Xperia Pro/Neo/V/L :: Un-rooted Then Upgrade To ICS?
Jan 7, 2012I am contemplating in unrooting my phone so I can use the avast android version in full. However, I am wondering that if the ICS comes, will the phone stay unrooted?
OR, do we have any other app that works like avast yet needs no rooting?

It doesn't respond to power button, you can hold power button as long as want and no vibrate or red led blink. I tried to repair via update service, but it can't find my phone... Dec 22, 2012i decided to root my XPeria play and i didn't know what would be the outcome of it. Since im use to iOS i though it would install something similiar to Cydia. Well, it didn't and i checked if it had any updates and there was. So it did all of its download process and installing but it told me in the end ''Error: Update Failed''. and so i tried PC Companion and that didn't work either. So im in need of removing the ROOT out of my phone and installing a new software update on it. Currently, im on version 2.3.3.

Oct 26, 2012My phone doesn't boot up. This has been happening since the last 2 days. The first time it happened, i used Update Service and updated the firmware to the new 4.1.B.0.587. The phone restarted normally after the update but the phone was very laggy. And after sometime, the same issue popped up. The phone would start up to the black screen. Again I used Update Service to do a factory reset and reinstall the new firmware. Formatted the memory card too. Again this issue is there.
I called up Sony Customer Care. They asked me to use PC Companion and repair the phone software. I did that too. Still no luck..

Dec 17, 2012i have some questions to aski'm a possessor of an xperia mini st15i (italian version i think)i rooted the stock .587 ics, installed via xparts a sort of clockworkmod emulation (cause it's on system partition i think) and flashed phone with real ics 4 for locked bootloader based on stock .462 i did this following some howtos in this forum and whitout unlocking bootloader.now i would like to unlock that bootloader, install native clockworkmod and the android official version from google, possibly gingerbreadcause speed issues on ics, here are the questions can i proceed following normal howtos ignoring what i did to my phone?are there any guide to read?do exist some ics based rom for locked bootloader that gives an evident increase of performance?

Google Nexus 6 :: How To Get OTA Updates While Rooted
Sep 16, 2015I rooted my N6 and have TWRP installed. A beautiful combination, however, recently I have been getting upgrades from Google for the phone which will not install. The upgrade has the phone reboot into recovery mode, which is TWRP and then it simply does not take place.
I did not want to put on a custom ROM, I simply wanted to get two apps running and for that, I had to be rooted.
How I do the upgrades now? I used the WUG kit to even put the phone back to stock and remove TWRP but then when it went to do the upgrade it went to the recovery screen and showed an error when it tried to upgrade. I am not sure if my bootloader was locked or not, maybe that was the culprit.
I'd like to leave the phone rooted with TWRP but still do the upgrades?? How??

Nov 13, 2015I recently unlocked the bootloader and rooted my Nexus 6P and just this evening received an update for the November Security Update. This downloads fine but when the phone reboots to install, it just goes to TWRP and doesn't install.
This is most likely incredibly simple and stupid for me even to ask, but is it possible to install one I've unlocked/rooted?
