My iPhone 4 is at the latest iOS version. Ever since I started using it in December I've found out that at the same time every day(midnight) when connected to wifi it will use a considerable amount of 3G. I only recently found this out last month when I went over my monthly allowance.
I can only surmise that iCloud is somehow using the mobile data connection to backup when I've locked my phone, plugged it into the wall to charge and am asleep.
My wife has the same phone and does the same thing as I do at night but her phone doesn't use any 3G data when backing up.
Having checked my mobile bill for the last few months it is at exactly midnight that the phone starts using 3G data.....every night, without fail!
My old laptop is damaged , I have iPhone 4s , I'm getting new laptop. So how can I sync it or back up the data without losing all the files in the iPhone
I reflashed all the factory images to my Nexus 6P (except userdata), and then restored a TWRP backup of the data partition. This worked, my phone boots up and obviously has my installed apps, etc. But... on the Nexus 6P when you restart the phone you have to enter your lock pattern or PIN. My phone was previously configured with a pattern. It seems the TWRP data backup didn't backup the lock pattern, because it doesn't recognize my pattern.
My fingerprint is recognized, but on the Nexus 6P you still have to enter the lock pattern or PIN when you first reboot. So, I have no way to get into the phone. I tried setting a new lock screen password with Android Device Manager, but it doesn't work. I still get the screen asking for the lock pattern. Is there any way I can get into my phone without blowing away all the data?
So ever since getting my iphone4 a few days ago i have been more or less constantly connected to wifi, but for some reason when i do *data#, it says that ive used almost 2MB of data. Now to most of you that may not seem like alot, but the problem is i have been connected to wifi this whole time, and i dont believe data should have been sent out. last night i went to sleep at about 4 and 1.4MB was used and now when i wake up 1.7MB was used.... whats going on here!
Now the reason im so concerned about this is because i am only on the 200MB limit and only want to be using data when i have to, and not having data being sent out randomly without me even doing anything!
i have notifications off( not sure if this does anything), and under mail i have fetch new data off/ push off/ fetch on manual, and the facebook app i turned all push notifications off.
I think i turned all those off properly.... if not could anyone put some direction on how to turn all all that stuff (just incase im missing something?) But yea... so anyone have any suggestions on why data is being transferred when im not even using the phone?
My IPhone 5 will connect to wifi and the cellular says LTE which usually would work. Safari will load pages VERY slowly but nothing else will work. The Facebook app says "Network Error"- Messages wont send and I cannot download IOS 7.1.2 because it says "Software Update Unavailable" I have tried restart and resetting my phone. I have also tried resetting my network setting. And I have tried more than one Wifi connection. Nothing is working.
I am just curious if iPhone is going to have the capability of using data during a phone call while not connected to wifi. For example I am a soldier and do not have wifi access while at work. But am on the phone a lot and quite frequently need to use the internet during a phone call. This is standard in all other smartphones. So when is Apple going to make this available to iPhone users.
My 3GS has suddenly began to consume 0.8mb per hour cellular date, even when it is on a WiFi network! Have killed all apps be double clicking HOME button, and shutting them all down individually. I have also turned off PUSH mail, but problem persists. On ios5.1.1 & new battery fitted only 10- weeks ago.

I have looked into these solutions: url...The solution using JL_Cmder/javaloader its not working as I have XP64 and OS X.Desktop manager does not recognize the device and/or freezes. Hence I am unable to do a backup.
Earlier I had a synced an iphone4 to mac A using a apple id X. Afterwards I shifted to mac B with apple id Y. I downloaded all the apps for account Y as well. NowI wanted to check out wifi sync option so I chose the wifi sync option while syncing. When I am using wifi for iphone it starts for sycning with both mac A having apple id X and mac B with apple id Y. How should I stop it for mac A?
I have wifi syncing issue. I used to connect with my two computers, one is my home PC (win7 64bit), the other is my office Macbook Pro (Lion). My iphone's itunes library is on my home PC, I have checked "Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi" on itunes options. In general, wifi syncing is working if iphone connected to my home PC only with USB.
At office, I used itunes on my macbook pro to listen iphone's music. So, I connected iphone to macbook pro with USB, then loaded my iPhone's music. (not push sync button). At home, I plugged my iphone into charger generally, then turning on itunes that couldn't find my iphone 3GS for wifi syncing. For resolving the issue, I need to sync with USB once, then it would work again, but it's so annoying.

I have a new iPhone and a PC computer. Ive taken photos and want to have connected my iPhone to the PC with the USB cord. I see that my music has synced with iTunes but where are my photos?
The USB ports on the laptop (MBPro) that my iP5 syncs to have stoped working (have reset PRAM and SMC - that didn't work), so I'm wondering if it's possible to turn on wi-fi syncing on the phone and in iTunes so I can back-up and update the music/pictures?Â
The MBPro is mid 2009 and has a few hardware issues - USB, DVD and headphone port are all not working, so am expecting to be up for a replacement soon, but in the interim, I'd like to see if I can get this sorted out.Â

I recently got an iPhone 4S at an Apple store. They set it up for me, and instructed me how to backup my old iPhone onto my new one later. It's been a few days. If do the backup now, will I lose items added on the new phone since I've been using it?
I want to use iTunes to backup my iPhone but I want it to do it the same as iCloud does. So I want it to save app data as well when I try and do it I can store the apps on my computer but not the app data.
Seems that they closed whatever they were using to allow syncing by wifi. The device shows its "Ready to Sync" and the status bar on top shows its connected but the phone never shows up in iTunes.I am sure it's nothing more than a software update, but if you use it religiously, you might want to hold off.
When I click on "Backup" in PC-Suite it says: "No phones are connected. Connect now."However, all other applications in PC-Suite recognize my connected phone successfully. Can anyone please advise why Backup doesn't recognize it?
I have a jailbroken phone and since i have jailbroken, I have made progress in games. Since it is jailbroken, can I still backup this data using itunes? Is there another way to backup?
Anyone is able to tell me what is the data that is NOT saved in a normal backup? For example I am sure about the music, if you don't specifically sync the music, this is not saved and automatically restored during a backup restore (I just did a backup from iphone 3GS and restored data on the 4S).Do you know if there is any other data that is not copied?
I have an iPhone that has already been synced with an HP laptop. This PC is now in need of repair but the price of repair was too costly so I bought a MacBook Pro to replace it.I would like to now sync my iPhone with my new MacBook using iTunes but when I attempt this I get a message stating that all the information in my iPhone will be replaced by all the information in iTunes (which is nothing). I cannot afford to lose all the information in my iPhone but also I cannot update my iPhone using iTunes because it has not been paired with my new MacBook and I am told that it can only be paired with one computer at a time. I cannot unpair it with my old PC because my old PC doesn't even boot up anymore.I was told that I could Backup the information in my iPhone by control clicking on the icon in the toolbar to the left of the iTunes screen which would then let me sync safely. I have now done this but I still have nothing to show for this in the iTunes library (no music, photos, notes, contacts etc.) and I have no idea where this backup has been stored. Also in the help menu in iTunes it says that media files such as songs, videos and some photos AREN'T backed up but can be restored by syncing with iTunes (how is this possible to restore something that hasn't been backed up in the first place?).
I had to switch iPhones and tried to restore my Data to another iPhone. iTunes always tells me: „... cannot restore because iPhone is not compatible or backup is corrupt". My "old" iPhone with all the data on it is already in use with another config. So I went back and tried with my old one (btw. both iPhone 4s 5.1.1 iOS iTunes is 10.6.3 (25)), same message!
I restored my MobileSync folder by using TimeMachine and tried the last 8 backups to restore and failed every time with the same message. I can access the backup by using MobileSyncBrowser or iPhoneBackup Extractor. The Data is there and accessible. How can I restore the data to my iphone? Is there a way to check backups why they are corrupt an fix them? Are there different iOS5.1.1 builds? Is there a way to check the Backup for the exact iOS Build?
I had my iphone password stolen (by somebody who was living with me) and my iphone data backed up onto their computer without my knowledge. This includes my email account which has confidential information in it. My question is - If they were to sync a blank Iphone to their itunes would they have access to all my data? When they try to sync that data with the iphone would iphone ask of them to go through the process of setting the email account first and then sync the emails or just sync it without asking for email pwds? Is there a way to stop that given it has been a month? ( I know as I said I wasn't aware till late)...
I had not backed up my phone in several years and was unfamiliar with the process. I opened Itunes and connected my iphone. I hit restore phone instead of backup. Not smart. Now, I have all the data on my phone from my last back up from 2011. How can I recover the original data that I was trying to backup?
iPhone 5s Screen is not responding. I have done the hardware reset by holding the home button and the lock button however it did not solve the problem I want to back up my data however there isnt a way of doing this without unlocking the phone. Is there any way I can do this.
