go online with my nokia 6700 (press globe icon) > bookmarks > select Internet > select a video > click watch video > media player/video does not appear, only sound. the only way i can get the media player/video to appear is to press back > exit. this problem with the media player only started last week.

When I apply the theme and try to open the media player/radio i don't see the new skin. I only get a black screen with a clock in the top right corner. I've tried the same themes on my friend's nokia 6303 classic and they work.

When the download progress bar reaches 1.4 Mb the display and keypad goes off. Then a white background with a date appears in the display which then changes to the home screen.

The phone says the memory is full, even though I removed all the files I can, and cleared the cache in the internet browser. When i remove things the amount of memory doesn't change at all. Now I can't take photos, and I can't put any music in my phone at all, it's very frustrating!
I read that it could be a good idea to hard reset the phone to free up memory. But then I'll need to do a backup on my data, but how do I do that? It's basically the contacts i need to backup, since I sort of removed all the other files.... I'm using a Mac, so I can't use the PC suite program.

Tried to answer a call & the phone went dead. Tried to charge but it just beeps in cycles. Tried another battery & it's the same. The phone powers on to the Nokia hands but as soon as the time/date screen appears, the keypad can't set it. Then the screen locks after a few seconds & can't be unlocked. Despite the battery being fully charged it displays as near empty. When started without a SIM the OK button works to accept startup
View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought an unbranded 6700 classic on amazon and I tried to disable internet access completely.
So in the first place, there is no option to disable packet data or internet access at all... I can only choose between on demand and always online... thx for that!
I tried to make new hoax profiles with made up usernames and passwords for those data links and access points and set them as defaults but this phone always just connects to the internet by edge after all...
I also can't just delete my provider's access points which seem to be sitting on the sim card or however that works...
if there is a "reliable" method to block data/internet access? On sony ericsson devices there is at least some kind of workaround which works by setting the access points to ask for a password before they actually connect.. but in this phone there doesn't seem to be any option to protect myself to go online by accident..
Today I updated my phone (model 5230) from firmware 40.??? to 50.0.001. I tried a couple of times by using the Ovi PC Suite, but it resulted each time in error 12014 (backup of phone succeeded, but update not). Then I switched to Nokia Software Updater (also on PC) which seemed to work great. However, now the media key is not working anymore.

With all the excitement I installed it and was happy. A new option is available to set the backlight brightness. It works fine until there was a sudden error while I was transferring the musics. After that, my PC wont recognize my device anymore. So i search for the solution in the net and I found the way.
Here it is:
"In some devices, if having copied a large number of files (> 4000 files) in Media Transfer USB mode to the device, the PC connection may not succeed any more. If this happens, try deleting files with File Mgr. Application to decrease the number of files below 4000."
is shows me that my device do not support the requirement ie is my nokia C7 version 2012 an is based on symbian^3

View 1 Replies View RelatedOccasionally, when I plug in the supplied headphones which are marked as model number "WH-101 HS-105", there is no audio heard coming through them. When I plug them in, they are detected and a message says use phone mic for calls. However, there is no audio heard coming from the music player app. If I unplug the headphones the music player audio comes out loud and clear from the loudspeaker.The only solution is to reset the phone, the headphones then work correctly and I can listen to music through them. This makes me think it is a software / firmware problem rather than a hardware problem.I sent my phone and the headphones back to my operator O2 UK and waited 4 weeks for my phone to return. They eventualy returned my phone with a note saying a new circuit board had been fitted and the phone would have a new IMEI number.The fault returned the first time I plugged in my headphones!I have looked for info on this fault on the web, but have not found anybody else with this issue to date.
