I am unable to download or update android to v2.1. After i installed the PC Companion, it does not prompt me anything about the update of android 2.1. I dun think my x10 mini is still android 2.1.
Also, anyone knows how to move applications from phone to memory card?
After multiple tries of trying to update Android for my Xperia X10 mini pro phone via the PC Companion as well as the downloaded Update Service (after reading similar threads) i am still at a loss! I am in Mumbai using an Airtel SIM.
In the case of the PC Companion, it goes smoothly until the Prepare step (where no Previous & Next buttons appear). After "preparing" the phone nothing happens. I tried pressing Enter & then it goes onto the Update panel. But here the Download status bar is just mpty & doesnt download anything.
With the Update Service, it runs fine till the Connect step. After following the instructions once again nothing happens. Here there is only a Previous button & no Next button. Pressing Enter takes you to the Previous panel.
In both cases I have seen no message appear on the phone at all & no sign of anything being recognized on either of the softwares.

And donīt even try to propose to switch off antivirus and firewall, because Iīve tried that also. And no, I have not got another PC to test it. Instead, you should try to do software like we are used to in 21st century.I really have to restrain myself from using more appropriate language for your utter software engineering disability. Here's were i need help, On using the Pc companion, after updatin the Pc companion, I tried to connect to get my Phone update but It tells me it needs to connect to the internet to be able to do this, But I'm already connected to the net.
I know my Pc companion is ment to tell me automatically that there is an update for my phone available since my phone gets the message while i use it but the Pc companion doesnt.
I have PC Companion installed and the and update service installed. When following the instructions, I get to the download bit and it starts and then just stops. An error message then comes up saying that there was problems with the internet (despite me being on broadband) and using the internet at the same time. Firewalls are all ok and all working. Battery life is 77%.

When i press download, i get a message that the X10 mini pro is now downloading the program.... and that is about it.. nothing else happens and im not getting any program.. not even a sign that its downloading.
If i go to the same program in the app-store, that i earlier pressed download, it is saying that it is already starting the download..
I am having trouble downloading from Android market on my Xperia X10 mini pro. I have updated the software from 1.6 to 2.1, I have tried signing out of google talk, removing the market updates and clearing the market cache and have now done a factory reset and I still can't download from the market. Any apps I have tried to download are showing on the market on my computer as being downloaded. My husband has the same phone running the same software and has no problems downloading from the market.

I basically got ride of a code reader, some stupid games, and a bunch of "trial version" applications.I just noticed now that I can't download apps from the Android Market anymore, and this is probably what caused it. Everything else on my phone still works perfectly.
When I try to download an app from the Android Market, I select the app to be downloaded, press "Install", then press "OK" when it gives me the list of what the app has access to.Once I press "OK" a popup appears that says "Your Item Will be Downloaded". That's it. Nothing appears in the notification bar, and the download doesn't go at all.

Today i try to update my phone apps and try to download new apps on Android market over the HSDPA connection (3G). If i click Update All or single app update button or new apps Download buttons nothing happen only display "Downloading" progress bar, then i wait more than 30 minutes so not download and update. So i clear caches and data on Android market apps, download agent and restart phone and again try. But still i face this issue. Just works very slow.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got a Mini Pro and the operator is T-Mobile. T-Mobile only approved the update yesterday so I went to update it via PCC after updating PCC and Backup And Restore. Before I started updating, I backed it up. Now I started the updating process and I was on step 2. It asks me to remove the USB cable from the phone and turn it off. Then insert the cable back in WHILE holding the Back key. When I do this, nothing happens except PCC tells me that they can sense a Sony Ericsson phone. I've tried doing it more than 5 times and it's the same thing over again. I've turned my MMS & data off and Data roaming On if that makes any difference at all.
