Xperia Pro/Neo/V/L :: Turn Off The Shutter Sound In Hong Kong?
Jun 7, 2012
There are only 3 options sound 1 2 and 3. However, I want it to off. It is so annoying that the shutter sound is so loud that everyone will look at me when I take pictures.
That is unfair that the phones selled in telecom company can turn off the shutter sound but others can't. At least the volume can be down. It is too annoying and emberssing. I am pretty sure that iPhone can turn it off! Hence, I believe there are no policies to force the shutter sound to be so loud!
I have an Xperia Active ST17i, android versions 4.0.4, and ever since I bought it I'm trying to find a way to turn off the sound but now luck. I have no option in my camera application. I read on different forums that I need to modify my build.prop file. Can't do that since I can't root my phone. I found the file, I found the line that I need to modify, but can't touch it ofc. I tried factory reset, in the hopes that it would put the camera sound from 1 to 0, but still no luck. I tried to put the phone on silet. Every application is silent, expet for the freakin` camera!!
So how the heck do I turn off that freakin` sound?
I've seen numerous websites detailing how to turn off the shutter sound but none the other way around. My camera does not make any sounds when I take a picture and there is no toggle in the settings to turn it back on. I haven't downloaded any app to turn off the sound either. I know the sound exists because when I take a screenshot it makes the familiar "click" but no sound when I take a picture with the camera.
I want to turn off the camera shutter sound when you make a picture or a video but i dont have this option in my settings (cause its not allowed in my country). I have the unikernel and have root. I DONT WANT TO USE ANOTHER CAMERA APP!!! So i navigated to /system/media/audio/ui and i clicked every audio file and i deleted all the sounds that had to do with the camera app and now it doesnt make any sounds when i make a picture or a video ONLY WHEN I MAKE A SELFIE WITH THE FRONT CAM IT STILL MAKES THE SHUTTER SOUND, BUT THE SOUND ISNT IN THE DIRECTORY!!! I only have this problem on the frontside cam when i make a picture!! What can i do to remove the shutter sound for the front cam? I am on 5.1.1 and i have the unikernel stock and i have a sm-g920f
I have a Sprint Galaxy s6. I want to turn off the shutter sound but there is no option in the camera settings to turn it off. As soon as my kids hear that sound they immediately stop whatever they are doing.
I bought my 808 in Singapore, a country where other brands of smartphones come with an option to turn off the shutter sound eg HTC Desire S or an option to turn off the shutter sound when phone is in silent mode eg Samsung Galaxy S2. I was disappointed upon purchase of 808 to find that no such option existed.I would like to request Nokia to consider releasing a software update that allows users to turn off the shutter sound either as a setting or when phone is in silent mode. This was what Sony Ericsson did for its K700i model many years ago. There is a need to consider the varied needs of users eg the need not to awaken the baby when getting a shot. I wonder if this post is sufficient to convey my request to Nokia or should I make my request known to Nokia in another way that you can suggest?
After the update, the shutter sound is not silent when in silent/vibrate mode. Also, I am not sure if this is bug, but to activate camera with camera button, now you need to long press the button, whereas before you just had to tap. [Is it a bug or a fix?]But, the previous mentioned is a bug. Shutter should not make a sound when the phone is on silent mode or vibrate mode.
I just bought this phone 2 days ago from sony xperia here in the philippines. I can't seem to restore my camera shutter sound. I have my ringtone, media and alarm volumes to max. I'm not in silent mode either and the camera shutter sound settings in camera is set to 1 or 2 or 3
since updating to Sense 6 / Android 4.4.2 my shutter sound is just a short "click" which is easy to miss, is there any way of changing the shutter sound back to a more normal sound? The sound in the Google camera app is much closer to what it was like pre-update.
By default, the HTC One M8 has this slight tick sound when taking photos on the stock camera app, but I'm wondering if it's possible to change that sound to something of my own?
My phone is rooted so I can access to some of the system files if there's a need to replace, but I don't know exactly which one or if it's even safe to do so.
I use my phone outside most of the time, so seeing the screen and hearing the shutter sound is not easy. Is there a way to INCREASE shutter sound when I take a picture? My volume is up and I have selected the standard click sound is turned on.
I have a LG Keybo 2 (env3) from Telus and I'm wondering if there is a way to disable the shutter sound the camera makes when a picture is taken. There is no option in the phone menu to silence it or disable it, and I can't seem to find anything looking through the filesystem in Bitpim.
in regards to an iPhone 4S, is there a way to turn off the camera shutter sound that comes with taking a screenshot? (power button+home button) The phone is from South Korea, and I am aware of the law that requires a shutter sound for cameras due to surreptitious activity with cameras, but there should be no reason that a screenshot of the iPhone's screen should be associated with an obnoxious shutter sound that does not silence even after putting the phone on silent, lowering the volume, etc.
Info: iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1, The phone is from South Korea
