I've just updated to 2.1 and have got a few queries if anyone can help.
1- When the phones locked in the top left corner threes a message saying belongs to does anyone know how/where to access it to put name on???
2-How to delete pre-instated apps that I don't need or want, was able to delete previously but can't appear to after update.
How can i delete the default apps( which i got with phones) .
View 3 Replies View RelatedAs the subject indicates I am looking to delete some of the pre-installed applications on my Z3. I have had the phone for a while however, the frequency of the updates, the way in which Sony has pre-determined which apps I want to use is now very irritating.
I have my own apps installed, ones I trust and know and would like to remove, permanently, those I deem unrequired. Is there a way of deleting these applications, which currently are locked or am I forced into rooting the phone first, thereby probably invalidating the warranty.
I have had some problems with memory cards, but I am now left with about 20 blue squares with a picture of a memory card in the corner, but it won't let me delete them... How I can get rid?

Later I saw that the app's I moved cannot be opened or even deleted and when I reinstall them again they don't even show up. I have attached a screenshot also.
I've got the Xperia Neo V and it has been showing the new system update notification since I bought it (which is 3 days ago btw), and I was wondering since it's the first time I'm dealing with an Android Phone, will my Apps/App Settings get erased if I update my system?If so is there any way to make any sort of backup or something?

Me and my brother were using two different iphones (mine 4 and his 4S) using same ID. now i have my new macbook pro and want to have my own ID which i created. problem is when i am trying to sync my iphone with my mcpro, it is just not happening. cant delete old apps or add new ones. I cannot delete apps off my iphone 4S. I press and hold the icon, it wiggles, I press the X and the X highlights but then my screen freezes and I have to press and hold the lock key to go to my lock screen. It doesnt matter what app I try it with-- the app is still there. My restrictions are all off.

Ive noticed this for a while on my iphone 4 (IOS 5.1) that it takes about 20 - 30 seconds from when i click on the shaking x to actually get the prompt come up saying are you sure you want to delete this app. Ive got plenty of space left on the iphone (about 1.7GB) so im a little bit confused on why its so slow to delete any app.

when i click the X to delete an app, the iphone freezes. nothing works. home screen, swipe, nothing.if i wait almost a minute or so, it goes black, thinks, then locks the phone. i unlock by swiping and everything is normal. but the app still wasn't deleted. doesn't matter what app. can't delete any of them.

Had trouble uninstalling Nobex Radio Companion it required restart of phone to complete uninstall which i did but on restart phone would not start.Removed/refitted battery and started ok but i now have 3 new apps which i cant delete - virgin music sync,bubblebash2,and gameloft which i did not download and if i press menu for each item there is no option to delete/uninstall.When i connected phone to computer and checked with desktop software the apps dont show up.
