i am unable to sync my iPhone 5 to my iTunes on my laptop (windows OS.) First, it asked me to update the laptop iTunes, so I did. Next it asked me to update the iPhone's iTunes and here lies the problem.Â
my iPhone 5's iOS is up to date. I went to settings>general>software update) looking for updates, but it told me that it's up to date. However when I connect it to the laptop and open iTunes, a message appears saying that I need to update the phone's iTunes.)Â
I tried updating my iPhone 4 which was on 5.0.1 to the latest 5.1. But I got this error message during the process "iTunes could not back up the iPhone because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone. Delete the backup for this iPhone and try again". I've got my backup in iClouds.
Info: iPhone 4, iOS 5.0.1, Windows 7, latest version of itunes
I recently updated iTunes. The update went smoothly, but immediately after the update iTunes no longer shows my iPhone4. The diagnostics show that everything is okay with exception of the no iPhone connected error. I've run through all of the Apple helps but nothing has fixed the problem. The same problem occurs on other user profiles on the same computer. The computer is a 64-bit Windows 7 machine. Windows 7 shows the iPhone and I can access it as a camera or drive. I've re-installed the phone USB driver but still no go. I can plug my phone into another computer and the sync works fine.
I have tried syncing my phone to my computer before but it deleted any song and playlist that wasn't in the iTunes on my computer. I sometimes will buy a song on my phone and I don't want to have to look up every song I have bought on my phone to go through and download it on my computer. Also I would like to not have to recreate playlist on my computer.
I've tried four times to download it and when it almost reaches completion it just freezes there and won't finish or transfer the update to my phone. Because of this I can now not download the latest update, or any new apps. Any ideas because this is driving me crazy!! I'm currently stuck with the 4.2.10 (8E600) when I got the phone about 2 yrs ago.
I'm unable to update my software in iphone4s, when i'm connected to wifi it says unable to connect but in general i have a message that update available up to 190mb connect to wifi to update.please provide a solution
I don't usually connect my iTunes to my iPhone, so when I started trying today to transfer music from my iTunes library to my iPhone, neither my computer nor my iTunes detected my iPhone as a device. When I connected it to my computer, it does show that it's charging, but it just doesn't show up on my compupter at all. Even when I tried the iTunes-Wifi sync, it couldn't detect my computer. Later on, I tried using dfu mode and updating/redownloading iTunes too but it didn't work.
I was syncronizing my iphone4 with the itunes 10 installed in my old computer. But this computer broke and I lost all the data. The security backup's I was doing in iclouds.
Now I have another computer where I installed itunes but when I try to syncronize it appears a message alerting me that the sync will substitute what I have in my iphone (contacts, music, photos, notes, etc, ALL) by the empty library of this new itunes...
I accessed iclouds online and I can also see the back up of my contacts. Not manage my music or photos.
How can I do to have my stuff again in itunes and freely sync without reseting what I have saved in the iphone4??
ive turned my iphone on and off and it syncs for a little but then it stops working a message pops up saying it cant be found?they both are up to date. here a picture of what i get,
Recently, I upgraded my iphone 4 software into 5.1.1, I believe at some point I got an error about "not being able to contact the software server" but I deemed it unimportant since the upgrade followed successfully, except afterwards, I only was able to sync via wi-fi, since when my iphone was connected, I got NO options except "Eject" ( the name of the iphone is apparent, but when i click on the devide, the big screen where there should be options such as "restore" and "search for update" only has the writing "Iphone" on a gray background) I thought it was something about the wi-fi sync I hadn't used before, googled for others that have the same problem, only found one outdated post where the person said they solved the problem on the phone with an apple representitive and after a "recovery" and restore, the phone was fine.
So I have put my phone in recovery mode, plugged it into Itunes, where it cannot "contact the software server". Is there any way I can restore my phone without using Itunes? Because apparently that wont work... (Oh, I tried a million solutions for contacting the software server error too, my "hosts" file is clean, I added and later on removed a dns of apple, I started using the dns 8.8.8.8 for my connection, etc. and nothing worked)
Also, "calling" anywhere is kinda the last resort because I am not from the United States so it would be skype all the way.
When I link into itunes, I am told that my phone is not registered. I have had my phone for less than 6 months. It worked through the itunes up until May and then I was unable to get it to connect to sync with itunes. I am able to buy products but not share with my other devices.
I had an iTunes library saved at another location, but I moved and I don't like going back and forth just to update my iTunes library. I decided I just want to do on my home computer (where I moved). However when I try to sync it, a message appears that says "iTunes was unable to load data class information from sync services. Reconnect or try again later".
i added a movie to my itunes that was mp4 format but it couldnt sync to my iphone. i tried playing it on my apple tv directly from my itunes and it didnt work. i think the problem was the resolution (i think it was 1000 something X ?) should i convert the video? if i should what application should i use? i plan on regularly syncing movies to my iphone4 and airplay them to my apple tv (newest one). i dont mind airplaying them from my mac ps. can i airplay and avi file from my mac to the apple TV?
I recently updated iTunes, now my iPhone 4 and my iPod will no longer sync with iTunes. I am running OS X 10.7.3 - I when I attempt to sync- it stops at syncing photos and quits- giving me an error page.
