Sep 8, 2011I have copied deos from my PC to my phone, but I am unable to watch them as I cannot find them anywhere. I have real playerm VLCC and MX players on my phone.

Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Unable To Play Online Videos After Upgrade
Dec 20, 2010I successfully upgraded to Android 2.1 on my Xperia x10 Mini Pro. After the upgrade everything works beautifully except 2 things.
1> I am unable to play any online videos. When I try loading the video it does not load the control for it and shows a small square block like a Lego brick. Looks like the browser is missing some add-on like Flash or something. Have tried installing Flash for the browser but it said Flash is already installed.. Have tried downloading a different browser, like Opera but that does not help either.
2> This is not very important, but for some reason the alarm does not work any more. I can set the alarm on the phone. It shows that the alarm is set for a particular time but when the time comes it does not ring. Have tried using different applications for this but those don't work either.

Mar 20, 2011I bought a new X10 mini Pro 2 days back and tried taking some pictures on the phone. The camera does not not get activated when I press teh Key avalable at the side of the phone. When i activate the camera from the application menu, I could focus and also use the flash to take picture. A green dot appears at the top left corner of the screen and blinks for some time indicating it is ready to shoot. I also get a beep sound as it should normally happen when the shot is successful. But, the pictures are not saved on my phone. I tried both inserting a sim card and without it.

Oct 11, 2010It wont play all my videos, just a few of them. All my videos are MP4 and 3GP-files, so I wonder what may be wrong with the others...size, frame (or something)? It's weird because it's playing files about 6 000 kb, but not 300 kb. Where's the logistic?

Nov 16, 2010OS: Android 2.1 (Had been already installed when i bought X10 mini).
When I am trying to play any mp4 videos in a default player, appears a error "Can not play video." I tried to intall other players from market, but nothing, same problem. Also, its not a problem with video files, because I asked my friend to try playing the same mp4 videos which my X10 Mini can't play and he had no problems with them... All videos played correctly in a default player.
Also I tried to reinstall OS, but problem still exists.

How can i fix this, or should i take it to service centre? The reddish colour was already present even before I uopdated the from from GB to ICS.

Oct 14, 2010Connected it to the PC companion and was informed about the update. Switched off the phone and turned it back on. Connected the usb port while holding the back button and selected connect the phone but nothing happened. I've tried this about 6 times now and nothing.Should the phone be asking me what i want to do each time? I thought there was an option to set the phone to automatically mount when connecting the usb cable but it seems to be gone in 2.1. Could anything be blocking it? Nov 10, 2012A few weeks ago I got the notification that an update was available for my phone. My friend got the same update via his HTC shortly after, he was able to update directly from his phone without any problem. I was informed I had to connect to a PC to update mine, frustrating but I do understand the definate benefit. But there are only benefits if the software related is robust and well tested, which it isn't.I connected my phone, updated PC companion, connected the phone via pc companion. Attempted to use the support zone which had just been updated also. I got the error message saying " Pc Companion need to connect to online server". I have done suggest it's only a temporary problem but I've tried on over 10 different occasions on two different PC's.I then tried using the SUS as I needed to use that to update to ICS in the first place, but it wants to dowload a 127mb file, way to big for the patch which is meant to be 0.1mb.

Apr 14, 2012I received an update notification today on my Xperia mini. For whatever reason Sony only provide this update via a PC. Tried to carry out the update on 2 computers without success. On one computer PC companion returns an eror message at the 'preparing computer' stage - no help on how to rectify the problem. On my laptop, PC companion switches off my phone and then freezes the computer. I di on one attempt get to the 'update' stage where I was presented with some odd manipulations of disconnecting and re-connecting the phone. I followed the instructions but then update process didn't continue.Can anyone cast any light on this or better still can Sony provide the update OTA?

Oct 23, 2010My x10 mini pro is was working just fine until 3 days ago. But all of a sudden, it wasn't letting me send sms anymore. I still am able to receive sms though. Its just the problem with sending sms.Whenever i try to send an sms, it shows 'sending' for like 4 seconds and then shows 'could not send'.Been having this issue since 3 days and it still persists.Let me tell you what all i have done. (Except for restarting the phone a million times)
1. Network tower issue: To check if the issue was with the tower, i moved a good 30 miles away to another tower and it still had the issue. Plus, my other friends living just next door are able to send and receive sms through the same network operator.
2. Phone software issue: To check if it was an issue with the phone, i flashed my phone with the pc companion and installed a fresh copy of android 2.1. But the problem persists.
3. Sim: I removed and re-inserted the sim card a few times just to make sure the contact was proper with the chip. And it was properly connected.Now, the only thing thats left in my mind is if my operator changed the message centre number of the network.But then, there's no way of changing or editing the message centre number in android 2.1.It used to be in Home screen > Settings > Wireless controls > Mobile networks > SMS centre in 1.6.But unfortunately, it aint there anymore in 2.1.

Jan 8, 2011I bought the x10 mini pro just before christmas and am having trouble trying to upgrade to android 2,1. I have checked the firmware version on the phone and it says version 1.6. I have downloaded the latest version of pc companion and update service and when i connect to update it says i am running the latest software. I am unable to send files via bluetooth so must definatley still be running 1.6. can anyone help me and advise me how i can upgrade from 1.6 to 2.1?
