i want to unlock Sony Ericson xperia pro (mk16i) to install custom roms But i m worried about warranty issue...Is relocking boot loader of my device Mk16i recovers warranty?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSometimes I unlock my phone and the screen remains black, then the phone reboots but weirdly it doesn't ask for the SIM pin number. Other times I notice the phone reboots by itself and I notice it because obviously the screen lights up during the boot animation. This happens very rarely, so far it has happened about 3 to 5 times in a couple of months but it's still mega annoying when it happens.
And don't tell me to factory reset, I already did that less than a month ago and it happened anyway. Factory resetting is just a huge waste of time 99% of the time especially if you are not rooted.
I have a question regarding the unlocking boatloader effects on the Xperia Z2 devices...
1- Does unlocking the bootloader void my phone warranty ?
2- does unlocking boatloader will stop functionalities like X-Reality and Boinz Processing engine as were in the Xperia Z1 ?
3- what other functionality i will lose if i unlocked my bootloader device ?
i need this info in order to share it with the XDA Xperia Z2 forums as they still confused regarding the above questions .
usually when I unlock the screen I use the numeric keys to unlock. On some occasions there is a swipe bar from left to right at the bottom of the screen.I do not know why this happens as I have not changed any settings.Having said that I cannot find any settings which refer to this.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI been looking into unlocking my bootloader on my z3 (so i can get updates quicker), however on different threads I keep reading that DRM apps such track id or remote play will not function, is this true?
The main reason I brought my z3 (over an Iphone/samsung s6) was due to remote play.
It is possible to unlock the boot loader for certain releases of Sony Ericsson Android™ phone models from 2011 and onwards.
Please note that you may void the warranty of your phone if you unlock the boot loader. Sony Ericsson can then no longer guarantee the full functionality of your phone, and will not be responsible for any unsigned custom software being flashed to the phone after the boot loader is unlocked. Certain functions in your phone might cease to work, and performance might not be ideal. You might also damage your phone permanently. In the worst case, unlocking the boot loader will cause physical injuries or material damage, for example, due to the phone overheating.Certain content on your phone may also be inaccessible due to the removal of DRM security keys and the secure user data partition while unlocking the boot loader. Therefore, you should only unlock the boot loader of your phone if you are an advanced user with good knowledge of the technology and risks involved. We strongly recommend that standard users NOT unlock the boot loader, as it is not needed.
I been using my Moto x Pure for over a month now, but recently I've become painfully aware to a subtle stuttering or popping that occurs frequently during playback. It almost sounds like a glitch in the file, but I know this not to be true. This is during local playback from both an SD and internal memory, via a wired headset.
Some things I've tried:
-Various players (poweramp, doubletwist, etc)
-increasing SD cache
-monitoring ram
-cleaning audio jack
-different headphones
-various audio formats
-messing with poweramp settings
-factory reset

View 1 Replies View Relatedconfirm if my phone would 'brick' or not if I used official Sony software to repair...I used the online service Da Vinci to unlock my bootloader...so if I use SEUS or PC Companion now...will it brick? How do I relock bootloader safely if I need to repair via SEUS? Would it be better for me to relock the bootloader then unlock properly via Sony? I did pay for the Da Vinci service, so I'm not in a rush to make a mistake! I'm planning ahead for the ICS update and just in case I want to reverse to 2.3.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter unlocking the phone from stand-by the brightness is noticeable lower than the one I set, without adaptive brightness on, and after a short period of time, usually under 30 sec, the brightness goes up to the level I set it, and stays like that as long as the display is on. This problem repeats randomly, but very often, maybe 80% of the cases. The difference in display brightness when this happens is probably 10% - 15% and is very annoying. I already did a factory reset and a fresh install via PC Companion with no results. The phone is 2 months old, no major software update until now so I can't tell if it's a software or hardware problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been reading a lot about the Neo V and I am thinking about buying one but I have just found out something really disturbing: you cannot disable the light sensor. The auto brightness feature works in a way that is undesirable to most people because the screen is too dim when in a dark room or viewing a dark video. (I looked at a friend's Xperia Play, which I think has this same "feature"... it was so dim in a darker room that it was really unpleasant to use - is it the same with Neo V?)
I have read that the only possible way to get around this is root your phone and install an application that disables the light sensor.
Of course I do not want to root the phone because I do not want to risk my warranty. But this auto brightness feature bothers me so much that I might just not buy the phone at all because it would be really annoying to have this nice phone, but with a dark, dim screen. I know, it saves battery life, but what's the point of having a nice display with a dim screen.
Has this changed at all with the ICS update?
Why on earth does my phone have to tell me practically every time I bring it out of sleep that I'm low on memory transfer SD. I know I know!, I have nearly 2gig of space left on my internal memory, I could understand it if was only 200mb, if I can't fill up that last two gig without getting such harrasmemt from my phone then why even state that the phone has 16gig internal ram if use 2gig of it?
