View 4 Replies View RelatedMy iphone 5 rear camera won't focus on close objects. This happened a few months after I upgraded it to iOS 7. I'm not entirely sure what the issue is and there are no genius bars nearby to take it to. Later I noticed this tiny black spot in my pictures. Its unlike any 'speck of dust' pictures I'm encountering.Â
I would just like to know whether this is a scratch or a hardware problem or if its something on (not in) the lens that can be removed with cleaning. This is the camera at maximum zoom. The size of the spot increases when I zoom in.
In the mid-night, I just want to grab an URL, open barcode scanner, after scanning, I close my app and I heard a click (physical click) from my phone.
Then I open the barcode scanner again, wait for the auto-focus stuff, press Back and "click" again.
Now I open the camera app, wait for auto-focus completes, press Back and "click". This happens every time auto-focus finishs and I quit the app.
For some reason today when i opened up my camera to take a few shots it had problem auto focusing on items close to me, as you know when you tap the screen to focus on a point in the screen you get the circle and a small beep to let you know it's focusing ok, it seemed to have problems getting to this point and there was an audible high pitched buzzing or clicking sound coming from the lens itself and the screen image would not come into focus
the phone has not been dropped or roughly handled so i am 100% sure it's not an issue caused by being knocked, i have tried a reset and a reboot but the issue still remains, also i have done no recent updates and there are none showing so that's not the issue either
When trying to FaceTime with my iPhone 5, the rear camera continually moves from focus to out-of-focus. I'm FaceTiming with absolutely mad because the picture moves from blurry to clear almost constantly.
I had to replace my first iPhone 5 after only 15 months because the rear camera couldn't auto-focus anymore (a well-documented problem), and I had to pay for a replacement phone. Now after only 5 months with the replacement iPhone 5 I received from Apple it seems like I'm having more issues with the rear camera.
I bought two Xperia z2 in USA, from www.amazon.com website. My phones are color black and white. The white phone's camera problem. Such as When I take a picture, the picture out of focus.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAccording to the Android Documentation, Camera.Parameters, the FOCUS_MODE_FIXED should usually set the camera focus to a hyperfocal mode, which should cover most of the focusable area. Testing with it however reveals that on my Xperia Neo, it is equal to FOCUS_MODE_INFINITE, which means that not a lot besides the sky and far-far away buildings are in focusable area.
Testing with a simple scene with different distances, it seems that in infinite setting, even stuff at some 30 meters (haven't measured exactly, but it's far away under cealing) is unfocused.
Sample pictures taken rapidly after each other (auto and fixed even at the same second): [URL]
Is there still a way to get it into proper hyperfocal setting?
The reason I'm asking this is to be able to put the camera into car and have it stay at a fixed focus, since vibrations of the car distract the continuous autofocus.
My camera on-screen buttons disappear whenever its trying to focus. It gives me a hard time to take pictures. This happens regardless of the settings or mode the camera is on. Because of this I was forced to use Google camera.
View 10 Replies View Relatedonly got the phone a week or so ago. Just goes to show how often I do use the camera button. Although I might not use it all the time, I would still like the button to work. Especially if I want to take pictures on the rain or underwater.
So basically the camera button does not take the picture but it does focus. Also camera does not open when you press the button.
I just got a new Z3, and the auto focus on the main camera isn't working. I can hear a click when I open the app, or when I switch from the front camera to the rear one - is that a normal sound? I changed the camera settings, cleared the app data, tried using Google Camera, and even reset the phone. Is there anything else I should try? Is my camera defective?
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy new 1020 doesn't seem to focus on (especially) close-up objects ! Everytimes i tap on the subjects to focus (close-up / macro), the camera unable to lock the focus ! Is it normal for 1020 or manufacturing defect ?
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy main idea of purchasing Xperia Z2 was the 4K video facility. It attracted me a lot..but once i started using it...quality is just acceptable and the continuous auto focus is really annoying...even when nothing moves in the frame the camera just make it focus again and again...this makes some worst videos after all.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe photographs I take with my Z3 main camera are blurred, hazy and lack color saturation & focus. I have read elsewhere that this might result from a defective lens cover with scratched anti-glare coating. Is there an easy way to fix this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought an Xperia Ray, which had some evidence of water damage. Everything works fine except the rear 8M camera.
Everytime I open an application that uses the rear camera I get a force close and application ends. Everything to do with the front camera works fine.
I am having a problem with the camera on my X10i, whenever I try to take a picture the phone freezes up and after about 20 seconds I get the message: "Sorry, Activity camera (in application camera) is not responding, then I get the option to force close or wait. Waiting doesn't work either.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm getting blurred images in macro mode or when the object is close and the camera app is failing to recognize close objects conssistently. I've tried repairing my phone but no dice. The issue is greater in case of small objects, eg flowers, etc and the camera doesn't even focus properly on it, resulting in abrupt and blur images.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAs we know it is not possible to use the E7 camera less than 1m distance, would it be possible to use the front camera? Especially for business cards and then scan it?

I don't know why the camera on my E5 doesn't focus well. Cause when you usually point at something, the focus always starts to ... focus, but this doesn't.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI got my HTC One about 3-4 weeks back from vodafone and everything worked perfectly, then about a week ago my camera started going out of focus and i cannot get a single picture in focus. The other problem I have is I accidentally dropped my phone, this was like a day after I figured out about the camera, and it's got the tiniest crack at the top of the screen. It's pretty much invisible unless you put the phone under a bright light and look for it, it doesn't bother me because it doesn't effect the screen and I cant even tell, however the people in the vodafone told me it voided my warranty.
View 15 Replies View RelatedThe camera will not focus at all on the back. Selfie camera works great right away. After about a minute with the back camera, it will finally focus and work great. All films have been removed from the exterior lens of the camera, so I know this isnt the problem. Camera is on auto focus, too.
View 9 Replies View RelatedThe camera in my new Galaxy S5 will not focus. A fix for this which I've seen several places on the web is: "You have to clear the camera app cache if you want from your camera app to take good quality photos and to focus correctly. To do this go to Settings > Application Manager > All Apps and then find the Camera app. Click on it and clear cache. This is like a factory reset for your camera." However, When I go to Settings > Applications > Application Manager (I must take the extra middle step to get there; perhaps my phone is a later model), I do not see anything called All Apps and cannot find the camera app there.
The camera is really no good if all the pictures are out of focus.
I got my iphone less than a month ago, and it worked fine untill i opened the camera app testerday. i want it to auto focus to the letters in a book, and it won't auto focus, and i tried tapping it it still doesn't work. everything close up is blurry. i tried everything that i can, turning it off, restart camera app, clean the camera.
