Samsung :: Straight Talk R451c Has Java But Not Enabled
Jan 13, 2010I have a Straight Talk Samsung R451c. I keep trying to get Java apps on my phone. I called Samsung and they said it has Java, but Straight Talk disabled that and many more extensions from being downloaded onto the phone. They told me to call Straight Talk, so I did. They said it wouldn't be fair to the other customers if they told me how to enable downloading and Java. That being said, THERE IS A WAY TO HACK IT! Looking at the Samsung website seeing Java enabled is the ONLY reason I bought this phone. Click Here to see the Samsung specs. May 25, 2012I recently got the Samsung T528G from Straight Talk and started poking around in the phone. While they say this phone doesn't have GPS capability, I found some menus for LBS (location based services). Some of the test settings appear to reference GPS locations, specifically in Texas. I am not familiar with all of the options and settings in the LBS screen, but is it possible the phone has GPS capability but it's disabled? If so, does anyone know how to enable it or what settings I might try?

May 4, 2012I have an A T & T iphone 4 on straight talk. It will call, text and email like a pro, but after configuring APN settings, I can't get MMS to work, sending or receiving. Straight talk gave me the mms settings, but I have no way to enter that screen. I'm not jailbroken or unlocked.

I bought a 16 GIG micro SD card put it in formatted it and now I can't find Skype, the GPS shows no maps even though I updated from OVI Suite. When I put the Card in that came with the phone it works. I did put songs on the new memory card and they work fine. What to do?

Apr 29, 2012I am using a new I phone 4s on Straight Talk and I have only 1 to 2 bars maximum anywhere I go and then it will have no service at all.I was a previous verizon customer and had 4 to 5 sitting in my home now I have 1 or 2 and if I walk around sometimes goes to no service at all. Verizon did not have service everywhere I went but that was in hilly areas as I live in central Illinois and have talked to others with AT&T and they are getting better service than this as that is what towers Straight Talk uses. I am getting a Gel bumper cover and have already tried the black tape it did not help. It says I have 4 G sitting in house but cannot make a call and the 4G goes in and out also.

This is very annoying as it just ends up trying to listen to whatever music the radio is playing and then tries to work out what I want it to do.

This is unacceptable and cannot continue to happen because I use this phone for business and personal use.

I got a text telling me people were trying to contact me and I didn't answer the phone! It didn't ring. I've had it set for CDME/LTE because I live/work in a saturated 4G area. For some reason the phone read 3G with 4bars lit.No call. After multiple text messages the call came through. I've had people complain before that they've called when I've had the phone sitting next to me at work and it hasn't rung, and at other times it rings just fine.

It's long enough that I miss a word or two. It's not like the other folks where their fingers were over the mic. From the home screen you can hold the talk button for a couple of seconds and it pulls up the address book but if you just tap the talk button it opens the recent call list. If you hold the talk button from there it tries calling the last number. Anyone know if I can change this to be like the 83xx?
