Apr 14, 2012I am temporary using my nokia x3 whilest nokia 500 is being repaired. I noticed today that the nokiasuite is asking me to update my nokia x3 slide. I had the phone over a year now and it is out of warranty. I am afraid to update the phone even if I back it up incase it buggers up and is rendered useless. Nokia 5230 trying to connect via USB (W7 64 bit) OVI v 2.1.1.1 and now will not show up. Have tried repairing all Nokia Software - even deleted everything and reloaded.Get "Installing Device Driver software - Installing support software - Installation failed"Nokia 5230 setting up - nothing happens.Every time plug the phone in via USB it goes through "installing device software".What has changed and why can I not connect now?

Jan 4, 2013I sent by N8 to a Nokia care point in October 2012 as the bottom piece that enters the battery compartment had broken in one corner and thought I'd better get it fixed before the warranty expired in November 2012. When it was returned I checked it turned on and reloaded some of the software, however I then requested an unlock code from orange UK and that was the end of that as I had already made my sim into a mini sim for my new Nokia 808. Although I have just received an unlock code from orange (another story altogether) however when I turned my phone on the battery was nearly depleted.When trying to charge it with the mini jack, the battery icon doesn't change to indicate it is charging, I have tried many different Nokia chargers with the mini jack and it does nothing. When I plug it into my laptop it recognizes it as a Nokia N8 and connects to Nokia suite OK, it then tries to charge showing the nokia logo, and dot sequence but then disappears and stops charging. I have also tried starting the charge on my 808 pureview USB charger and then plugging the charger back into the N8 to the same effect as plugging it into the laptop.

Mar 31, 2010I purchased a Nokia N97 Mini about a month and a half ago. There is a problem with the headset that came supplied with the phone, firstly when the jack moved it cut out and nothing could be heard. Now however, the left earpiece has completely stopped working. It is due to a faulty jack on the headphones, as I've seen the problem before, but on a supposedly quality pair of headphones less than two months old this should definitly not happen.I took the headphones into an authorised Nokia warrenty service repair shop today and they said they need a reciept before they repair the headphones. I explained to them that I did not get a reciept for the headphones as they came supplied with the phone, but they kept saying they could not fix them until I had a reciept for them. I asked if the reciept for the phone would suffice and they said no, it HAD to be for the headphones. Please explain what I am to do, how do I go about getting these repaired under the warranty?
