up my ability to re-Jailbreak it as it will upgrade the firmware to the latest version (which I have been scrupulously avoiding until now). Maybe at this point there is nothing to lose though.

I have an Apple store nearby, but I am reluctant to take it there due to the Jailbreak (although I don't know how they would know given the state that the phone is in). I would also hate to have them replace the phone with a replacement that has the new bootrom that can't be jailbroken (or have they now managed to jailbreak these too?).

BB Bold :: Locked In A Loop Where It Won't Switch

May 25, 2010

On a number of occasions where my battery was nearly flat as I put it on the charger before I went to bed I woke up in the morning to find that the device wouldn't turn on. A battery pull sorted it every time. Last night I put my Blackberry on charge and woke up this morning to find that not even the battery pull would work. When I hooked it up to my laptop, the desktop software recognised that it couldn't communicate with Blackberry and offered to update the software (which in fact I did a couple of weeks ago). I read a KB article that said one should do this without the battery installed. Alas during the software update where it gets to the point 'reconnecting to jvm', I have to re-insert the battery as the 'no battery' icon appears on the screen. We then get stuck in the original cycle whereby the device gets stuck in a cycle of light on, light off... and of course a failed software update too.
