I'm trying to download the apps i have on my phone and hopefully there content onto my apple mac, so when i get my new iPhone, i can just download the apps back onto the new phone without having to re-download all of them

i had the iphone 4 and was working with my apple id and then i gave the phone to my uncle. Then he took my apple id off and put his ID on the iphone4. But it still had my apps from my ID and now ever time he said he tried to download an app it wont. I was wondering is it because my apps from my apple ID is still on there or some other reason.

Right now when he is trying to purchase from Itunes it is defaulting to his apple ID which is his gmail account. I've looked through settings but when I get to where I can change it to my apple id it prompts for a new password including a number. My apple id does not have a number in it. I have had my daughter's iPhone associated with my Apple ID for several years now because A) She was too young to have an Apple ID of her own, and B) I wanted to be able to monitor her App Store purchases and such. Well now that she is older and has proven herself to be a responsible young lady, I want to get her her own Apple ID, as she will be getting a new McBook as a graduation present. My question is this: Is it possible to migrate all the apps and data from her phone to a new Apple ID without having to download all those apps again? I backup her phone to my computer on a regular basis.

So I have a 3gs running 4.0.1 jailbroken. I'm selling the phone tomorrow so I just did a phone reset and selected erase all data and contacts and such, and now when attempting to start up it freezes on the apple logo when the spinner thing is going around.Am I screwed and have to upgrade to 4.1 now? Tried to put into DFU mode and reinstall 4.0.1 but obviously apple doesn't allow that.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm probably gonna get flamed, but here goes.I have a 32 3GS that I jailbroke with Spirit for 3.1.3. I got my new iP4 and wanted to reset the phone with out getting away from 3.1.3 (so I could rejailbreak super easy for sale). I did "Reset all Data and Settings" under the settings menu. From what I understand, this would erase all music, videos, email accounts, texts, ect and also erase everything from the JB, themes, apps, mods, ect.
Basically reset it back to 3.1.3 stock, without using iTunes.I was under the impression this would take somewhere between 1 - 2 hrs. But the Apple logo and Progress Bar showed up, the Bar filled up after a minute or two and the phone restarted. It then sat at the Apple logo for over 10 minutes before I noticed. I assumed it was "bricked" and attempted to go into DFU mode. When I would hold down the SLeep and Home buttons the Apple Logo would disappear and phone would turn off, but then immediately attempt to restart without me doing anything. So DFU button combo didn't do anything, I also tried Recovery mode to no avail. Is sitting at the Apple Boot Logo forever supposed to be part of this process? Anything else I can do? I am thinking of letting the batt just die completely and recharging it and hoping that will break the endless reboot so I can DFU or Recovery mode the thing.

I was attempting to download FFT:WOTL on my iPhone 4Gs using data. Because of the file size, it failed, and had me switch to WiFi. Now that I have, however, the "Install" button is greyed and and says "Installing", but the app isn't. There isn't a specific forum for this in the iOS Apps category so I am putting it here.I just downloaded the new Apple Podcasts app to my iPhone 4S.[URL]I have figured out how to find and subscribe to the podcasts I normally listen to but I am not sure how to get the podcasts to download over wifi so I can listen to them later.Don't want to burn up my data plan streaming podcasts when I'm on the road.The description says that you can do this, "Stream episodes or download to listen while offline" but I am not sure if it is happening.There is no visual clue to let me know that the casts are downloading or not.Do I just need to be patient? Or am I doing something wrong.

My x10i suddenly stopped using the wireless, it connects but can't download any data.Then I found this post here:[URL]..I checked what he said:
I've upgraded my X10i to 2.3.3 Gingerbread recently. I've also installed various programs after that. Wireless was working fine till suddenly applications using the net ceased to connect or download over wireless. Mobile connection works ok but when I switch to wireless, net activity stops. I didn't change any setting on my modem (US Robotics). I also have an Android Pad which can connect through the same modem without any problem, also my wifes laptop doesn't have problems connecting. Then I tweaked further and discovered that my X10i can't resolve domains into IPs. When I use the website's IP to connect everything is fine. I can browse or download within the same website that I connected with its IP but if I try a link to somewhere else or try with the domain name the phone gets stuck trying to connect (surely at the domain resolving state). My local support told me either to use repair on PC Companion or change the modem settings to Wep (it's wpa/wpa2-psk currently) but I want to do neither cuz I can't change every modems setting I come across nor reset the firmware everytime with all my program installed gone to trash. There must be a clear solution, more likely a setting somewhere.
And that's exactly the same problem I have, I can browse when connected with IP addresses but not with domain names. Although my x10 is also upgraded to 2.3, I don't think that's a 2.3 problem. I too think that's a setting problem somewhere.
How can I set my g3 up to allow music to download from the play store over my data network?
