Oct 8, 2010My new mini pro wi-fi will not stay connected. I have made sure the WEP key is correct, and the signal is strong throughout the house. No probs with the 3 laptops we use. Even sitting with the livebox on my lap the phone connects and disconnects a few seconds later. This means I am using the 2+3G connection at home.....using valuable 'Fair Use' megs up.

Dec 15, 2010the querty keyboard backlight on my x10 mini pro keeps turning off in the dark or bad light. I can manage to keep the backlight on, while I am trying to type without it cutting out after about 2 seconds. Sometimes it won't even turn back on even after pressing a key.

I'm getting a message on my phone saying there is a new software update available(4.0.2.A.0.58). Before I update my phone to the latest firmware, I'd like to get some things cleared up.
1) If I update my phone from 2.3.3 to 4.0.2.A.0.58, the applications which are currently installed will stay?
2) Are there any known bugs in the latest version(4.0.2.A.0.58)?
3) After updating, If I find something unusual, is it possible to revert back to 2.3.3?

Feb 20, 2012I am using Xperia Mini Pro nd had updated my phn till version 4.0.2.A.0.58 via phone only but this time the new version 4.0.2.A.0.62 can not be updated directly via phone its says to use PC COMPANION, while using PC COMPANION and selcting the update process its prompting to stop WINIT process to start downloading the update.

Dec 3, 2010a few days ago I bought my SE X10 mini pro.I now have a problem with my battery. A few hours ago, my battery level was around 35%
A few hours later, it remained at 35% indication.Since this couldn't be correct, i restarted the phone. Now, my battery indication was 100%. False again.I turned the phone off. It wouldn't restart.I tried the 'flash device method' by holding back button and putting in computer USB. No help.I tried SEUS. After that, phone switched back on, with false battery indication back to 100%, which is impossible.I noticed that during all this 'fun stuff', my battery refuses to charge. The LED indicator remains green without flashing, the settings screen doesnt say 'charging'. I know that the phone won't charge below 95% battery.So, the phone thinks the battery is 100%, therefore won't charge, and I'm pretty screwed, especially since I fear that once my battery drops dead, the phone won't be able to charge ever since it will think its 100% full...

A friend suggested that it may just need updating, which made sense because I'd been getting update notifications, just hadn't got round to hooking my ohone up to my laptop. So I did just that and installed the 'companion' but when I try to update, it's asking me to insert a memory card. I've never taken it out! Not once. Nov 10, 2010Just wanted to share my experience. I did the update on November 8. I didn't bother to do the backup. The only real important is the contacts and Google have them already. I used the Update Service tool and it worked like a charm. After restarting the phone I had to go through the setup wizard, which by the way is much improved. I now realized that I had lost all my downloaded applications. I downloaded them again from market. Most of them had all the old data, nice. Some games lost all history, no big deal really. My contacts, mail and calendar was downloaded from Google.
I realy like the fact that it is possible to send contacts by SMS. The images from facebook also works very well.
The one thing that I am still not used to is the unlooking. The habbit of pressing the menu button twice is had to kick. I think the new way with the slider is somewhat safer.Now I am waiting 2.2 with tethering. I hope this will be available for X10 mini some time in the future.

1 select sd card in settings on the X10 then select unmount sd card.2 take out the card with the phone still switched on since I can't remove the battery there is no obvious way to depower it
3 put card in my pc's card reader and copy its contents to a folder on the pc (using copy and paste?), I have seen some mention of hidden files - is there any trick here?
4 put the new sd card in the pc and copy the stored contents onto it
5 put the card into the X10
6 what now - how do I get the x10 to accept the new card?

Aug 20, 2011I'm just got an Xperia X10 mini pro, and I have a probably dumb question on how to use it: I can't seem to dial anything once I'm in a call
If I am calling a customer service line, or my voicemail, I need to enter keypad entries. However once the call begins there is nothing I can do to be able to press anything, unless I pop the keyboard out and back in again. I understand there is a proximity sensor but head isn't that big. Am I doing something wrong? I just updated the OS to the latest version of Android 2.1

Jun 29, 2012I just upgraded my mini pro to ICS, it works fine in the first few moments until I realized that my phone can't:
1. Show any album art/cover from the music player. I've tried using the Sony Media Go to add the album arts to the file properties, still it didn't work. Only the 'default' songs from the product i.e brett5000: Globalization, missquerada: Far from love, and 2 others, can display their album cover
2. Update songs. Any new songs that I put into my phone through Sony Media Go aren't shown in the music player, only the old ones are present (though I've deleted it). I found the files when I opened it using a file manager program from the Play Store, but when I played it, none of its properties are present except the title of the song itself. It's not even present in the music player

Jul 28, 2010my blackberry was dropped in the water, and i did everything i could do to dry it, and now the LED will stay on then off and again on then off, meaning that it flashes but with a long sequence.
so i know that i should try installing a new OS, which I did. but it comes to the point (waiting for initialization) and the phone should boot up, but all it does is that it flashes the LED with the same sequence again as if i did nothing

Jun 24, 2011I've had my BB Torch for about 3-4 months. Today I came home and was talking on the phone. Everything seemed ok. Then I tried making a phone call and it kept hanging up. Was able to finally make the call. Then the battery went on red and asked to be recharged. I plugged it in. It turned itself off while lights on the green and red buttons on the front of the phone were flickering. Still doing it every time it reboots. It's not turning on. Took the battery out. Rebooted a few times and it turned itself off again. It says to stop turning it off to press any key, but it's not working. Then it stayed on for a couple of seconds and it said that it's in safe mode. Tried to press the reset option, but it turned itself off again. Took the battery out again for 5 minutes. Put it back in. It rebooted. Stayed on for a couple of minutes. Tried to update the software, but it turned itself off again. Still not turning back on. It was really hot outside today and I was sweating. Figured that maybe it got wet, but I looked at it and nothing looks to be damaged.
