I am having a problem with my GPS, it stopped getting satellite signal. I've done everything I found here but nothing work, I purge the assistance data, update firmware, restore phone, but nothing work.

I have had a Sony in the past and it connected no problem. I have the Sony PC Suite on my PC but this cannot find the phone. Windows does not recognize that anything has been connected.

As far as I know the best way to do it is using SE PC Suite (if there is any other simpler ways of doing that please let me know as well) I downloaded latest PC Suite from SE website. Everything is goes well till it starts pairing up C905 and computer. Computer can see the phone, so does the phone, I can establish bluetooth connection from PC own software. But not through PC suite. After I am filling in passcode on the phone, few moments later, there is warning message, that pairing failed. I reinstalled PC Suite few times and it doesn't work. Do I need any specific drivers, for bluetooth to install on my comp? I am using Vista pro.

Update service software doesn't recognize it and a balloon shows up from my task bar with the message "Found new hardware". I click it and my system freezes. I also have tried to connect it while pressing 5 as I read through the other threads but the same problem happens.

So I want to connect my Phone which supports WiFi to my Laptop which is connected to the internet through wireless. I've tried to look online and so far there seems to be 2 possible ways.
Ad-Hoc: I tried creating a Ad Hoc connection via Network and Sharing Center>Set Up A New Connection Or Network>Set Up A Wireless Ad-Hoc (Computer to Computer) Network on Windows 7. When I searched for WiFi connections on my phone I did find the network I created but I couldnt go on the internet. BTW, when I create a AdHoc network, even my laptop is not connected to internet because I can only connect to one at a time meaning that I cant connect to my wireless.
Bluetooth: I believe that my laptop (Alienware M17x) has bluetooth. But I never really used it. Anyone know how to get internet on my phone via bluetooth?
Side Question: BTW, is there anyway to integrate maps into Google Maps 2.3.x? What about street view? Or can I somehow make Google Maps download the maps when I am connected through WiFi and store them so I can see them later.
I recently had to format my W995 as it was getting sluggish. It used to take a really long time to load once the phone was switched off. (It could be due to the mods though. The only two mods were Rodriguez' HDX 3.0 cam driver and LightEffects V3.) And finally, the other day, the phone turned unresponsive and I had to restart the phone but it would just show the standby screen and the screen would just turn off and turn on again.
I had to flash it with SEUS and it works well now. My only issue is that Opera Mini 5 (and the versions before that i.e. 4.2) simply doesn't work over wifi. It now only works using my 3G connection. It used to work perfectly fine before flashing. The Netfront browser does work over wifi and I've even manually entered the IP address, DNS, Gateway etc. Any ideas on where I'm going wrong? Local connections are enabled and other programs can connect over wifi.
I have three problems with my W995a:1) When I'm texting, the backlight keeps changing how bright it is, when I'm texting it will sometimes go quite dark then other times quite bright (not a major issue)2) When I was calling someone, the phone just turned off and I lost the call, I rung the person back, then shortly after connecting the call, they couldn't hear me so I hung up and rang again. Shortly after ringing again, the phone turned off again.3) And finally - my biggest problem right now, is that I just bought a USB cord to connect it to my computer, yet when I do, it keeps on disconnecting from my computer then reconnecting (even though it's plugged in). This makes it impossible to do anything with it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAs the title implies, I need to ask if there are varying kinds of Sony Ericsson LCD screens for the G705 or if there are variations in models made. Nearly 6 months ago I bought a Sony Ericsson G705 phone off eBay that only needed a new LCD screen. Well I purchased a screen off eBaand was good to go except for a few minor issues...
1.) The LCD screen had a thicker screen/border than the original so I had to mod it by taking off the white border around it.
2.) The ribbon that connects the LCD screen to the G705's keypad wasn't aligned correctly causing it to disconnect from the keypad every so often. This too I had to fix by sticking some paper underneath where the connector sits. It worked after the modifications but the end result is the keypad was raised causing issues where pushing the up key would force it to push the left key too. Unfortunately after awhile the screen stopped working likely due to the fact the different layers were separating. I gave in and bought a new screen from an online dealer elsewhere just to get scammed in the end with a broken LCD screen which they refused to replace claiming I cracked it. So now I've purchased a new screen of eBay yet this one has issues too, it's thinner than the first one I got, but has the same problem where the ribbon doesn't appear to be aligned correctly either. This time however, I get some ugly dead pixels in the lower left corner of the screen and the rest is completely jumbled with white lines going through it. I've already contacted the seller for an exchange and am about to lose all hope getting this phone working. Anyway, back to the topic. Do the screens in the G705 vary from region to region or between versions? When I got it I found the phone was from Hong Kong (firmware was HK anyway.) though the manual and included paperwork suggested it was from France. The screens I have purchased seemed to have varying differences between either the thickness is too wide, the ribbon doesn't fit the correct position, or some other incompatibility. I bought this phone.
Everytime I open the gps ovi map, everything is fine. But this only for the first time open, if i close the navigation, and few seconds go in later, i can't get connect to the satellites. In "gps data", the status is no connection and no satellite status. "Option" in "gps data" should be in this following sequense - "open"-"satellites status"-"settings"-"positioning settings"-"help"-"exit". But my "satellites status" is missing at this time. no matter in and out the "gps data", and how many minutes i wait for it, the "satellites status" still missing. things only get back normal if i restart the phone. That means, i only can use the gps one times only, if i exits and access again, it is not working, and i need to restart the phone. I have try to change the selection in position method. it is not working.
View 4 Replies View RelatedPlease help someone I have encountered my first Elm problem. Over night I charged the phone & this morning it's still charging & will not pass 66% charge. I took battery out put back in & charged with the phone off for another hour. When switched back on it was now @ 65% This was after another hour of charging with the phone off. I then did a master reset of all not just settings. Charged it up again for a further hour & still the charge is not increasing. Please help what the hell is going on? This battery has a mind of it's own. I have a feeling something has occured since I kept plugging & unplugging quite often the phone in & out of my pc. So maybe it's caused this I do not know. Please any suggestions this phone has been reliable upto this piont

My blackberry bold 9900 can not find satellites for gps. Every now and again it works bot only for a few minutes. Could this be my service provider which is vodafone australia. Or is it my blackbery?

The point is this is a true GPS that shall work even if I am not on any carrier / have not inserted any SIM card. View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen I used to connect my old nokia 6300 to my car radio/cd unit (sony 6000 cd) via bluetooth I used to have the call list (as stored in the phone by name displayed in, out, missed etc on the car head unit screen when the phone button was pressed.I was able to scroll through these up/down and select dial to make a call.I have now upgraded to C5 and although connects and makes and recives calls fine all that is displayed in the Sony car unit screen is the numbers not the 'names' as stored on the phone making it tricky to know who I'm calling.Am I doing something wrong do I need to change a setting on the phone? I have 'remote sim' on in the bluetooth menu in the phone.

I've exewcuted the application as administrator but no use. I've downloaded the latest PC companion but still it's not working. Also I've tried in every way to coonect to internet i.e, by unmounting sd card, mounting sd card, USB debugging etc. PC companion is detecting my phone (XPERIA Neo V) but it is not connecting to internet.
