Xperia Z2 :: Possible To Downgrade To Older Software Or Not?
May 11, 2015
I've updated to 23.4.A.1.232 ,but I found that it is bad. The previous update (23.4.A.1.200 ) was very good and the phone became smoother and faster. But with the new one it is now bad. I've updated using OTA. My question is : Can I make my phone goes back to the ( 23.4.A.1.200 ) software using PCC or not since I still have the updated files with PCC cause I updated to the 23.4.A.1.200 using PCC? Is this possible or not?
In reading up on iPhone firmware v3.1.2 seems preferred if one wants to unlock. In shopping for a new (to me) iPhone most seem to have 3.1.3 - the unlock procedure for this does not seem for the fainthearted. So, my question is where I might find a DIY guide for reverting to older firmware (i.e. 3.1.2) - assuming such is possible.
I had backup my data when my phone was on android 4.4.2. Since I updated it to android 5.1, I am unable to restore my data of that backup which I took in 4.4.2
I'm giving up on my X10 mini for numerous reasons: Battery life, poor UI, connection issues and the fact that its a very smart little computer but a pretty rubbish phone! I need to get my contacts off it and onto my old SE, think its a w595 or something.
I backed up my smses and contact in my sd card using the backup-and-restore-x10 program provided in android version 2.1.Now i have upgraded to version 2.3 and i am not able to install the same program and i cannot restore my sbf files.
I recently upgraded my Xperia Pro to 4.X.X, but I feel my mobile has gone too slow and lots of apps crashing, please guide me how to downgrade it back to the factory original OS.
I have Sony Xperia PRO MK16i which has not been custom modded in any way, not rooted, bootloader not touched in any way bu me. So you can say it is new and original. After using the phone for about 2 weeks, it gave me a notification to update the firmware, so i updated and the new one is 4.0.2.A.0.62 firmware version. But the problem i think is battery backup is very very less as compared to on lower firmware. So please tell me the steps to downgrade to FW 4.0.2.A.0.58.
im from india and looking forward to update my SE X-Neo V to ICS 4. this update is yet to come to my country. As of now ive a heard a lot of bad reviews regarding ICS4 on Neo V. But still i want to give it a try just to experience the new UI.
Ive a simple question in mind. If a upgrade to ICS4 is there any way to downgrade to 2.3.4? If there is, will it effect by warranty? and pls let me know if the downgrade is availble through Sony.
i want to downgrade my phone from ICS to Gingerbird. I dont want to take my phone to service center bcos they asked to wait from few days for downgrade process.I am going to other state forsome months in mid of next week . So its not possible to wait for some days to downgrade via service centre and also i dont like this laggy ICS on my phone. I want the steps to downgrade my phone by own and also i dont want to break my warrenty bcos i have more than 8 months of warenty period.Still i m confuse about rooting in phone. Is rooting will affect the warenty? if yes means, without root how can we downgrade?
I have bought a Xperia Mini Pro (sk17i) about two months ago.I was planning to upgrade to ICS but I am affraid that I can regret it. First, I see many people unhappy with some bugs on ICS and, second, I am affraid that I dont like ICS even if it has no bugs. I would like to try it but only if I could downgrade from ICS to GB (as it came when I bought the phone).
So, my question is if I can revert the phone to as it came when I bought it in the case that I upgrade to ICS and dont like it.(I mean a legal and official way to downgrade. Also, taking the phone to a Service Center wont be a solution because, as far as I konw, there is none in Portugal).
if I can downgrade android 4.0 to 2.3 in a xperia ray smartphone... Yesterday I did the upgrade in my sister's smartphone. Unfortunatelly she is used to android 2.3 , so she asked me to restore it...I thought that a factory reset would correct it, but no..
I Have installed officially the new anroid 4 ICS on my Xperia Pro and many of my games aren't working and just crash and close the moment i pay the game.i want back my old anroid but i know that i can only do this in the service center.I need to know if there's an other way to downgrade my android with rooting or with flashing or anything else .JUST GIVE ME BACK MY ANDROID i agreed to install android 4 because i was thinking it was better and improved but how i see it causes me much more problems ,even if it's more exciting than the old android i don't need it if it doesn't work right.
Rooting and flashing "might" void your warranty. I'm not responsible if anything happen to your phone (nothing should go wrong,, if something do go wrong, just repeat the whole process).
You want, that the ownwer of a pro installs PC companion and you animate him to upgrade to 4.o.4.But you don`t allude, the the pro gets much slower, can not be rooted simply as it is possible with android 2.3 !!
I've noticed that the last few trips to the US have cost me more than usual in terms of data roaming. I typically only use BBM when I travel South. Is it possible that BBM 5.0 uses more data than the previous versions? Could the addition of the profile pictures, and other added functionality have increased the data requirements?
An average day of BBM usage for me would be around 100kb previously, now it seems to be just under 200kb. The cost difference is negligible, but it got me thinking about the efficiently of 5.0
I recently updated to ios 5.1, and after about 10-40 seconds after unlocking my phone it stops to see my finger touches. the buttons work but not the touch screen. and this also hapens sometimes when I go to unlock the screen. so I have to lock the screen and try to unlock it to use the phone for about 30 seconds and then have it do the same thing making me lock it and unlock it again. I'm starting to think it is the ios 5.1 not liking my phone. I have a 3gs 16 gig. My screen was cracked and I had it replaced along with the digitizer, and when I got it back I did a restore and thats when it added the ios 5.1. So I was wondering if I can go back to an older ios and how to do that.
I updated my phone's fw to find out there's no Maps for it at the Nokia web site. When trying to start the app, it prompts me to update itself which seems to be impossible. Is there any way to delete the maps icon? I don't want to have it around if it is useless.Or, is there an older installer that my phone accepts, somewhere to be downloaded?
I need to reinstall older s/w version (100.x.x....) to my Nokia E71 due to functionality errors caused by latest firmware version 400..... and 300....where can I find older version?
I'm a Mac user - OS X 10.6. My Nokia is 3500 classic. I have 5000 SMS messages in it that I need to download to some safer location and I cannot access either the Inbox or Sent Messages with my Mac - only images and music folders.I have an old laptop running Windows XP (with no internet connection) so I downloaded the latest PC suite to my Mac and transported it to the XP laptop via memory stik. The latest version of PC suite refuses to install on the XP laptop saying that the OS version is not supported. It is XP 5.1 service pack 1. I do not wish to upgrade the junk laptop.
I'm trying to upgrade my 3.2 iPad to 3.2.1 but I don't know where to get non-current software from. I remember there being a site that listed every firmware update for every iOS device but I can't find it and I never bookmarked it.
I now have the Bold 9900. Really nice phone. Easy to scroll through etc.But what's bugged me is that the ringtones on the 8520 are not on the 9900.... so if you have gotten use to them, you can no longer have them.Has anyone here got the ability to either send me a link to download the following two ringtones, or have the means to take them from their phone and upload them to here.... if that's permitted?
