I have a problem in setting ring tone and message tone.When i trying to set ringing tone or message alert tone in the Profiles(General) it showing an error message as "Not enough memory to show all ringing tones. only tones in read only memory will be displayed". But my phone memory has 50.1 MB free space and My memory card has 1.2 GB memory space.

May 9, 2012I purchased an album of Alert Tones off of iTunes, but they appear as music on my iPhone, instead of as tones so I can change my alerts in Settings > Sounds. All of the tones are only 3 - 5 seconds long, so they clearly are not "songs". I cannot figure out how to "move/convert" them to being sounds (alerts), not songs/music. What makes me even more crazy is that if I purchase a single tone, it will go into my Settings > Sounds as an alert/ringtone, but when I purchase the whole album of alert tones, they are saved as music.

Apr 17, 2011I am using a Torch: I am not able to able to get specific SMS tone for selected contacts working; have tried assigning on each individual contact in Contacts; have tried assigning on each contact using Tools (Sounds and Ring Tone); have tried assigning SMS tones using group of contacts in Tools (Sound and Tone; Contact Alert); for all these setting the SMS tone still goes back to the common tone assigned for the phone. My ringing tones for contacts work fine for different contacts, but not for SMS using the same method in the manual or as guided by the Tools menu.

Aug 24, 2011whenever i receive messages on my e72 phone.....at first i will be able to hear the message tone but after a while i wont be able to hear the message tone. Then wen i switch off and switch on my phone, i wil be able to hear my tone back. So i thought at first that it might be a software problem....so i updated my software to 071.004....so far it was working fine and now sdnly its back to how it used to be....has anyone faced a similar problem to mine?

Jun 14, 2010So the 'Normal' profile of my 9700 (Phone) is set up to play ALWAYS simply because it is on my desk in the office, it is not in the holster, and I want to hear when it rings.
I also have a ring tone that I downloaded (not the default).I noticed that when the phone is in the holster and it rings, as soon as I take it out from the holster the ring tonne changes from the one I set up to the default AT&T ring tone.

Jun 26, 2010This is only the second time this has happened since I got the phone a few weeks back.I have all of my messages set to different specific ringtones. My SMS to one, my MMS to one, my email to one etc. So tonight I rcvd an email and instead of playing the tone it always plays that it is set for (one of the generic preloaded notifier tones)... it played my SMS tone (which is an actual song tone) to alert me to my email.
And NO I didnt recieve a new SMS at the same time. That folder is empty and the only red star alert was on my email envelope. Like I said this is very, very few and far between but why would this happen??I went over every one of my sound/alert settings and they are all the way they should be set for my liking.

Apr 14, 2012I don't usually connect my iTunes to my iPhone, so when I started trying today to transfer music from my iTunes library to my iPhone, neither my computer nor my iTunes detected my iPhone as a device. When I connected it to my computer, it does show that it's charging, but it just doesn't show up on my compupter at all. Even when I tried the iTunes-Wifi sync, it couldn't detect my computer. Later on, I tried using dfu mode and updating/redownloading iTunes too but it didn't work.

Apr 20, 2012I was syncronizing my iphone4 with the itunes 10 installed in my old computer. But this computer broke and I lost all the data. The security backup's I was doing in iclouds.
Now I have another computer where I installed itunes but when I try to syncronize it appears a message alerting me that the sync will substitute what I have in my iphone (contacts, music, photos, notes, etc, ALL) by the empty library of this new itunes...
I accessed iclouds online and I can also see the back up of my contacts. Not manage my music or photos.
How can I do to have my stuff again in itunes and freely sync without reseting what I have saved in the iphone4??

Jun 1, 2012Recently, I upgraded my iphone 4 software into 5.1.1, I believe at some point I got an error about "not being able to contact the software server" but I deemed it unimportant since the upgrade followed successfully, except afterwards, I only was able to sync via wi-fi, since when my iphone was connected, I got NO options except "Eject" ( the name of the iphone is apparent, but when i click on the devide, the big screen where there should be options such as "restore" and "search for update" only has the writing "Iphone" on a gray background) I thought it was something about the wi-fi sync I hadn't used before, googled for others that have the same problem, only found one outdated post where the person said they solved the problem on the phone with an apple representitive and after a "recovery" and restore, the phone was fine.
So I have put my phone in recovery mode, plugged it into Itunes, where it cannot "contact the software server". Is there any way I can restore my phone without using Itunes? Because apparently that wont work... (Oh, I tried a million solutions for contacting the software server error too, my "hosts" file is clean, I added and later on removed a dns of apple, I started using the dns 8.8.8.8 for my connection, etc. and nothing worked)
Also, "calling" anywhere is kinda the last resort because I am not from the United States so it would be skype all the way.
