I'm currently using 2.1 version, even though I've installed voice data under Text to Speech settings, but dont know how to use it? By enabling the feature I came to know that we can voice a message, make a call and do many things with this feature, but unfortunately I dont know how to proceed.
I am trying to switch TTS on for reading out notifications but can only do so for SMS through Xperia Connect app. Is there any other way to activate TTS for other actions such as when receiving an incoming call - reading out the callers number or name if in the contacts list?
the download seemed to work as did the text (one of my spoken sentences appeared on the screen) but I have no idea how to access the facility now. Speech works on google and google maps.
use this functionality in my X10 mini.I have installed handscent sms and find that I cannot use the speech to text function--says "recogniser not present". Is there something to be downloaded for this to work?
I have the X10 mini how to get the speech to text apps to work? I have the speech to text app and when I open it it recognises what I says but only puts text in its own software, how do I use it for text messages etc.
Is there a way to turn the text-to-speech options on only for caller ID and text messaging? I don't want the phone to tell me every button I push or screen menu that I'm on. I want it only to read me texts and say who the call is from before ringing.
Droid Razr 16, google speech app - when using speech app to dictate text mesage, and more than one sent to same person in short period of time (5-10 minutes), the first text message is resent rather than the second text message which has been dictated and appears in the confirmation/edit window. Verizon Wireless tech support was stumped, and no help in the online motorola tech support either.
I just got the LG G3 about 2 months ago. For the first 6-7 weeks all was good and normal. About a week ago, I went to "speak" a text msg like I've been doing up until then where the microphone icon has gone missing. I'm sure as I was playing with setting, along the line I must have done something I shouldn't have taking away my microphone icon. I've tried a few things but can't seem to get it back. Seems that the area I need to get to, to turn it on, is grayed out. I've attached a few pics.
How do I install speech to text on iphone4? I don't have the microphone icon on my keypad, and thus can't do speech to text. I am up to date on my software. Is there a setting I can change?
Why does my LG G3 read my texts aloud even though Text-to-Speech is turned off? I can't seem to figure out how to turn it off on the ai.type Galaxy keyboard, and every time I type a word it reads it out loud.
I can not scroll down to turn of the speech to text. How can I turn it off when I can not scroll down the menu in general setting. It seem everything is locked.
There is only one Language/voice file available in my Nokia E7. I want to have a female voice and there is no download available for E7 (on download language and voide webpage).
The pre-installed Text-to-speech language is English (UK), and when I was first testing the phone, there were two Voice options, "Ellen" and "Martin", both listed as "built-in". Today, upon trying this feature again, only "Ellen" was present. I do not believe that I have accidentally deleted "Martin". I have, however, updated the phone software using PC Suite (to 071.003). I have tried installing the downloadable voice file, but receive an "Update error" when I do. I am able successfully to install other language packages and their associated voices. This would suggest that the "Martin" built-in voice is still present. Is there a way to recover it (restoring factory settings does not solve the problem;
Can the I9100 read out the contents of a text message when in driving mode. Mine will read out the senders number but not the contents of the message. Am I missing something easy to fix/change?
The motospeak speech ro text app on bionic for tbe most part works great and a lot of features including it reads the incoming text to you bluetooth or speaker pbone it is completely hands free. The huge downfall it is a massive data consumer and with all tbe carriers increasing data charges you almost have to freeze it when not in use because permissions granted give it full access.
I have my (stock) phone app set up to announce an incoming caller's name (if a contact) or phone number (if not). Lately (ever since the update to .83 I think, but I can't be 100% sure) this has gone weird on me, announcing "Call from <caller's name or number>...head north...head north...." Because I always do what my phone tells me to I am now seriously considering moving to Canada. It's an inconsequential problem at worst, but I just thought I'd report it here. It is always the same: two repetitions of "head north." Note that Navigation is not loaded or running when this occurs (according to both "Manage Applications" under Settings, and also Task Manager), and GPS is not on. Clearly, something in text-to-speech is corrupted. [Edit:] The problem continues to occur after reboot.
Ever since the 905 update, my phone keeps trying to activate "text-to-speech"whenever I receive a text message while the messaging application is open. Is this happening to anyone else? How can I disable this feature as I don't want to use it and it's very disruptive at times? I've looked in the phone's main settings and in the messaging app's settings, and I can't find anything!
I have an iPhone 5s and my husband has an iPhone 4. We have the same iOS (7.1.1) and use the built in Messages app to send text messages. When I add an emoticon such as the smiling face with heart shaped eyes, my husband gets only an empty speech bubble. Â
I am choosing emoticons from the little world shaped icon beside my microphone, and if I choose the first emoticon - the regular smiling face, he gets that, but most of the others result in the empty speech balloon. Â
He can send me emoticons such as the smiling face with heart shaped eyes, and I receive the text just fine. Why his phone will not receive those texts?Â
I have been trying to explore these options as it is said that it works either ways. But not sure how to get it..The text to speech settings has " Install voice data" grayed out. Should I use a third party app to enable these options? But my understanding is Defy has this enabled and its a built in app....
