I have enabled tap to open option, but this has actually lead to a disaster, while in my pocket it keeps selecting options and what have you.
Anyways, now when I call it says that you can't make outgoing calls while call blocking is on,
I tested the call blocking feature today and noticed that it forwarded the call to voice mail. Is there any option somewhere to have it drop the call instead? I had this in my Captivate but not on my S3, had to use the Mr. Number app. Would be nice to have because if I go through the trouble of blocking a number, I don't want them leaving a message either. It's mostly telemarketers that I block and the messages they leave are usually dead air...

View 10 Replies View RelatedMy super easy cell phone number is a series of repeating numbers, so I am the reluctant recipient of A LOT of b/u/t/t-dialed calls, especially while I sleep. I turned on Blocking Mode on my Samsung Galaxy S5 so that only numbers that are NOT in my contacts are blocked while I sleep. I thought blocking these calls simply meant that my phone wouldn't ring and that notification sounds would be "silenced" since the setting options control notifications. Does it really mean that all of these b/u/t/t-dialed calls are completely blocked and do not show up in my call log?
Luckily, there are stretches of days when no one b/u/t/t-dials me. I haven't had a b/u/t/t-dial since I enabled Blocking mode, but it's been a few days, so I do not know what it is exactly.
I am happy that accidental b/u/t/t-dialers aren't bothering me at night, but since I thought that they'd still show up in my missed call log, I thought I'd still be able to see who called during the blocking mode. I am now concerned about missing an overnight call from someone who needs to reach in case of a family emergency (e.g., hospital, police department, etc.)
My iphone4s is blocking some calls that I need to get. How can i remove the call blocking on some calls?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI run a very small business and I'm occasionally on-site at my customers office most of the time. So whenever i'm out, i divert my office number to my Nexus 6P.
So the issue is that it's quite difficult for me to distinguish between a personal call or if it's a diverted call from my office to my Nexus 6P. Previously on Nokia or certain Samsung phones, there was an 'indicator icon' showing that it was a diverted/forwarded call. This worked for me tremendously.
It's definitely a phone feature and *not* a carrier issue. Have downloaded 3 apps (2 free and 1 paid) from the Play store, but they all do not seem to work. Am on "Pure Nexus" ROM.
I'm a bit annoyed that every time I get a call while in a call an attempt to answer it now asks me if I want to hang up or place the current call on hold, this is a great feature it's just poorly implemented, instead of skidding right to hold and up to hang up or left to ignore it forces me to slide right to answer then press what I want to do in a popup.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an original Jawbone with an Iphone 3gs with the latest firmware. As far as I can remember, this has always been the case since I got the Iphone, I cannot turn off the Jawbone while on a call. With my last phone (a MAXX VE on vxw), I could just hold down the button on the Jawbone for 3 seconds, the Jawbone would turn off and I could continue talking using the phone.
Now that I have the Iphone, holding that button down does nothing while I'm on a call. I, of course, can switch between the phone and the Jawbone, but I can't turn off the Jawbone unless I go to settings on the Iphone to disable bluetooth.
So my question is: Is there a way to power down the original Jawbone in the middle of a call on an Iphone
I am trying to set up call waiting on my Galaxy 6. I followed the directions: Tap: Phone, More, Settings, More Settings. I am supposed to see a Call Waiting choice at this point, but all I see are choices for TTY mode and hearing aids.

I seem to recall on my D2G that there was a setting in either Sounds or the Phone settings that would allow you to set a default in call volume. I can't seem to find that on the D4 and it would nice to have as the phone's default in call volume seems to be 100% which leads me to be continually turning down the volume on every call.

There was also a setting to end a call by clicking the power off button. I can no longer find these settings. Will they bring them back in a future software update? I miss these features!
View 3 Replies View RelatedIdeally, any time I make or receive a call I'd like for the screen to be automatically turned off as if I always immediately hit the "screen on/off" button once the call was active.
To describe in more detail: I want the screen to turn off independent of how close it is to my ear. If I want the screen on, I want to have to hit the "screen on" button. This would prevent me from ever accidentally hitting screen buttons when I position the phone on my collar during calls as opposed to holding it against my head.

I just got the Z3 and am having an issue with my contacts. When I go to select a contact to call it displays the fax number as default to call. Is there a away to change that? It does it for all contacts that have a fax number, the Phone icon shows up beside the fax number.
