I want to delete all my messages (sms) from my phone permanent.Im told that if I just delete them from the regular postmessage, they will still be to find on phones memmerycard, log or somthing? And I want to be sure that nobody would be able to read all my old teksts.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an app, Activity Classifier, that uses the handset accelerometers to provide information on activities and total exercise. It automates exercise tracking, classifies activities by type and quantifies aerobic intensity. Live data streamed from an Xperia Arc using the app is displayed in a blog. While it is possible to use on the Active it is unfortunately more difficult on the Active than the Arc because the Active accelerometers have a fault that is hard to get around. The problem is that the accelerometers sometimes take quite a while to start sampling when either started or the sampling frequency is changed.Occasionally it can take longer than 90 seconds. The problem can be seen with the app Accelerometer Frequency. Switch between sampling frequencies and notice that sometimes it switches instantly and sometimes it doesn't. To minimise battery consumption Activity Classifier acquires data from the accelerometers for 6 seconds out of every 30. If no other app is using the accelerometers they will start and stop every sampling period. On the Active they frequently don't start and the app detects a faulty accelerometer. The app has an option to keep accelerometers on and if this is selected it will work OK but battery consumption goes up a lot. The Active comes with a pedometer app called Walkmate. I can see from the Accelerometer Frequency app that Walkmate keeps the acclerometers running at 50 Hz and running Walkmate at the same time as Activity Classifier will make Activity Classifier work OK as well. Walkmate seems pretty power efficient and uses less than half the power of the market leading pedometer app Accupedo, run in power balanced mode, but it counts a different number of steps.

View 2 Replies View Relatedyesterday out of the blue the display on my active stopped working. i connected it to the pc and did a reset/reinstalled the firmware but still no display.i can play music using the original headphones and the headset controls and the home/menu/back buttons light up when i press the unlock key but that's about it.oh yes and i think i managed to unlock the screen even though it was totally back as i could could play/pause music and skip tracks using the screen controls (pressing where i guessed the music controls were).
View 2 Replies View Relatedprobably since the last Android Update to 4.0.4, my Ray with 4.1.B.0.587 starts self-actuated a permanent reboot loop whenever I am crossing the German-Austrian border and therefore reaching an Austrian (i.e. foreign) network.
The loop restarts whenever it reaches the point where it checks the SIM card and then starts with a Sony screen like when I switch it on. The loop can only be interrupted by removing the battery. OK, also by going back to Germany. I have full phone roaming authorization from my home network (vodafone), yet for data roaming I need to purchase day or week packages. Up to that Android update, all that worked perfectly, including tehtering.
So, in fact, I am currently not able to use my phone in foreign networks.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I woke up this morning my phone was turned off so I try to turn it on by holding the power button, it only flashes the LED (red) 3 times between short pauses, no vibrations then stays turned off.Next, I tried to plug the charger in then holding the power button. still the same symptoms as above.Lastly, I tried plugging the charger / connector to my laptop then plugging the phone in. When I did that, the red LED shows 1 blink on intervals as opposed from the 3 blinks above.I know I still have my warranty but I want at least try and fix it because I don't like going out on weekends (the days of the week where I get to rest) so I'd rather try a fix here at home.

I have a new X3-02 which was updated via Ovi-suite v3.1.1.90I then copied contacts from sim to phone, then synced. At this point, the contacts page in Ovi just shows the little dotted circles just endlessly spinning.Any ideas anyone? My Lumia 1520 has a permanent discolouration in the lower right hand corner. There's a rusty purple blotch about the size of a pinky finger nail clipping about a cm above and half cm to the left of the menu ellipsis.
This blotch is ONLY VISIBLE ON BLACK BACKGROUNDS. When the screen is white or any other colour, the blotch doesn't appear.
I can see two lights at the edge of the screen (one above and one below the discolouration.)
This is strange because all the overheating issues are localized around the top left hand corner of the screen to the left of the camera lens. I assume the processor is in that region.

I did microphone test and yes the voice is quite, but other sounds like wind or touch is double the volume of my voice, i had this problem earlier, but it dissapeared after vacuming the mic, but now it appeared again. Is there any way i can boost mic volume. Phone aint phone if im unhearable. I dont understand why the mic is located so deep, the hole is big and nice place for dust to sit in. View 9 Replies View RelatedAs I have read about ICS and the G Nexus on many forums it came to my attention that the notification tones and the ringtones are permanently linked together. I am extremely dissapointed to hear this. I am enjoying my Razr, but wait excitedly for ICS to come to my Razr. Now I am concerned. I am hoping that this can be passed on to Motorola developers and see if something can be done. I have already posted something in the Goggle mobile forums as well, I am not sure if it will be seen or not.Prior to ICS we have been able to link and unlink our notification sounds and ringtone as we see fit. I like to have mine linked in the day to run off one volume control and then unlink at night to silence all notifications, but keep my ringtone available in case of emergencies. Having text messages, email, and various other notifications wake me up at night is unacceptable. I am not sure why this feature had to change. I am hoping it was a gross oversight and can be easily corrected. I am posting this here in hopes that if Google doesn't change it that Motorola can in the version it releases to it's devices.
From reading forums I know I am not alone in this opinion. Many people do the same as me including the 5 droids that live in my home. :) Please moderators when you read this pass my concern on to the appropiate place. I am not a developer so I have no idea what goes into writing the software, but I just can't see what is so drastic in ICS that this feature had to be taken out.
I did the update to 4.0.2.A.0.42 yesterday, not sure what I was on before.I am now having gps issues, I get an inital fix OK but I am not getting continuas updates.It's not a bug in my IpBike App I am seeing the same behaivure with the standard google maps app and a couple of other apps I have tried.I have also checked my app on an old X8 and it's working ok there still.I have done a restart of the phone but that made no difference.The GPS itself is working OK, if I start and stop the mapping apps they get a good quick inital fix but they don't contunue to get updates.Looking in the Logcat there is nothing obviously wrong.Is there any way of going back to the previous software version?
