I have recently bought Sony Erriscon Mini pro SK 17i. I have updated my android software to 2.3.3. But everybody complains that they are unable to hear my voice right from the start. Can you tell me how to deal with this problem ? How can I increase the volume or power of the mic ?
View 3 RepliesI'm trying to update my sk17i to ICS, using both pc companion and flash tool, but none of it works since pressing volume down does nothing on my phone when I plug it in. The diode flashes green or white for a blink, then the screen shows Sony Ericsson, and then the battery icon come up. I am in MSC mode, usb debug on or off does not matter, I've removed battery, SIM, SD card, and nothing works.

Is it supposed to be like that I have the volume on max. Does the volumes setting in sound settings make any difference in the loudness of the caller? I have xLoud checked in the sound settings.

View 6 Replies View Relateda while back my xperia mini started with this annoying (and weird ) habit to slowly decrease the volume on the left speaker when playing music. It starts out as normal balance but after a few songs the left is starting to go down to a very low level. Not muting it completely though. It doesn't replug the headphones or even restart the phone. When I give up and leave it for a while it returns to normal though...for a while. Do you think it's hardware or software based? Since it takes a while for the volume to go down I feel it can be difficult for a support to properly analyze it. I'm running stock android 2.1-update1. I've tried different music players but it stays the same.

A few hours later, it remained at 35% indication.Since this couldn't be correct, i restarted the phone. Now, my battery indication was 100%. False again.I turned the phone off. It wouldn't restart.I tried the 'flash device method' by holding back button and putting in computer USB. No help.I tried SEUS. After that, phone switched back on, with false battery indication back to 100%, which is impossible.I noticed that during all this 'fun stuff', my battery refuses to charge. The LED indicator remains green without flashing, the settings screen doesnt say 'charging'. I know that the phone won't charge below 95% battery.So, the phone thinks the battery is 100%, therefore won't charge, and I'm pretty screwed, especially since I fear that once my battery drops dead, the phone won't be able to charge ever since it will think its 100% full...
Can i connect usb flash drive through usb mini port of my phone and usb mini to usb cable and view files of flash drive on phone..?

A friend suggested that it may just need updating, which made sense because I'd been getting update notifications, just hadn't got round to hooking my ohone up to my laptop. So I did just that and installed the 'companion' but when I try to update, it's asking me to insert a memory card. I've never taken it out! Not once. I just updated my Xperia Mini Pro, but after the update, a) new text messages appear at the bottom of the list of texts (so annoying!) and b) the newest text message does not appear on the list when I reply to it.Is this a bug? I really don't think it's a feature.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust wanted to share my experience. I did the update on November 8. I didn't bother to do the backup. The only real important is the contacts and Google have them already. I used the Update Service tool and it worked like a charm. After restarting the phone I had to go through the setup wizard, which by the way is much improved. I now realized that I had lost all my downloaded applications. I downloaded them again from market. Most of them had all the old data, nice. Some games lost all history, no big deal really. My contacts, mail and calendar was downloaded from Google.
I realy like the fact that it is possible to send contacts by SMS. The images from facebook also works very well.
The one thing that I am still not used to is the unlooking. The habbit of pressing the menu button twice is had to kick. I think the new way with the slider is somewhat safer.Now I am waiting 2.2 with tethering. I hope this will be available for X10 mini some time in the future.
i want to uninstall the apps like the peggle, rollar coaster etc... which are already in my phone.

1 select sd card in settings on the X10 then select unmount sd card.2 take out the card with the phone still switched on since I can't remove the battery there is no obvious way to depower it
3 put card in my pc's card reader and copy its contents to a folder on the pc (using copy and paste?), I have seen some mention of hidden files - is there any trick here?
4 put the new sd card in the pc and copy the stored contents onto it
5 put the card into the X10
6 what now - how do I get the x10 to accept the new card?
I'm just got an Xperia X10 mini pro, and I have a probably dumb question on how to use it: I can't seem to dial anything once I'm in a call
If I am calling a customer service line, or my voicemail, I need to enter keypad entries. However once the call begins there is nothing I can do to be able to press anything, unless I pop the keyboard out and back in again. I understand there is a proximity sensor but head isn't that big. Am I doing something wrong? I just updated the OS to the latest version of Android 2.1
Can't update my Mini Pro to ICS. My SI number is not yet on the list. Are there many more SI numbers to come?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded my mini pro to ICS, it works fine in the first few moments until I realized that my phone can't:
1. Show any album art/cover from the music player. I've tried using the Sony Media Go to add the album arts to the file properties, still it didn't work. Only the 'default' songs from the product i.e brett5000: Globalization, missquerada: Far from love, and 2 others, can display their album cover
2. Update songs. Any new songs that I put into my phone through Sony Media Go aren't shown in the music player, only the old ones are present (though I've deleted it). I found the files when I opened it using a file manager program from the Play Store, but when I played it, none of its properties are present except the title of the song itself. It's not even present in the music player
I have a small problem. I have no idea how to install the apps on the SD card. I run out of memory very fast and I have to uninstall some old apps every time I fing some new ones. I don't know where to go and change the setting.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just realized that when making/receiving calls, the volume is really soft even after I crank the in-call volume to 100%. The experience is as if the person on the other end of the line is covering the mic when talking (like a muffled sound).I did the service test (Menu-Back-Back-Menu-Back-Menu-Menu-Back) on the earphone, and the volume is way much louder at 100%. Is there anyway for me to reach a similar (as in the service test) volume level when making/receiving calls? I don't mind if the volume at 100% is too loud for my ear to handle, I can always adjust it to a lower volume. But, when the volume is still soft even at 100%?
View 7 Replies View RelatedFM-radio volume is way too low compared to walkman and other apps.If i have max volume on bt-spekers/headset and max in z3 volyme is still very low, even hard to hear while jogging. Then again If starting walkman(or another sound app) at those settings it will explode in sound. Not that fun and easily happens by accident. Am i missing some setting here, it cant be normal that two apps have that differnet sound volyme out?
