I am using the SE Xperia X10. Obviously I wish to connect with my wireless network at home.
My home wireless network is run by an Airport Express (made by Apple) and currently runs 802.11n only (5ghz) setting, which allows for the fastest transmission of data over my network.
This setting, while ideal for my lovely family of Macs, does not allow my phone to connect.
My question is: what mods/hacks/apps/etc are there out there that would enable my phone to access an N Wireless network? Or, is this all moot as this phone is not even N capable? I have not been able to find a similar thread elsewhere discussing this issue.
Another thought, has anyone had success with an App that synchs the Xperia X10 with Mac OSX, specifically Address Book and Calendar.
I just picked up a MiFi 4G device and I carry it at all times. However since it has a cap on data per month I want it to be secondary to several other unlimited WiFi networks such as my office WiFi, home WiFi, free WiFi hotspots, etc. Is there any work around to make the MiFi wireless (or any permanent wireless network) 2nd to all other recognized networks? This is the ideal set-up for my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 WiFi. I don't want to have to turn the MiFi on and off constantly, I want it on in the background as a seamless secondary option. I appreciate any insight and find it odd that you cannot prioritize networks. Meaning if I "forgot this network" and start over will the 1st joined or most recent joined become primary when there are multiple networks available?
My xperia x10 phone had been working just fine when i connect wireless connections at the airport, libraries n elsewhere. But now I'm having some weird problem where my phone is connected to the wireless but it just won't let me surf the internet or just simpy open my twitter.
I've checked: 1. Amount of bar for the connection: just doing fine, at least it says good connection. 2. My mobile networks: in network mode>> WCDMA only, which I have several time open my internet browser without any fail until now.
Does any know how to connect X10 WiFi with Adhoc Wireless network?!?! Is there a way to connect without rooting X10 and editing file wpa_supplicant.conf under /data/misc/wifi?
I have rooted my x10 (which is upgraded to 2.1 firmware) through z4root software but I am unable to edit wpa_supplicant.conf file?
I have a problem when i try to connect my z5 compact to pc companion using wifi. it said " can not connect to pc companion using wifi " when i try pairing my old xperia ZL it works without any problem. and then i noticed that there is no option for wireless media transfer in connectivity menu.

My sony experia mini will not connect to wireless networks. It says it is unable to scan and then wireless turns off automatically. A lot of the time it is unable to connect to 3G either.
I just update my X10 mini pro today. But after that, my phone cannot connect to my home wireless.I already off and on.but still the same thing happen. it said...scanning..connecting...disconnected!
how to connect to PC using sony errison X8 wireless? I have tried to download the "Tether" from Marker, PDAnet, easytether, and follow the step given at forum, but still same.
I'm probably moving to central Florida in the next few month from the UK. I have an iPhone 4 and my Wife has my old 3GS, she currently uses pay as you go with the cellular data turned off on the phone and I have a £35 per month 600mins unlimited data o2 plan.
Both phones are legitimately unlocked.
Anyone know what the best tariffs / carriers are and what my options will be?
I was also wondering if it would be best to sell the unlocked 3GS once we get to the states and get her a 4 as (I believe) officially unlocked iPhones are hard to come by in the US and it might be worth enough that we'd get enough money to get her a locked 4.
Just looking for advise so any would be appreciated.
Whenever I press the home button to open my iPhone I notice it will still say 3G and within a few seconds change to the wifi icon. Am I mistaken that wifi should stay running even when the phone is closed?
i have a bold 9700 running version 6 - At work i have outlook (it is not a stand alone pc, it is on a network with a server) - i have no problem syncing via a cable but i want to be able to sync wirelessly so any changes i make on outlook calendar or contacts automatically appear on my BB bold and vice versa, no wires.
It seems that the only Wireless Charging option available for my AT&T version of the LG G3 is the OEM Quick Circle Case and the only mat that will work is the Duracell Powermat? All the QI charging options whether they are actual back cover replacements or just the receiver stickers by themselves they all say not compatible for AT&T model. I have the aforementioned Quick Circle case and Powermat combo which works great but I want to be able to use some of my other cases as well and charge wirelessly..
Just got a Wireless Qi sticker from a china site. However, it doesn't seem to work.
1) Testing this on a Samsung Wireless Charger (the flat disc) and it doesn't work. My wife's Galaxy S6 works perfectly though. 2) NFC on the LG G4 works perfectly though.
My Mac does but the phone won't. It recognizes the network but won't load a page. I've tried resetting the phone and the router and 'forgetting' the connection on the phone.
Perplexing problem I am having. My co-worker can get our hidden wireless signal in our room but I can't. I can see an open AP but can't see the one I want. It is WPA encrypted with the SSID xmit turned off. That shouldnt make any difference, especially since the other guy added the AP to his Droid with no issues at all. Is there a wireless card test to see if my wireless is working fine? I should also mention that I have to manually create the AP in my wireless list. When I am in the direct vicinity of this AP, it shows up in the list as WPA protected - Not in Range.
I have downloaded the WiFi Analyzer app and it does not show the AP I created, but does show an open one in the area...ot sure what is going on here. I can connect to my WPA wireless at home...Update: I just checked to see if my home wireless network will connect to the Droid yet and it does not. The 2 similarities between work and home are that both are B&G wireless units with both xmitting both B & G signals. I am able to pick up the wireless from the city water tower which is encrypted so I am not sure what exactly is going on. DOes anyone know if version 2.2 of android doesnt like a B/G router with both signals on?
I just got my Droid Razr yesterday. I was able to connect it to my PC (windows XP) via USB and transfer some songs. But I cannot set up Motocast wireless, however. Every time I try, it checks for a wireless connection, then goes to a set up Motocast wireless screen. It sits there for a couple of seconds, then the programs just exits.
I have read through the forum, and based on some other recommendations I saw there, I unistalled Java, and went to java.com and downloaded the latest version. I have disabled my Windows Firewall, and stopped Real Time Protection on my Microsoft Security Essentials. I also unistalled the Motocast program, which had first loaded from my phone, and downloaded Motocast from [URL]
