I have a Straight Talk Samsung R451c. I keep trying to get Java apps on my phone. I called Samsung and they said it has Java, but Straight Talk disabled that and many more extensions from being downloaded onto the phone. They told me to call Straight Talk, so I did. They said it wouldn't be fair to the other customers if they told me how to enable downloading and Java. That being said, THERE IS A WAY TO HACK IT! Looking at the Samsung website seeing Java enabled is the ONLY reason I bought this phone. Click Here to see the Samsung specs. Not to mention I bought it on eBay for $108 w/accessories.I have another post in the Straight Talk forums, please help me out in trying to figure out how to do this. http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1609835
I recently got the Samsung T528G from Straight Talk and started poking around in the phone. While they say this phone doesn't have GPS capability, I found some menus for LBS (location based services). Some of the test settings appear to reference GPS locations, specifically in Texas. I am not familiar with all of the options and settings in the LBS screen, but is it possible the phone has GPS capability but it's disabled? If so, does anyone know how to enable it or what settings I might try?
If I was getting a call on my old LG VX4500 I could just touch an outside button once to silence the ringer- but the caller kept ringing until voicemail answered. They'd never know I silenced them. If you hit the button twice, it sent them straight to voicemail. The A870 lets you silence the ringer with one touch. BUT is there a way to send it straight to voicemail? For example, if you had a call coming in but had to make another call first you'd have to wait until the voicemail took over.
I have the Samsung R451c from Straight Talk. I have bluetooth on my computer, and the devices can see each other fine and connect. The problem is when I go to send my pics, ringtones or anything, and choose via bluetooth from my phone, my computer is not listed. So I go back to my registered devices, and my computer is listed. I don't underwstand why it's doing this. Now from my computer I can send files to the phone with no problems. I just can't seem to get the phone to send to the computer, yet it's listed in the registered devices under bluetooth settings. I can see other phones with no issue, and transfer files both ways, it just to this computer this phone has problems with. I have connected many phones to this computer with no problems, so don't understand.
I have recently purchase a Samsung Jack from FIDO but have been experiencing a lot of problems with it. It often enough doesn't deliver the call to my phone and the person dialing my number is sent straight to voicemail without any rings.
Also, my who called messages don't show up when this happens and I don't get a voicemail text message either. If I restart the phone, it often works and if I take the sim card out and put it back into my N95, i get all the who called messages and my missing texts from other people.
I have gone into the store already and done an over the counter exchange for a brand new unit but am have the EXACT same problem. Anyone else have this issue or heard of it or have a solution?
The problem is intermittent and does not occur ALL the time, but MOST of the time.
I am on CITY FIDO Vancouver and am subscribing to who called and name display as well.
I have an A T & T iphone 4 on straight talk. It will call, text and email like a pro, but after configuring APN settings, I can't get MMS to work, sending or receiving. Straight talk gave me the mms settings, but I have no way to enter that screen. I'm not jailbroken or unlocked.
Just purchased iphone4 and inserted new Straight Talk Micro SIM, and the phone says it does not recognize it. It fits perfectly...any reasons why it would not recognize it? The phone worked perfectly before on ATT.
I just got my Nokia E71 Straight Talk phone I downloaded Skype, updated maps and the phone worked fine. I bought a 16 GIG micro SD card put it in formatted it and now I can't find Skype, the GPS shows no maps even though I updated from OVI Suite. When I put the Card in that came with the phone it works. I did put songs on the new memory card and they work fine. What to do?
Hey there I am trying to use my LG Dare phone on the straight talk network... the straight talk network uses the verizon network but its sold though walmart and there is like 6 phones you can buy. I got an LG dare already I think there is a way this can be done anbody want to give me a tip or two... My e-mail is StoneComputers@live.com if you can't post the solution here
I am using a new I phone 4s on Straight Talk and I have only 1 to 2 bars maximum anywhere I go and then it will have no service at all.I was a previous verizon customer and had 4 to 5 sitting in my home now I have 1 or 2 and if I walk around sometimes goes to no service at all. Verizon did not have service everywhere I went but that was in hilly areas as I live in central Illinois and have talked to others with AT&T and they are getting better service than this as that is what towers Straight Talk uses. I am getting a Gel bumper cover and have already tried the black tape it did not help. It says I have 4 G sitting in house but cannot make a call and the 4G goes in and out also.
I recently bought a Curve for my Verizon service. I need to lock the keyboard to prevent "butt dialing." This worked great for the first two days; I used the lock icon to lock, and I was able to unlock the keyboard with the *&send button sequence. This is a well thought out feature, and even with my less than perfect vision I am able to do it with one hand without glasses.
As soon as our IT department set up the Blackberry server account, the Curve asked me to enter a new password. I entered my default "work" email password thinking that it was needed to get into my corporate email account.
Now the phone has gone into a mode where it is necessary for me to enter this complex (alpha&num&punct) password even to access non-email features such as my call log.
I cannot enter this password without getting out my eyeglasses and using both hands. This is such a bad situation that if I cannot fix this, I will go back to my old Motorola Q phone.
eliminate (or simplify down to something I can do with one hand) the keyboard lock password. I looked this up and it instructs me to go to "Device Settings" which I cannot find in the menu system of the Curve.
It took some time to upgrade to 2.1 and the process was not as straightforward as I had hoped but I eventually retrieved my contacts and re-installed my apps. Then I found a fundamental problem...I cannot answer any incoming calls!
When I swipe the bar across the screen to answer the phone it goes straight to voicemail. I have searched settings and cannot see why this is happening. Does anyone out there know what am doing or have done wrong?
I have a sprint bb curve 8330 and some people are telling me that when they call they are going straight to voicemail. i have full signal at the time. any one know what this could be. i am on the phone now with sprint and they are saying it may be a voice issue but i was wondering if any one has found any other fixes that i could try in the mean time. They did a network refresh and we will see if that is the culprit
I just got the MOTOKRZR K1m and have found that if i silence an incoming call, it goes straight to voicemail! this is frustrating because then people know when i'm not taking their call (goes to voicemail mid-ring).is there any way i can change this to let it keep ringing on the other end instead of going to voicemail?
I have an E72 on orange (a direct from Nokia model), firmware version 052.005. It is constantly sending my calls straight to voice mail without the call even ringing, I just get a voicemail notification, its not a signal thing I've checked this.
I have someone who is bugging me constantly and I do not want to pay for the parental controls plan where I can have the person blacklisted from contacting me, so I wanted to know how would go about setting a specific contact's calls to go straight to voice mail whenever they tried to call me?
Everythings has been working fine on my 8350i (Boostberry) for months, then when I woke up the other morning I couldnt make or receive any calls. Incoming calls go straight to voicemail. When I attempt to dial out nothing happens. after pressing send the phone just goes right back to the call history screen. (not even attempting to place the call) Boost told me this isnt their issue and they cant help since its a bb phn. btw the internet, mms and ptt is are all still working
