I attached some audio files from a movie to my Notes Lite app. The files exist but my phone does not recognize them. These have a name oI 13 characters of numbers without any extension. I would convert them but I am not able to find their place by Total Commander.

I go to the out tray in Email app, and displays a button: Send messages. I click it, it goes "Sending messages..." Then back to the square one. No error message, no nothing. The same with the gMAIL app just that there is no button, just stays in the out tray. However when I forward an email with attached content it would send alright, but no if I attach the file myself, or "Insert" from gallery.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an app, Activity Classifier, that uses the handset accelerometers to provide information on activities and total exercise. It automates exercise tracking, classifies activities by type and quantifies aerobic intensity. Live data streamed from an Xperia Arc using the app is displayed in a blog. While it is possible to use on the Active it is unfortunately more difficult on the Active than the Arc because the Active accelerometers have a fault that is hard to get around. The problem is that the accelerometers sometimes take quite a while to start sampling when either started or the sampling frequency is changed.Occasionally it can take longer than 90 seconds. The problem can be seen with the app Accelerometer Frequency. Switch between sampling frequencies and notice that sometimes it switches instantly and sometimes it doesn't. To minimise battery consumption Activity Classifier acquires data from the accelerometers for 6 seconds out of every 30. If no other app is using the accelerometers they will start and stop every sampling period. On the Active they frequently don't start and the app detects a faulty accelerometer. The app has an option to keep accelerometers on and if this is selected it will work OK but battery consumption goes up a lot. The Active comes with a pedometer app called Walkmate. I can see from the Accelerometer Frequency app that Walkmate keeps the acclerometers running at 50 Hz and running Walkmate at the same time as Activity Classifier will make Activity Classifier work OK as well. Walkmate seems pretty power efficient and uses less than half the power of the market leading pedometer app Accupedo, run in power balanced mode, but it counts a different number of steps.

View 2 Replies View Relatedyesterday out of the blue the display on my active stopped working. i connected it to the pc and did a reset/reinstalled the firmware but still no display.i can play music using the original headphones and the headset controls and the home/menu/back buttons light up when i press the unlock key but that's about it.oh yes and i think i managed to unlock the screen even though it was totally back as i could could play/pause music and skip tracks using the screen controls (pressing where i guessed the music controls were).

I have a jailbroken 3GS and can verify that both the Pandora and Tunein Radio processes continue to run in the background when closed just like native apps. I have Pandora streaming in the background right now and can tell you that its process is definitely running and is using 16.3 MB of memory. Not only that, but the processes do not close even when the music is paused and the app window is closed. I just stopped playing music in Pandora and closed the Pandora window. It continues to run in the background and is using 15.3 MB of memory. Manually closing the app using the tap hold close method in the multitasking bar does actually close the app.
I suspect that if the OS needs memory it will close such an app. I don't think it really changes how we will interact with our phones, and we shouldn't need to manually close things as long as iOS manages memory effectively. Still, this is not how most of us understoodd the APIs working.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I woke up this morning my phone was turned off so I try to turn it on by holding the power button, it only flashes the LED (red) 3 times between short pauses, no vibrations then stays turned off.Next, I tried to plug the charger in then holding the power button. still the same symptoms as above.Lastly, I tried plugging the charger / connector to my laptop then plugging the phone in. When I did that, the red LED shows 1 blink on intervals as opposed from the 3 blinks above.I know I still have my warranty but I want at least try and fix it because I don't like going out on weekends (the days of the week where I get to rest) so I'd rather try a fix here at home.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI Have a HTC One s with a GoSmart sim card. I have had this phone for over 5 months with no problems. On New Years eve, my phone was acting weird and couldnt play any music files. When i would play it song, it would say "Unable to play this type of audio file" Then i try to play a video on youtube, and it would say "There was a problem while playing touch to retry" Nothing that had to do with sound worked. Alarms, ringtones, and even phone calls wouldnt work.
When someone would call me, it would be silent, and when i answered, no sound would come out. I restored my phone to it's factory settings and at first it didnt work, i restarted my phone like 2 times after restoring it, and it worked. I was able to listen to music, play videos, and talk on the phone. This only lasted 5 days. i dont want to go through the hassle of restoring my phone again.

I have a music collection at home I would like to listen to on my BB as an mp3 player.
I have my collection stored in FLAC files, however, I have also converted it all to 320kbs MP3s.
My question is, what is the best way to put these files on my BB? Use the BB Media Sync/Media Manager? Use an application like Winamp? or should i skip putting files on my phone entirely and use winamp remote?

I have purchased a Nokia E63 and now find it does not support aa* files which is the format Audio Books use Is there a known work around? . I understand that aa* files are encrypted to protect the authors royalties and cannot understand why Nokia want to block the files as they do not offer an alternative.
