I charged my Samsung Galaxy S2, and when I took the phone charger out the phone startet beeping and this message keeps popping up "charging paused, voltage too high".
View 2 RepliesMy job requires me to take some shifts with a standby period from 4-7 AM in case an emergency happens, so I have to leave the phone on beside my bed, and it has to be audible.I plug it in so if I have to respond, I will do so with a full battery. Then inevitably after I have fallen asleep, two beeps wake me up to tell me the battery is charged. I ticked the box in settings 'no notification ringtone', but it did not seem to shut this off. can't imagine what idiot designer at Samsung thought that this would be a very important feature that we all must have, but it is driving me nuts.

I suffer from insomnia and I finally got to sleep last night, only to be woken up by the phone vibrating to let me know it was fully charged. I wasn't able to get back to sleep for hours then, and I'm dreading it happening again tonight! How can I turn this notification off?

This is really annoying while listening to music or Audible as the audio cuts out, beeps, and then audio continues. Also the screen turns on at the same time of the beep.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI seem to have developed a strange problem since the update to 5.1.1 a couple of days ago. When I connect to my Edge via bluetooth, and use Google Play Music, there is a beep in the background and the music stutters and then continue playing, then about 30 seconds later it happens again...it coninues for about 10 to 15 minutes then the problem disappeared entirely. I don't believe it is entirely Google Play Music because I paused Google Play Music and the beeping continued in the background. ......perhaps the bluetooth connection? I haven't been able to reproduce the error but it has happened twice.

After I woke up I decided to charge it..I stepped out for literally 3 to 4 minutes..and came back and quickly turned my phone on. I didn't quite notice at what percent it was at, at that point (I assumed it didn't really charge much at all because I literally just started charging it). Once I turned it on, I noticed how it was charged up to 45%? How did that happen? I
I charged it fully to 100%..but it took me around 45 mins to an hr for it to get from 45% battery to 100%...but, how did it reach 45% in charging in literally 3 minutes the way I described above?
Is there suppose to be a sound when the phone has charged?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI started using Onedrive and enabled automatic upload with wifi. I noticed when taking pictures and connected to wifi that Onedrive starts downloading almost immediately. Is there anyway to have the Onedrive App download at specific times (or even have any options) or should I look at a different App on the market that might handle uploads more to my preferences? I don't need my phone hanging on uploads as I'm trying to take pictures.
I guess the other option is to take it off automatic and just remember to do it myself every now and then.
the phone maybe 6/7 weeks ago, plugged into laptop, checked up to date, restored some data from S3 backup, installed a few standard apps, all good.. After two weeks or so phone starts randomly rebooting - not with any specific app, could even be sat on the table and you'd suddenly hear the start up noise. Spoke to EE Support, tried some 'resetting the network' thing from their end, no change. Called again and was passed to Samsung Support - talked me through a hard reset. No change. Posted back to Samsung. Came back a few days later saying no fault found but they wiped it, updated it and it's good to go. Booted and phone was crashing every time I opened Internet and a few other apps. Didn't get as far as installing apps or backup. Posted back again. Phone came back again, no fault found but same problems straight out of the box. Called and explained again, posted again, this time they've told me that the phone has been damaged and is beyond repair and included a screenshot of a screen saying 'Know Warranty VOID 0x1'.
After having a rant about their packaging and that it must have been knocked in their support centre (yes, that is my level of knowledge of phone rooting) I've just Googled and found it actually means that the phone has been rooted. The phone definitely hasn't been rooted by me on purpose and the only update I've run is through Kies. The only apps installed via Play Store. Is it possible that something that Samsung Support has done or asked me to do has changed this flag?
I just got the S6 Edge last night! I was charging it in my computer at work and unplugged it to use it and the red light is still on and the phone will not come on or anything.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having the same problem with 3 different audiobook players on the S6. These include Overdrive, Audible, and Smart Audiobook Player. All 3 behave identically. Tech support for Overdrive and Audible are at a loss.
First, audio pauses randomly over a period of 5 minutes to 1 hour. Second, the audio paused by this bug and/or manually paused will magically start playing over a period of 1 hour to 8 hours. This is very annoying when it happens at 3:00am.
I wiped my phone and reinstalled from a backup. Things worked fine for a few days. The problem then came back.
I got a new phone from Verizon warranty. For the first 4 weeks things worked fine. Then, suddenly the problem came back. I wiped the phone. The problem went away (I think - it's only been a day). I can't see wiping my phone once every week or two indefinitely.
for some reason, my iTunes says it is 98% charged but my iPhone says it is fully charged at 100%... So I am not sure which to believe nor why this is happening? Does it have anything to do with the calibration of my phone's battery? Do I trust my phone's depiction or iTunes'?Â

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use a wireless charging dock in my car along with connecting my phone via bluetooth to the entertainment system. I've encountered an annoying issue when playing media.. here's the simplest way I can put my scenario:
1. Place phone on wireless charger and starting playing music
2. Phone becomes 100% charged and emits a screen wake + notification noise telling me so
3. Wireless charging stops because the phone is fully charged
4. With music playing, the battery drains to less than 100%, which engages the wireless charging
5. Repeat from step 2
This loop happens over and over endlessly. The charged notification makes an audible noise like every 3-4 minutes which is super annoying while I'm listening to music.
Is there a way for me to disable the audible noise that occurs when I place my phone on a charger or when the phone becomes fully charged? Is there a way to keep the wireless charging "active" so my charge doesn't dip while on the dock?
Can the notification that the battery is charged and that the charger should be disconnected be turned off? I use my phone for a clock/alarm at night and I think the bright white notification bar (irritating in itself) will eventually burn the screen. I thought perhaps MacroDroid could do it, but I don't see that notification as an event.

Now, their is noway to switch the call over because apparently no one is truly calling! The beep just sounds as if someone is calling in on call waiting and even has the hanging up series of beeps.

I don't use the Mail app, and the Mail app is disabled in the Notifications menu.I do NOT want to disable ALL notifications, and I need my phone to be able to send emails from Camera and other apps, so I don't want to disconnect email.
