For me its giving error message saying "your language is not supported". I have selected English is as my language but still I'm getting the same error.
I have Nokia E55 and i was seeking a kind of application that's supposed to make my Nokia E55 act as 3G Wifi AP to let my notebook connect the internet using my Nokia wirelessly. Actually, it's quite same like Samsung Android's Mobile AP feature.I head JoikeSpot but couldn't find a free version. Is there any solid, working and free solution to install on my No
I was always using on other phones with Android 2.2 FroYo that 3G mobile hotspot feature, which was included right in the Android system under Wireless Networks settings. Now in Defy there is no option like that under settings in FroYo. Defy includes own app called 3G Mobile Hotspot, which should work like that option for creating mobile WiFi hotspots in other Android phones. But here is the problem. On my older phone with Android 2.2 I could create 3G WiFi hotspot wherever I needed and it worked. But now, with Defy, when I use that application 3G Mobile Hotspot, it writes me error when creating WiFi hotspot "Cannot set up data link, please contact your service provider" I suppose it is something with my carrier (Vodafone_CZ), but when I used 3G WiFi hotspots on older phones (which had that feature included right in Android settings menu) it worked without problems and I a used mobile phone for 3G internet sharing with my laptop. Now I remember, that I have deleted some DUN profile under APN Internet profiles, could it be that problem, that 3G Mobile Hotspot app is not working?how to create WiFi hotspot on my Defy for example with some other app?Or if not, how can I use Internet Tethering in Defy Mobile Networks menu via Bluetooth (my laptot has BT). I dont know, what should I set in my laptot to use Defy like BT 3G Internet provider and I dont know, if Internet Tetherig via BT is not charged at my carrier (I know, that the 3G WiFi hotspot feature was not extra charged..) so for that reason I would like to make it working on my Defy.
My ROM: original 34.179.2.MB525.Retail.en.CEE Android 2.2.2
I have the iPhone 4 3G and also have a Kindle Touch. Can I set the phone to do a portable hotspot so I can use my Kindle without having to go to a Wi-Fi hotspot place?

Please tell me there is any good free software is available for N97 which turns the phone to a WiFi HotSpot.
I used the Joikuspot Premium and that's really good but don't want to spend money, if anything free is available which have no limitation on accessing the internet (http, ftp. smtp).
After much time spend on the ovi maps (trying to get it to work again) I thought I would post here. My problem is as follows, I initially had maps working on my X6 for approx 10 days, had Europe maps installed and Malaysia (as I am roaming here). Now I know that some devise had maps 3.01 installed and this had a 10 day license, I currently have 3.04 installed and when I open the maps application it just opens and closes! I did some searching on the net and tried various things, deleted the cities file folder and the qf file, reconnected to pc and opened ovi suite, the cities folder was re-created but not the qf file??
I have checked/watched the installation of maps 3.04 and each time it says successful but when I try to open it just closes straight away and device says no application installed. I had a look at the installed apps on the device for ovi maps and says its there. The other strange this is that ovi maps is installed on the D drive where as every other app in on the C drive?
confirm if the current BB os 7 or the expected to be released 7.1 will have wifi hotspot? I have search through the forum and BB support, but there are conflicting info.
I was a FoxFi / Pdanet+ user for years with my Razr Maxx... now w/ this M8 and KitKat, it is no more.
Are there any apps available that work with Verizon on the M8 to be able to use your M8 as a wifi hotspot?
I thought verizon lost a lawsuit years about over this issue... not it appears that to get around the loss... android itself has fooked up being able to use your own data plan through a wifi hotspot. I do NOT have an unlimited plan, so by the court ruling, I should be able to use my phone as a wifi hotspt w/o paying verizon an wifi hotspot fee..
I just recently rooted my phone, and now I am trying to get WiFi hotspot working. No luck yet.
I tried WiFi Tether TrevE Mod. I couldn't get the network to be seen on my tablet (Nexus 7 2013). I could see it from my laptop, as a ad-hoc network, but couldn't get it to connect.
I have used the built in WiFi hotspot when I was travelling overseas and had a local SIM card in; that worked great. That is the functionality I am looking for, so it works with tablets (more than one) at the same time.
When I turn on my hotspot on my iPhone 5s, then Bluetooth and wifi, I can connect using Bluetooth, but wifi does not show in my discoverable networks when trying to tether to my ipad 3. Tried resetting network settings on both devices, using the system reset too but it does not show as a discoverable network connection. I have tried using other apple equipment too.
I have a local wifi service that works great with my laptop, but when I try to connect to it using the BB, it does not allow me to connect. I am not even getting to the user name/password prompt. It goes through the redirecting page then comes back after several seconds with a "bad query". I have tried the hotspot browser, firefox and Internet explorer with the same results. I have deleted the entry for the wireless connection, cleared all of my cache including cookies. I have neighbors that connect to the same wifi with their iPhones and it is no problem for them. Why would a BB be different. Curve 8530 v5.0.0.508.
I am trying to connect to a wifi hotspot login, everything works fine till I get to the login page where I just have a blank screen. I have tried the same connection with another brand phone and it works.
