I now have the Bold 9900. Really nice phone. Easy to scroll through etc.But what's bugged me is that the ringtones on the 8520 are not on the 9900.... so if you have gotten use to them, you can no longer have them.Has anyone here got the ability to either send me a link to download the following two ringtones, or have the means to take them from their phone and upload them to here.... if that's permitted?

Ever since I updated to OS 7.1 on my Bold 9790 any SMS older than 1 month are getting deleted automatically. This is despite the SMS validity period set to "Max". How can I stop this?

View 14 Replies View RelatedWhilst on a call this morning my phone randomly called Orange answer phone and put my original call on hold, I cancelled the answer phone call and went back to original then within the next minute the original call went quiet and I heard the ringing tone and discovered it was randomly calling a number (it was not a saved contact and I had to go through history later to see where it had come from and found it was a call I had received last Saturday - so not even a call in recent history) I have no speed dials set up - I did double check this! When prompted I did the latest upgrade last week to v7.1 bundle 1149(v7.1.0.342 - platform 5.1.0.276) and was pleased was prompted to do this as it included the update to wifi calling which I need in certain areas though I didn't have it enabled today.

I've been trying (unsuccessfully) for the past 5 hours to resolve a custom ringtone issue with my 9700 and it is driving me crazy!I have custom ringtones set for some of my contacts for calls and messages and they were all working perfectly. Then today, I received a text message from one of my contacts and noticed the tone was the from the default profile. I checked the contact setting and the custom ringtone was the same, but whenever messages from the contacts came in, it was using the default profile. Whenever I get calls from the contact, the custom ringtone works, but all of a sudden it just stopped working for messages. Then I realized this situation is the same for ALL contacts that I had a custom ringtone for. I am completely baffled. I've probably done about 100 battery pulls.

Is there a way to do it on Outlook so I can do it easier than on my little BB? I typically only use BBM when I travel South.Is it possible that BBM 5.0 uses more data than the previous versions? Could the addition of the profile pictures, and other added functionality have increased the data requirements?
An average day of BBM usage for me would be around 100kb previously, now it seems to be just under 200kb. The cost difference is negligible, but it got me thinking about the efficiently of 5.0
I recently updated to ios 5.1, and after about 10-40 seconds after unlocking my phone it stops to see my finger touches. the buttons work but not the touch screen. and this also hapens sometimes when I go to unlock the screen. so I have to lock the screen and try to unlock it to use the phone for about 30 seconds and then have it do the same thing making me lock it and unlock it again. I'm starting to think it is the ios 5.1 not liking my phone. I have a 3gs 16 gig. My screen was cracked and I had it replaced along with the digitizer, and when I got it back I did a restore and thats when it added the ios 5.1. So I was wondering if I can go back to an older ios and how to do that.

I updated my phone's fw to find out there's no Maps for it at the Nokia web site. When trying to start the app, it prompts me to update itself which seems to be impossible. Is there any way to delete the maps icon? I don't want to have it around if it is useless.Or, is there an older installer that my phone accepts, somewhere to be downloaded?
