I have the Samsung R451c from Straight Talk. I have bluetooth on my computer, and the devices can see each other fine and connect. The problem is when I go to send my pics, ringtones or anything, and choose via bluetooth from my phone, my computer is not listed. So I go back to my registered devices, and my computer is listed. I don't underwstand why it's doing this. Now from my computer I can send files to the phone with no problems. I just can't seem to get the phone to send to the computer, yet it's listed in the registered devices under bluetooth settings. I can see other phones with no issue, and transfer files both ways, it just to this computer this phone has problems with. I have connected many phones to this computer with no problems, so don't understand.
I have a Straight Talk Samsung R451c. I keep trying to get Java apps on my phone. I called Samsung and they said it has Java, but Straight Talk disabled that and many more extensions from being downloaded onto the phone. They told me to call Straight Talk, so I did. They said it wouldn't be fair to the other customers if they told me how to enable downloading and Java. That being said, THERE IS A WAY TO HACK IT! Looking at the Samsung website seeing Java enabled is the ONLY reason I bought this phone. Click Here to see the Samsung specs. Not to mention I bought it on eBay for $108 w/accessories.I have another post in the Straight Talk forums, please help me out in trying to figure out how to do this. http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1609835
I recently got the Samsung T528G from Straight Talk and started poking around in the phone. While they say this phone doesn't have GPS capability, I found some menus for LBS (location based services). Some of the test settings appear to reference GPS locations, specifically in Texas. I am not familiar with all of the options and settings in the LBS screen, but is it possible the phone has GPS capability but it's disabled? If so, does anyone know how to enable it or what settings I might try?
I have an A T & T iphone 4 on straight talk. It will call, text and email like a pro, but after configuring APN settings, I can't get MMS to work, sending or receiving. Straight talk gave me the mms settings, but I have no way to enter that screen. I'm not jailbroken or unlocked.
Just purchased iphone4 and inserted new Straight Talk Micro SIM, and the phone says it does not recognize it. It fits perfectly...any reasons why it would not recognize it? The phone worked perfectly before on ATT.
I just got my Nokia E71 Straight Talk phone I downloaded Skype, updated maps and the phone worked fine. I bought a 16 GIG micro SD card put it in formatted it and now I can't find Skype, the GPS shows no maps even though I updated from OVI Suite. When I put the Card in that came with the phone it works. I did put songs on the new memory card and they work fine. What to do?
Hey there I am trying to use my LG Dare phone on the straight talk network... the straight talk network uses the verizon network but its sold though walmart and there is like 6 phones you can buy. I got an LG dare already I think there is a way this can be done anbody want to give me a tip or two... My e-mail is StoneComputers@live.com if you can't post the solution here
I am using a new I phone 4s on Straight Talk and I have only 1 to 2 bars maximum anywhere I go and then it will have no service at all.I was a previous verizon customer and had 4 to 5 sitting in my home now I have 1 or 2 and if I walk around sometimes goes to no service at all. Verizon did not have service everywhere I went but that was in hilly areas as I live in central Illinois and have talked to others with AT&T and they are getting better service than this as that is what towers Straight Talk uses. I am getting a Gel bumper cover and have already tried the black tape it did not help. It says I have 4 G sitting in house but cannot make a call and the 4G goes in and out also.
I just got my Blackjack II and would also like some games, I found this site looking online. Someone had a video of mario bros and spy hunter on a blackjack and said to come here to download it, but I have been searching forums on here for almost 2 hours and can not find anything.
My BB Pearl 8120 picks up wi-fi fine, but I have just replaced my home router and it doesn't recognize it when I scan for networks, All other wireless devices in the house (TV, laptop, I-Pad, son's phone) connect no problem.
connecting nokia N8 to internet via Talk Talk router with WEP. I have just updated my Nokia's software and now I can use an internet because I'm getting error. I can connect to the router, there is a status "connected" but then the internet not working.
My girlfriend recently got this phone and it was working fine till like a week ago.Whenever i try to call her it goes straight to her voice mail. Even though she didn't reject any calls. We're both using t-mobile, so she called t mobile but they told her to call Samsung, so is something wrong with the phone?
If i receive a message in my blackberry messenger and i take my phone out of the holster it goes straight to that message, how can i take this option off?
i had the same problem with my SMS messages and all that but it's easily taken care of by going to Options in the messages, General options, and i put "never" to the option "Auto open newest message after removing device from holster".this option is not in the BBM but im sure it's there, cant find it, can anyone help please?
If I was getting a call on my old LG VX4500 I could just touch an outside button once to silence the ringer- but the caller kept ringing until voicemail answered. They'd never know I silenced them. If you hit the button twice, it sent them straight to voicemail. The A870 lets you silence the ringer with one touch. BUT is there a way to send it straight to voicemail? For example, if you had a call coming in but had to make another call first you'd have to wait until the voicemail took over.
I have a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Black and Silver.I'm with Orange and I want to know will it cost me money to download a song from the Nokia Music store straight from my phone? I have 500 MB free internet browsing but will it still cost me?
I will call Orange and see if they can help but they may say speak to Nokia in which case I might have to unless one of you guys can help me.
I was in a meeting this am waiting for an important business call. The phone was sitting on the table. I got a text telling me people were trying to contact me and I didn't answer the phone! It didn't ring. I've had it set for CDME/LTE because I live/work in a saturated 4G area. For some reason the phone read 3G with 4bars lit.No call. After multiple text messages the call came through. I've had people complain before that they've called when I've had the phone sitting next to me at work and it hasn't rung, and at other times it rings just fine.
I have recently purchase a Samsung Jack from FIDO but have been experiencing a lot of problems with it. It often enough doesn't deliver the call to my phone and the person dialing my number is sent straight to voicemail without any rings.
Also, my who called messages don't show up when this happens and I don't get a voicemail text message either. If I restart the phone, it often works and if I take the sim card out and put it back into my N95, i get all the who called messages and my missing texts from other people.
I have gone into the store already and done an over the counter exchange for a brand new unit but am have the EXACT same problem. Anyone else have this issue or heard of it or have a solution?
The problem is intermittent and does not occur ALL the time, but MOST of the time.
I am on CITY FIDO Vancouver and am subscribing to who called and name display as well.
I claimed on insurance for a new phone the other day. When it came, the screen didn't work so I claimed on warranty. Now when I press the lock button on this new phone the lock screen appears with my Owner's details. However when I press any of the physical buttons once you expect the "press the unlock key to continue". However with this one it simply unlocks straight away. I'm hoping this is a software issue. I've done a battery pull. I'm running out-of-the-box .141 on a 9500.
Alright BlackBerry gurus, I need some help and/or advice. I have the 8350i running on the Boost service, which as most everyone knows, is just the Nextel Network under a pre-pay plan. The correct service books have been installed, and everything that should work, seems to be working fine. (SMS/MMS, Native Browser, Opera Browser, PTT, etc. Of course there are no BES/BIS services, but that shouldn't have anything do to with the problem I'm having, I don't think.)My issue has to do with not getting phone calls. It seems that 90% of my phone calls are being immediately routed to my voice mail, and as a result, all of my friends think I'm ignoring them. Now I know that this is not a signal issue, as I have "blasting" service where I live. Instead, I think the problem lies with the fact that the phone always appears to be sending or receiving data. At least that what I think it's doing, as the little arrows in the upper right hand corner are almost constantly pointing up or down. I've also noticed that when the arrows are indicating that data is being uploaded or downloaded, the phone calls get sent to voice mail, but when the arrows are gone, calls come through immediately. I am also familiar with the fact that Nextel phones cannot receive phone calls when sending or receiving text messages and certain other "data" related functions, and I think that is the culprit here. (Incidentally I do very little texting, but I do have email notifications sent to my phone as text messages, so I do get about 8-12 a day, but that's not many over a 24 hour period.) Anyway, as a test, I went to Options/Advanced Options/Browser Push, and unchecked "Enable Push," which then turns off the MDS and WAP push features. Once I did that, the data arrows almost never show that they are sending or receiving anything and my calls come through instantly, but I lose the SMS/MMS Text functions. (The Opera browser still works, as the data function is still enabled, just no "push" features.)
I also tried simply turning off the "Data Services" feature on the Mobile Network option, and once again the phone calls come through instantly, but with "Data Services" turned off, not only do I not get any text messages, but I lose the Opera and BB Browsers, as they need the data connection to operate without Wi-Fi. So first of all, I would like to hear from any other 8350i users, as to whether you've noticed that your phone is constantly sending or receiving data. (On my phone, the arrows almost seem to be "glued" there, because they rarely go away. On top of everything else, I'm sure this isn't helping my battery life any, not to mention the crazy "RF noise" the phone makes in the speakers of my stereo system, when it is in the process of sending or receiving data.) And then I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same problems with losing the majority of their calls to voice mail.Lastly, if this massive amount of data transmission appears to be abnormal, would anyone know what might be causing it? I only have Gmail, Google Sync and Opera Browser installed as additional programs, and I don't think any of them "talks to a server" on a regular basis.I really love this phone, but the constant data flow is killing me.
I just got the MOTOKRZR K1m and have found that if i silence an incoming call, it goes straight to voicemail! this is frustrating because then people know when i'm not taking their call (goes to voicemail mid-ring).is there any way i can change this to let it keep ringing on the other end instead of going to voicemail?
How is the talk time for the D900?I know i heard the battery life on it is really ******, so I realize that I need to recharge it daily; which isn't a problem. But how many minutes of talking can i get out of it before it needs to be recharged? ON AVERAGE?
I have just purchased a Galaxy SII ... my only real problem is that there is quite a bad echo when I use the phone. this is noticeable by friends that have often rung me over the past few months. They all notice now I have my new phone that there is an echo when they talk to me. So, it seems that it is my phone causing it?
I have installed a number of different J2ME Map/gps applications on my F480. And I have paired a SirifIII GPS receiver, which is listed as a virtual serial port on the Services list. I am not able to figure out how to get the J2ME program to talk with the GPS receiver.
I just got this phone, and it seems really nice so far.I just have one question and can't find the answer to it anywhere. Can you talk on this phone even when it's not slid out.It says that the microphone's on the bottom so I don't see why it would have to be.I know you can set it so it can answer it if you slide it, but that's not what I'm wondering. So do you have to slide the phone before you can talk on it (make or receive calls)? Are there any benefits to sliding it if you don't have to?
Sorry for another thread so soon, but I was listening to Slacker the other day when I recieved a phone call so I talked on the phone using my headphones. I later took them out, but now when I recieve calls it shows the "phone symbol" in the left corner and a pair of headphones over it, and I can only hear people on the phone if I am using headphones. I tried a battery pull and it's still like that.
I learned that a friend on Sprints network (I'm a VZW customer) can talk on the phone and continue to receive messenger alerts, while mine is a no go.... how do I change my settings to allow messenger alerts while Im on the phone?
I just bought a 9800 and cannot talk on the phone without it going to speaker, mute, or adding a participant to the phone call. I have tried locking the phone while talking, but still run into the same problems. Is there a solution? Do I need to just hold the phone 5 inches away from my fat cheeks? I know this is silly, but it is really irritating.
I have SCH-A950 and I use Telus in Ontario Canada. I recently dropped my phone from my balcony which is 11th floor and landed on cement and landed on wet snow. But it was in one piece and working really fine except my microphone is damaged so I cant talk on phone!. I need new phone or If I could I want to fix my phone I know how to solder and basically got my basic skills down. Does anyone know where I can get disassembled pics?
I'm planning to purchase a Bold next week. Is it true the Bold is the first BlackBerry that is capable of sending emails (not simply typing emails) and talking on the phone (or sending a text message) at the same time? Older models were not capable of sending emails and using the phone line at the same time because they could not use EDGE for emails and GSM/GPRS for phone calls simultaneously.
