I live in New Zealand and just bought an Xperia X10i from the Vodafone shop. I now want to use it on a different network but can't seem to. I've tried putting the other networks simcard in but theres no connection. I know for a fact that Vodafone dont lock there phones therefor it has to be a manufacturers problem.

Network continously drops without any reason. Checked with my service, full strengh areas.Time without connection reaches 25%.I have read it's a 4.0.4 version bug on some phones.
My Xperia X8 has decided that nearly all my contacts are not on this network well thats what it tells me each time I try to ring someone.

I did it through PC companion and the phone was working fine however I did notice that dual touch was not updated. So the next day I connected it and tried SE Update Service. The message stated that the latest software was already installed. I then disconnected the phone but now I have no network at all. I've even tried using different sim cards as well. So should I just go ahead and reinstall the update or is there some sort of software repair available with SEUS or PC companion? Also, can anyone tell me what the latest firmware, baseband version etc. should be if I have the latest update with the dual touch

I have xperia x10 but it only shows the number on the screeen not the name id unless I have saved that no in my contact. When I change the sim to my ericsson w705 or w790, it always shows the name id with number?
Could ericsson try to solve this issue in their new update because if you are already used to of seeing the name id then it is very weird to see only the number.
who has the x10 mini what exactly I should be inputting for the correct settings? Now when I use the inbuilt procedure of Settings / About Phone / Software update / Update Now (with the WiFi & mobile networks setting selected) my X10 tells me "your phone will now search to see if any new software is available". After a few seconds it then informs me "Could not update - network error".

View 4 Replies View RelatedIt's happened before..But then I factory resetted my phone and it seemed alright for a couple of months but it then started back again today.Suddenly at some places I lose network signal (i.e. from my provider) and obviously it should come back when I go somewhere or whatever.But this time it won't even connect. I've shut down my phone, taken out the battery, taken out the SIM card..EVERYTHING. And I just can't seem to connect back to my network provider.
