IPhone 3GS :: IMessage Showing Messages Hours After
Jun 21, 2014
I have the iPhone 3GS which has iMessage. The past few days when I go out of the house and without the wifi, I noticed that if another iMessage user sends me a iMessage, i don't get it.I have the cellular data on and the sms option on as well. Today for example, I was receiving and sending out iMessages to one of my contacts and it was working perfectly. However, another contact of mine with iMessage tried sending me at least 3 iMessages and I never received them until hours after. Im not sure why Im able to receive and send iMessages to one contact, but not the other without being connected to the wifi.
- Messages are not delivered (or they are delivered hours later)
- I sometimes don't receive messages (or I receive them hours later)
- I type in blue (so I think it's an iMessage) but then when I send it turns green.
You can't imagine the consequences of this and how it affected my relation with my girlfriend !!I switched it off and I don't care to find a solution (the same with iCloud).
i have iphone 4, my sim card is working in my country, recieving at my Apple ID email and my phone number.. working finee then i traveled to another country and now there is no service.. and no carrier is allowed.. donno why.. so im using my imessage which is working while roaming to my phone number and my email... but my mistake i turned it off.. and now its waiting for activation.. im afraid that it needs my sims signal to work and recieve at my phone number. coz until now its verifying BUT NO SERVICE.. and i reeeeeeally need my imessage.. it has been for hours.. WAITING FOR ACTIVATION and VERIFYING my phone number.. NOTE:- no service, signal and CANT FIX IT...
For the past 3 or 4 weeks mine and some of my friends have been noticing problems with iMessage. We will send an imessage and either it will not send, or it will claim that it was delivered when in fact it was not. These messages do eventually get through, but normally seem to come through at 4-5am which is incredibly annoying. I assume this is a problem with the apple servers, as text messages work fine. All other forms of data transfer are absolutely fine too. This is very frustrating as i purposefully got a small number of texts on my phone contract as I assumed i would be able to use imessage for all my messaging needs. I have a iPhone 4, with the latest update (5.1 i think).
My imessage stopped working. I came from singapore and now in the philippines. It was working for a couple of hours then it no longer allowed me to use it.
Info: iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1, Imessage isn't working overseas
My IPhone has been charged for at least 3 hours still showing the low battery icon and not turning on, normally when my phone is in low battery it will automatically pop up the apple icon but now it's not turning on ....
My phone hasn't backed up in six weeks. It is on Wi-Fi, plugged in, and locked. Data size is around three gigs. It says estimated time 37 hours, or gets stuck on "estimating backup time." It also Will not work manually. I was also unable to upload a five minute movie.
When i send messages using iMessage on mac to an apple iphone, it shows that message was received from my email address not from my number. Is there a way to show that messages are received by the mobile number not by apple ID?
When I receive a text message from a friend A, I cannot see, which device this friend texted me from. When I then hit reply, I dont know whether this message will be charged for (sending it to a mobile phone) or free (sending it to an apple ID). This is especially an issue with international texts. Is it possible to have the device shown below the name, they same way it works in "Recent" tab for phone calls? There I can see, whether the person called from their mobile phone, their home phone, via face time.I know, I could just start a new message and pick the receipient manually, or create two separate contacts with a hint in the first name field (e.g. "Apple ID) but that is not as convenient as to just reply to an exiting message.
When an iMessage comes in [on new 4s] the screen shows the entire body of the message. It seems the option to not show message and just show the sender is no longer available in Settings-iMessage.how to change this?
I don't understand what is happening with my messages. Both yesterday and now today I would only get some of my messages. Tonight I missed out on a whole conversation between a friend of mine and my BF in a group message. Then when my BF went to forward me the conversation I never got it until he sent via my e-mail. I have looked everywhere for help with no luck.
i have jailbroken my iphone and i currently don't have a SIM card, according to every website i have set up my iMessage account right but everytime i send a message to someone it says "Not Deliverd". I have an active wireless internet connection and my iphone is connected to the wifi (Tried the DNS), but still doesnt seem to send any messages? Is there a possibility that there's someting wrong with the phone it's self or i might have the wrong things on in the settings?
For some reason, although I can successfully send messages using iMessage using my iPhone, and these are successfully replicated to all my other iOS devices, I do not seem to receive iMessage messages on my iPhone. I do get my SMS messages, but not my iMessage ones.
I can send SMS but not recieve. I can only get messages if I have Imessage on an I have both SMS and mms turned on. My carrier says everything should be fine but it's not working
I have an IPad2 and IPhone 4S running the latest OS 5.1. I was texting with a 3rd party on my IPhone and was recieving responses back (all blue - not SMS). I was expecting a response on my iphone and did not recieve it in a timely manner but when I looked at my IPad the response was there. I waited around 5 minutes and still nothing. Then i dropped out of iMessage on my IPhone and started it back up and then I saw the text pop up.
Usually when I write an sms it shows up green and imessages shows up blue, and they both show up chronologically in the same window. I.e. my iphone understands it is from the same person and therefor post both types of messages in the same window. However a month ago or so my boyfriends imessages started showing up in a seperate window from his regular green text messages... Why? We have changed no settings of any sort. Nothining has been altered, and on his iphone both types of texts show up in the same window. My other iphone contacts also show up in the same window with both green an blue texts. How come his dont? His email as such is not a part of his contact details, i did however try adding it to see if that would help make the messages go in the same window but it didnt He has a iphone 3s i have 4, (not s).All I want is for the blue and the green messages to live together in perfect harmony within one window...
Is my wi-fi supposed to be turning on and off all the time? That frustrates me! iMessage won't even let me send messages! i type in the contact name, then type my message but it wont let me click in 'send.'
I recently purchased a MacBook Pro. I have a 4S iPhone. I have turned on my laptop and noticed I have iMessages that never appeared on my iPhone. I don't get on my laptop everyday so how do I make sure all instant messages are sent to my phone and not sitting in iMessages on my laptop?Â
I Can only send iMessages, I called apple support they said to reset settings and it didn't work so they said call Verizon. I did they said call apple.Â
really stuck here, just want to be able to text my family that has android
My boyfriend and I text every day and we both have iPhone 4's So it sends as iMessage. Ever since last night our texts have been sending as text message rather than iMessage and we cant figure out why. Were guessing it's on his end since I can text other people on iMessage. yesterday his keyboard wouldn't come up so he turned it off and back on and shortly after that our messages would only be sent as text. We've checked to make sure iMessage is on and that our 3G is up and running . Would doing a restart (ie. Holding power and home) do anything?
I have an iPhone 4s. My problem is that my iMessage is stuck on sending messages through my email, i tried to add my phone number and it does not let me! I already reset my phone!
I am not able to reply to any iMessages or start a conversation with ONLY one of my contacts who is using the iPod iOS 5 system... However I am able to receive messages from him. I have tried everything from restoring my phone multiple times to deleting and re creating a new iCloud account ... Is there something that I'm missing?
