I have the Nokia 6600 slide, and I would like to uninstall the Nokia Maps application, because I hardly use it and it takes a lot of space on the memory card (the maps). I suppose that I can just delete the maps in order to free the memory of the card, however would like to know if there is a "proper"

I want to uninstall some apps from my newly-purchased C5-03. Other posts here describe doing this by going to application manager>installed apps, selecting the app concerned and then Options. But when I select any app (press/options) or longpress, all I get is details about the app. There is no option to uninstall or do anything else. There is nothing about this in the help file or the user manual. How do I uninstall apps?

I then tried to downgrade to v3.03. It goes through the installation and then my phone reports Unknown error -5.I tested again - it believes I have v3.03(246) already, and again error -5.I check in maps and the version is v3.04I have obviously confused matters.
Do you know how to safely remove all versions so that I can start again with v3.03? I have read a few topics where people have been able to uninstall - but then still can't get v3.03 to install. I dont want to be in that situation
I just received my new Nokia 5800 from T-Mobile. The firmware is ok for me to install the free maps software 3.03
However, before I try to install the new software, I read on here that it is a good idea to uninstall old versions of nokia maps/ovi maps.The phone has Ovi maps 3.01 installed but when I go to the Application manager, ovi maps is not listed?Does anyone know how I can uninstall the old version?
I have Nokia 700 with Belle FP2 installed and according to the Battery Monitor, the Weather Application that comes by default with this version of Belle is eating a lot of my battery in the background. I do NOT use the weather widget and I have wi-fi and mobile data connection turned off most of the time. I also erased all cities from the Weather App, yet still it seems to work in the background and it is responsible for about 50 % of my phone energy consumption. It is impossible to turn it of (I guess it starts any time I turn my phone on), and it is impossible to uninstall it.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi had downloaded several apps and themes from ovi store. i tried all possible menas to locate them. also ion Settings>App Settings>Installed apps. but they are nowhere to be seen and some apps to which were compatible with anna and not with belle also when i connected my phone in mass storage mode. i found sys/bin folder and others containing old apps and some information which are not compatible with belle. so is it safe to remove them because they are just occupying space.

On my 808 I opted to delete Lync and this caused deleting of all MS apps including office.

Public transport is useless unless you are traveling to those cities - it should be optional to load as are the maps.When I check via Nokia Suite on my PC I can see those apps listed as installed (see pics.). When I check Nokia's website on how to download the free sat nav version of maps my phone won't let me do it. Nokia says I have to go to applications then sw updates. I do not have a software update option via applications. I can check for sw updates via settings - phone - phone mgmt - device updates - options - check for updates. It appears to receive information from t-mobile but does not display anything on the phone. No options to download ovi maps or anything else. Is there a direct download link that i can simply just click and then install the ovi maps 3.03 from my pc suite's application manager.
