IPhone 5c :: ITunes Is Repeatedly Saying It Can't Read Content
Aug 31, 2014
Every time I connect my phone to my laptop (Windows 8 system), iTunes tells me it can't read the contents of the phone and suggests resetting it. basically bordering on the obscene amount. If I had to pick an actual number of times, I'd say at least 20 over a week's time. Every single time I set up the phone, either from a back up or as a new phone, neither option fixes the problem, iTunes says it's syncing and then syncs nothing to the phone like it says it has. I usually try syncing a few more times just in case, but it never puts anything on the phone. I've uninstalled all Apple programs from my computer and re-installed them, I've taken my phone to the store I bought it at and had a completely new phone sent to me, I've reset it a billion times, I've turned it off and back on again, I've made sure to use the eject button every time I unplug the phone from the computer, I've checked to make sure I have the latest software updates, I use the cord from Apple and not a copycat version, and still every time (except for right after reset, before unplugging for the first time) iTunes says it can't read my phone and I need to reset it.
I don't know how to copy the content of my Iphone to Itunes. I want to update the software of my Iphone, but I always get the warning, I will lose information. And when I want to synchronise music, my music will be overwritten.
I think the problem is, that my laptop is not the first computer I installed Itunes on, but my old computer doesn't work anymore.
iTunes will not allow the transfer of content to my iPhone because iTunes shows the iPhone is 3gb overfilled. However, in the usage part of general settings on the phone, it shows that 8gb remain free. I deleted a significant amount of content and the iTunes reading of the remaining storage remains the same. Is there a way to resolve this difference so I can transfer content again?
A pickpocket took my iPhone when I tried to photograph him, and slammed it in the asphalt The screen and display is broken and the touch-function won't work. But someone is still in there! However, when I plug the phone to my computer(not a Mac) iTunes recognizes there is a unit there, but says I need to type in the 4-digit passcode on the iPhone to get access to it in iTunes. But the touch-screen is still broken, so I can't type in anything. Any solution? Can I type in the code or apple-password somewhere else?
I had a MacBook Air and a 6 year old desktop PC. Everything I had was on both of them, so they acted as each other's back up. This Sunday evening just gone, my PC finally died a traumatic death, and I can't even get it to boot from Safe Mode. Then on Monday while I was at work, my house was burgled, and my MacBook Air was stolen, amongst many other things. All I have now is my iPhone 4S which was with me at the time. All my music, photos, videos etc are on my iPhone, but I'm very aware that when I eventually get my replacement MacBook from our insurance company (I'm being realistic and accepting that I'll never see my stuff again), as soon as I plug my phone into a blank iTunes library, I'll lose everything that's on there. Obviously I can re-download everything I've purchased from iTunes, though it will take a VERY long time and I still won't have playlists etc, and I can probably either Dropbox or email what photos I have on there, but I have a lot of video clips from over the last few years that aren't on my camera roll - they're in the phone as proper videos, in the video player app, and I can't get Dropbox to view that location, or figure out how to email them. The videos are very important to me and I really don't want to lose them; so much so that I'm thinking of never syncing my iPhone ever again! Basically, what I'm asking is, how can I copy everything from my iPhone into a blank iTunes library?
I installed new podcaste app relesed by apple few weeks back.It is was amazing to subcribe and manage podcaste without computer.I have subscribed to many podcaste and downloaded.I was using it for last 2-3 weeks, today i happen to sync my iphone to itunes, just to see my downloaded podcastes are missing.
I used to be able to sync my iphone 4 to itunes with no problems, all of a sudden every time I plug it in I get a message that says itunes can't read the contents of my iphone, restore to factory settings. I do not want to restore it and lose all of my information on the phone. I have tried a different usb cable and port, and restarting the phone and neither one worked. I can sync and back up my phone on itunes again.
My sister installed the latest iOS 5 update (5.1.1) last night. Now whenever she connects the iPhone to her iTunes, she gets the following message :- " iTunes cannot read the contents of 'iPhones 3GS'. Go to summary tab in iPhone preferences and click Restore to restore this iPhone to factory settings. " We have both googled this and cannot find any alternative to a factory restore. However, we found cases where iPhone users with this issue have done the restore only for it to only work one time and the next sync gives the warning again.
I bought a couple of ebooks at the iTunes Store a little while ago and can not read them on my iphone 4s. Yes I have dowloaded "iBooks" and when I go to Newsstand these books do not appear. Fist of all I had down loaded the books from iTunes>Store On my Macbook to load into my iPhone. So in order to read these books on iPhone am I supposed to purchase them through iTunes Store on my iPhone explicitly? Is that the only way I get to read them on my iphone? Ad if so, then why does iTunes seel them from iTunes Store on my Macbook?
I bought my iphone 2nd hand off trade me (similar to ebay). I now have a sneaking suspicion that it was bought overseas and now it has locked? It has come up with cannot read sim card, and cannot be activated.
How can I read Adobe digital edition type media (books) on my iphone that I did NOT download through Apple or iTunes? They are from another source. All the apps I find want me to download from them, not read or import existing material.
Everytime I plug my iPhone 4s into my computer and try to sync with iTunes, I get an error saying, "iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPhone "xxxx", Go to the summary tab in iPhone options and click restore to restore this iPhone to factory settings". I have done this and still get the same problem. I use Windows 7. I have tried running both on and off administrator mode and with and without my Zonealarm firewall. This phone has never been jailbroken.
Ok so I am trying to put music on my iphone but it always say no content you can download music from the itunes store so I go to the itunes store but I still don't know how to get music on my iphone it has been like that for months now
I have Yahoo on my iPhone, right? When I read an email in my Yahoo account on my iPhone, and later log into my Yahoo account, it shows those messages as read. Heck, I can even file my emails away in my folders, if I want to; i.e. move them over to my bills folder, or my purchases folder, or my mom folder. Now, here's the deal with my other account tho. I have my work emails going to my iPhone too. At work, I use Outlook. I do not know a whole lot about how things are set up over here, but I have access to answers if you guys can help me find out the right questions to ask. When I read a work email on my iPhone, and I get to work the next morning, there it is, bold and unread. I really want it to show as read. I get an obnoxious amount of work emails. The whole point in keeping up with them on my phone is to save me time in the long run. So, when I get to work and have to re-read them all, I've saved nothing. Also, it would be phenomenal if you could also help me find a way to toss work emails in folders I have set up on my Outlook, as well.Dial NumberMember LookupQuery HistoryStart Member Query?
I purchased my iPhone about 5 weeks ago and since its first few hours alive, it has been repeatedly crashing, up to 15 times a day somedays. The phone feels a bit warmer than usual. I am using iPhone 4. Suddenly its not working. I don't know why. But if I connect to the charger its open but its showing me connect to the iTunes and if I disconnect the charger my iPhone is off. Its rebooting again and again when i try to restore it.
My Iphone 4s keep on reboot every 2-3 minutes, iOS Version = 7.1.2, any solutions for this? No matter it's running an app or idle mode, it will keep on reboot. What causing it, this problem just suddenly come. I even erase all and reset all setting.
My iphone keeps dying and I have to restore my iphone repeatedly. I just restored as a new devise last week. Today I tried uninstalling and installing an app that refused to open and all my apps disappeared even the pre-installed ones like mesaages, itunes, phone and such? Is it time to get a new phone?
As of this morning, everytime I connect my phone to my computer it rapidly connects and disconnects. After searching the web far and wide I've only come up with dead ends. Before today it worked fine, I don't think it's the cord because it works when i tried it with another computer and works when I charge my phone with the wall charger (which I'm forced to do now). Error messages have popped up like 0xE8000001 and 0XE8000065.
