Xperia Z2 :: Phone Won't Install APKs

I'm having another issue with my z2 which randomly happens and causes annoyance.
If it try to install an apk (I have untrusted sources enabled) the apks install screen appears and at the bottom you have the usual cancel or install buttons.
For some reason I can always press cancel but if I press install sometimes nothing happens it's as if the system doesn't pick up on the press, i've cleaned the screen and use the phone on a daily basis as I'm writing this for instance I'm pressing exactly were the install button appears and I have no issues so I don't think it's the screen.

My friend just bought XPEIRA Z2. was able to instal apk's before, now suddenly can't install. Whenever he tries to install, he's unable to click "INSTALL"
Don't have SCREEN FILTER APPS. I've told him to enable unknown resources or uninstall ANTIVIRUS apps, still can't fix it...

Just got my Gold nexus 6p yesterday and i cant install apks that are not from the play store and even if i try to send them via bluetooth it doesn't work. I'm bootloader unlocked, twrp installed, rooted (systemless root) and decrypted and also "unknown sources" is turned on in settings. I cant install some app cos of this.

how do i take backup of all installed apks on my xperia pro? using apks?my phone is not rooted. that means when i reset myphone or update my phone all apks are again reinstall on my pro? thats why is any application to backup& restore phone with installed apks and its settings?

So, T-mo finally released Lollipop last night. I've downloaded via Wifi this morning and attempted to update. The update failed with no reason given. My phone is encrypted and it didn't ask to unencrypt before applying the update, so I assume this is the reason it failed. So, installed the latest PC Companion on my Windows 7 laptop, it tells me that I'm on the latest version (connected via USB)... so... what now?

I'm using Android 2.1 for Xperia X8.Everytime I install an app from the Official Android Market or from Applanet, it goes to the phone memory which is easy to fill up, unlike my sd card which has a lot of free space.I would like to install the apps in the sd card, if that's possible.

I can see that there is a new update for my Xperia Neo but when it gets to the second stage (preparing my phone to update), it says it is 'unable to install or start phone software update components'. Anyone have any idea how I can update my phone or why it won't let me update it now???

When i try to ugrade my phone software i get the error message "Unable to install or start phone software update conponents" . i restarted phone, pc suite, reinstalled, but my phone is not getting upgraded. pc suit says latest upgrades are available. Even if i go for repair phone same option comes.
Hestory : last night i tried to upgrade my phone using Sony Update service. it ran upgrade and everything was new. all previously installed softwares are gone.
Symptoms: it shows android 2.3.4 version on phone but in PC suit while, upgrade using pc suite it says vrsion 4 .a .XXX , and upgrading to 4.b.XXX ... then it proceeds and fails with error "Unable to install or start phone software update conponents" .

Unable to install or start phone software update components''I have the X10 mini and I'm trying to update the software on it. I've downloaded the PC companion, and the error shows up at the 2.Prepare stage of the update.
I have rebooted my computer and the phone too, and that error message still pops up every time I try to update.

I received notification that a system update is available for 4.0.2.A.0.42 and that this update can only be done with PC Companion. I followed every instruction but I had to abort the process when PC Companion prompted me to discontinue due to low battery conditions. I charged my battery. I connected phone and continued process. In step two - prepare - I get the error message: Installation Error: unable to install or start phone software update components. I tried several times but I still get the same error. I restarted my computer and my phone numerous times and still the same error is popping up.

I got my neo phone back from service center with latest software update. Now I need to re install all apps and I don't have wifi facility. But I have bunch of apks on my SD card which is in phone. Even to browse, I need to install some app like astro file manger but there is no wifi I can't access android market. I have astro file manger on my sd card. How can I browse and install apks from my neo? If some how I can install astro from my sd card then I can browse other apks and install easily.

My daughter forgot her password (repeatedly) and the handset has now been wiped. It's a Curve 8520 and I've looked on-line for a way to re-install but it's not working. I've downloaded the BB desktop software and the OS but when I plugged the handset in via USB it's not recognised by anything. Is there anyway to do anything to it at home or will I have to 'bite the bullet' and take it somewhere to be repaired? Also if so where would I take it?

I just got my HTC One M8 yesterday and had problems installing the HTC sync manager software, but eventually it worked and I was able to put some music on my phone. Anytime I try to connect to Sync Manager since, it loads my music and says "phone connected (loading data...)". This screen will last for at least twenty minutes until I run out of patience and quit the program.

Would you recommend I follow this process? Furthermore I have a question about the stock android which would be installed. Is this considered the 'official' version of Android? I.e. will I be getting updates as soon as they roll out, similar to how it works on say a Nexus device? Or will I need to reinstall the whole OS everytime I need to update the OS?
I never used Android before this, having used BB and WP before this. Also, will the functionality on my phone remain the same? For example will the camera still make use of the laser autofocus? What functionality would be lost if I install stock? Would they be specific software features such as QMemo and knock code for example?
