View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone has started to play up: even when it says I have full reception, and when calling from places where I have made calls before, I am starting to get 'connection error' when I try to make a call about four tries out of every five. Also, people calling me get directed straight to my voicemail.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had nokia x3-02 for few days now, but It drained away my credits by entering the internet via gprs & edge, although I have a wireless router, so I sat it up to gsm network only & deleted the phone company or (service provider) Internet settings, & now I can't seem to get ovi store online or even comunities application too,it keeps giving me an error message ( unable to connect to service, try again later ) & ( network connection error, try again later ) though web browsing via opera & nokia browsers works just fine & I saved my wlan settings but it keeps asking me still in browsers to choose my access point, but that's tolerable at least, but I don't know why these both apps can't get online, they did when I had phone service provider internet, but not through wireless network now, & the router is in the same room & the signal is so strong if you're asking?

The last time I synced with Outlook, a lot of the same contacts came up multiple times -- around 50+ times each. Seems the only way to delete them is individually. I would like to know the following: 1) is there a way to do multiple deletes and 2) what made this happen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've switched off - completely - both taskiller apps (which were shown to ignore the alarms) and still nothing. I got up at 11.45 because of that today, and very soon I'll be relying on alarms very much, and can't have this madness! I tried a market alarm too and no change.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the following feature requests (I previously had a SE phone):
1. You cannot assign different melodies for different alarms. Even old $50 non-smartphones can do that.
2. You cannot make one alarm for Monday, Thuesday and Friday and another alarm for Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Work days are absolutely insufficient. Please, make it possible to assign any number of days for any alarm.
3. Delivery reports must be a part of the sent messages. It's absolutely inconvenient to have them in a separate folder. This way you have to go into a separate folder just to know if a message was delivered or not (in case you've sent a dozen of messages and missed on-screen delivery reports).
4. Received SMS messages do not include sent date information (a time/date when a person hit 'send' ), only a time/date of actual delivery.
5. When adding a contact to a contact list, earlier SMS messages from this contact remain unidentified.
6. Service requests, e.g. *NUMBER# have no user feedback. All other mobile phones I've dealt with say: "Requesting ..." (I can upload video demonstrating this issue.)
7. Many actions, like hanging up cause very uneven feedback - the phone shutdowns in less than a fraction of a second. I can upload video demonstrating this issue.
8. It's not clear if a mobile telephone is fully charged up - especially if you haven't heard the completion sound/alarm.
9. The same telephone numbers with different prefixes are not recognized. In my country you can call a person "8 123456789" and receive a phone call from "+7 123456789" - Nokia 5530 will treat these two numbers as different numbers when in fact they are the same.
Also you can call a person or a land line phone by omitting country and city prefix like 1234567 and then that person or number will call from "+(country prefix) (city prefix) 1234567" and, of course, Nokia will not recognize this phone number. So this is a direct request to Nokia software engineers: if the last five digits of a number match any previously stored number it must be treated as the old already saved number, e.g. a call from XXXXX12345 must be treated as a call from PersonA who has 12345 telephone number.
10. When entering an SMS message, the phone sometimes goes nuts and after you've finished typing a sentence ending it with dot, all subsequent characters are entered in CAPS mode. (I can upload video demonstrating this issue).
11. QWERTY keyboard in wide screen mode should look exactly like a QWERTY keyboard, like here http://www.gonzalobarr.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/qwerty.gif So the second row should have a different indentation and e.g. 'A' char should be located almost in the middle of 'Q' and 'W' chars above. Right now in wide screen QWERTY keyboard the second and third row chars are located exactly under first row chars and it's not easy to map this image with your memory of QWERY keyboard. That makes typing much more difficult.
12. You cannot edit a contact before opening it, which means a lot of unneeded clicks. Please, add "Edit" to contact "Options".
I have various calendar alarms set on my Nokia 5800XM. It has the latest software according to OVI although I have seen a slightly later release online. When an alarm sounds the phone seems to lock up. I can't stop or silence the alarm nor can I unlock the screen to do so. To stop the alarms I have to either switch the phone off or press the red button which snoozes the alarms for 10 mins.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHow can I put an alarm for Mondays and Thursdays and another for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays? When I input one new alarm it changes the days of the other at the weekly work days already chosen. It makes it impossible for me to put two different work weeks.
View 4 Replies View RelatedX6 Alarms, how do they work. I see it can take multiple alarms (one up on Blackberry), BUT how do you switch them off, or snooze? When the alarm goes off, a partly lit screen appaears with a STOP and SNOOZE button on the touch screen. Tapping either does nothing. Even unlocking the phone on the side slideer and then taping on these two tough screen button does nothing!. Only recourse is to click on the Red Telephone button, which seems to have the same effect as a snooze button. Still no idea how to actually switch it off, and tend to go into alarms and delete it or reset it to a prior time. Also do alarms that are set for "Weekdays" stay, or do you have to reset (re create) the alarm each time.

View 9 Replies View RelatedRecently the alarm clock function has stopped working. Alarms set but do not start. Since Lollipop 5.1.1 .... They aren't silent, they just fail to start, confirmation of alarm in x amount of mins / hours appears as confirmation of alarm set. Time of alarm trigger set point passes and the alarms do not launch.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I just got my HTC One M8 yesterday and did a ton of things to set it back up. So far there is just the one thing I really miss over my Nexus 4 .... no upcoming alarms in the notification shade.
I have 3 alarms set for the morning my first wake up 2nd wake up then the leave the house alarm. It was easy to set these alarms up but this morning when I woke up before the first one (like normal) I'm used to pulling down the notification shade and my Nexus 4 had entries for the next 2 hours of upcoming alarms. I could then tap the dismiss alarm and it wouldnt go off when the time came around.
So this morning I had to uncheck the box activating the alarm then wait for the time to pass and turn it back on. This is doable but kind of annoying now that I'm used to dismissing it..... Any way to get the upcoming alarms in the notification window like my Nexus 4? or a way that without turning off the alarm I can dismiss the alarm from going off for that day but it will still go off the next?
OK when i go to set my alarm on my IPhone 5 why cant i just click one of the alarms to edit it? their is already an on/off switch for the alarm do i really need to hit edit at the top right corner of the screen.

I'd like to be able to have the snooze function off by default when creating alarms using the Clock app (particularly for alarms created via Siri, but also for manually set alarms), but there seems to be no way to do this. Do you have to create the alarm first and then edit it to set the snooze facility off?

View 5 Replies View RelatedYou know those pesky barriers at the entrance to stores that beep when you try to steal DVD's etc? Well normally my iPhone will pass through all peaceful like a small mouse sleeping in the hay on a desserted barn somewhere in deepest Idaho or Somerset. But today I got a text message and it was displayed on my screen unread, I passed through the barrier of my local Tesco store and all hell broke loose.
The big black security guard went after me, frightened me and caused me to run screaming through the car park, everyone saw me and it was very embarrassing being led back into the store, everyone thought I was either Al Quada or Al Capone. But the culprit twas my phone being in the state of unviewed text message.Anyone else have this disturbing encounter?...maybe try it for sh*ts and giggles...have your running shoes on though.
My doubt is the next, I turn on the vibrate on alarms and it doesn't vibrate and if I turn off it doesn't vibrate, well, I works correctly when I turn off but when I turn on it doesn't make this correct work.
