I've used them before when rooting a previous phone. I have a problem with my new S6. I got it about three weeks ago, and I love it. The only problem I have is the incredibly short battery life. There has to be a problem with my phone, because I'll have a battery life of about 5 hours on a good day, but usually 2 or 3. The phone will get mildly hot, and all battery will drain rapidly. I will regularly lose ~40-50% in an hour after it starts heating up.
I've been simply dealing with it for a while, after a failed attempt to find a solution on Google. I regularly close my apps, and I even have powersaver on at all times now. Last night, I closed all apps, then restarted my phone. It was at 98 when I fell asleep. I woke up 9 hours later and it was dead. I have checked the battery info a couple times, but I don't ever see anything rapidly draining battery.
The battery meter on my Curve 9300 shows the incorrect levels, it could be showing that the battery is half full then the handheld will just shut off, I pull out the battery plug it back in then when it reboots it'll show that it only has 1/2 a bar left then die. I have nothing but Messages, Home and Phone running in the background.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery time I charge the phone, the battery gets low very quickly, even when it's not in use. Example, last night before going to sleep the battery was charged to 60%, but when I woke up. It was nearly 20%.... why is it so? I only charge my phone via the USB cable on my laptop. Is it harmful for the battery life?
View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday I monitor the Xperia ray mobile to check the battery drainage problem again, at 5.30 PM the battery reached 72% battery level gets low and pop ups the power save mode. And then I put it into Charge in half an hour the battery gets fully charged. I don't understand how it possible. I am really fed up with this newly installed Android OS 4.0 ICS. I want to know when will be available the next update.
View 1 Replies View RelatedA few days later I noticed the battery was going from 100% to 0% in a few hours only, so I went in the first week to change the battery and did that and it used to work well until a few days ago where the battery goes from 100% to 0% in less than an hour. I do use the browser and twitter alot, but still I think the battery should stay more than that.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe battery on my iPhone 4s (OS 7.1.2) is draining rapidly.Â
After reading this forum, I have done all the necessary "tricks" to try and limit the battery draining, including:
-Resetting all settings.
-Rebooting the phone.
-Putting the screen brightness down to half.
-Stopping my emails pushing (now only fetch every hour).
-Turning off Background App Refresh.
-Only making iCloud back up Contacts, Calendars and Photos. Â
I have fully charged my phone and have nothing in the background, yet after 5 minutes my usage had upped by 2 minutes and my standby upped by 5 minutes.
I didn't do anything with the phone but 1 text message came through.Â
Sometimes my phone will go all the way down quite quickly to something like 30% but when I plug it in to charge, it shoots straight back up to what it was at.
Early I was flicking through Facebook, only reading status and watching a couple of short videos and my percentage shot down by like 40% in 5 odd minutes.
Facebook really drains the battery I think, along with watching short videos on Facebook.Â
My phone is less than 2 years old so its abit of a joke if I need a new battery already... I've been looking at the iPhone 6 when it comes out but this has put me right off.Â

I'm experiencing problems with my phone battery life. When I charge the phone it tells me that the battery is full but after 10-15 min it tells me it's empty again. This is strange as I bought two other new batteries and it's the same issue. I'm suspecting that it has nothing to do with the battery. My software version is 081.003. model E72-1
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy bb curve 8520 is about a year old. 3 days ago i noticed the battery went from 100% to 0% in a span of some minutes. i recharged the battery and noticed it kept doing the same thing. I then replaced the battery thinking it had run its course but the problem persists. I have no open programs running and no new applications installed that might be using up the battery. the phone gets warm and the battery dies rapidly.

View 1 Replies View Relatedafter the recent update to ICS 4.0.4 my battery is draining even faster. Even when I am not using the phone, the battery is draining very fast, upon checking I see that Android OS used up atleaset 50% when on Idel and it has a Keep awake of over 9 hrs in a total period of 10 Hrs. I do not have any apps running. I just have Trillian on which is a chat app. It also has Push messaging. It reset my phone to factory defaults even today but same thing. I also do not have Wifi or Bluetooth on. Main question is what can I do to increase the battery life from 100% to 0 % in less than 12 hrs.

Last week or two my phone battery has been draining much faster. Also the phone gets very hot, bot not where the battery is but below the battery. Also last few weeks many apps have grown more and more sluggish. This phone is so problemattic. I have done two previous factory resets in last 12 months

Any way to make sure all notifications stay in sync sound and vibrate wise? I have always just used the volume keys but with the settings icon allowing you to change different volumes for different notifications it is causing problems.
I think the ability to change individual notifications is a solid option, I would also like a way to change them in sync. There are time where I think I have silenced the phone and a certain notification still has sound. I guess a widget could work but I usually like to only use the keys.
So we all know that its a good idea to only recharge you Iphone when the battery level is low right? But say your iphone is at 20% and you want to get it down to say 2% before charging it. Is there an app that will quickly drain the power to prolong battery life?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I get on my S6 at night when it's dark, it always seems so bright. I discovered that when I disable auto brightness I can turn the brightness down to a more comfortable level. Outside of this one use case, auto brightness works fine for me. Is this normal? Is there a way to make auto brightness go more dim when it's really dark?
View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently com.motorola.service.main has been draining my battery rapidly. The phone itself seems to be running hotter. My usage patterns have not changes, but my data usage has increased. I've used 1.6G in 6 days when last month I was hard pressed to use 2G total.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI posted about a problem with my battery losing up to 30% battery on reboot but got no answers so am hoping somebody will test their phone for meWhen my battery drops to just below 50%, if I reboot by pressing and holding the power button for about 8 seconds, on reboot, my battery has dropped to as little as 13%, even if there was 48% left prior to rebooting.I originally thought this was happening after tethering but it has turned out, it does it regardless of how much or how little I use the phone and even without tetheringI am on stock 2.3.4 XEU, manufacture unlocked and wondered if some kind soul would be kind enought to see if they can replicate the problem. It needs to be the 9100, complete stock and not rooted really as I am trying to determine whether it's a hardware issue or software issue.

View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone have any issues with the battery life on this thing? I just picked mine up from Bell about a week ago, and standby lasts maybe 48 hours. Its rated @ 250 hours and although I wouldn't expect to see that, this is a little ridiculous. 48 hours is sitting only. If I make a couple of calls, its basically dead in a day. This is with GPS / WiFi and Bluetooth disabled. The only aftermarket programs installed are Barcode ( which doesn't run when off ) and TaskPanel which allows me to kill background processes.
What I notice is that if I run TaskPanel and kill everything, and then the phone goes into standby. When I wake it back up and run TaskPanel again, I see Alarm Clock and Calender are running in the background. Neither have any stored events and I don't know if they are kicking in on wakeup, or right before standby and thus running in the background and killing the battery faster.
so today i noticed that my phone while its in charge which is very frequent, battery life is not good, is loosing battery power, thats only if i use the phone heavily, for example the phone was 62% charged and i was playing asphalt 6 for 15 minutes and the battery % dropped to 51%! is this normal, i am using a stock firmware its rather old, but kies doesnt give me any updates.i got 2.3.3 gingerbreadbaseband I9100XXKF1Kernel 2.6.35.7-I9100JPKF2-CL292610 root@DELL102#2i know that im using an old firmware and kernel and i have to update, is the issue that i mentioned a known bug in the earlier firmwares or, do i have a faulty battery, or perhaps its normal and happens to you guys too.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI received my SGS2 yesterday and, as I have not had the chance to transfer all my data over as yet, I have left the phone on idle since it is first charge. I thought some idle battery usage data would be quite rare and potentially interesting to potential buyers.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've only had my SGSII a week or so but have been very unimpressed with the battery life I've been achieving - not even a full working day.I've been trying to work out what's going on, but this morning things really seemed to come to a head. I'd charge overnight but within an hour and a half of disconnecting the phone almost half the charge had gone & the back of it felt very warm to touch.
Looking at the battery stats and using the Watchdog program it looks like the Samsung Email app is to blame. I also saw the phone was marked as 'awake' much of the time, presumably due to a partial wakelock from the Mail app (battery history in Gingerbread doesn't seem to actually have partial wakelock as a category but this certainly looks like it). I've got three accounts setup in it - 2x Microsoft Exchange and 1x IMAP. Refresh times were initially push (MSEx 1)/manual (MSEx 2)/15 min (IMAP). I've tried changing them all to 15 min or to manual but it doesn't seem to improve matters. In case it is of relevance, the MSEx ones are imposing device & storage encryption as part of their policies (I've no choice in this).
-how can i disable low battery notification? its just stupid, i know when battery is empty.
-i made a folder and put applications in it. how can i rearrange the applications in the folder?
-i have a poor connection to the wireless router with wifi. how can i change that? can i change the range of the router to get a better connection?
when I have tethered for a while, if I reboot the phone afterwards, my battery drops by around 30% just on the reboot. For example, if I have 44% left after tethering and then reboot by pressing and holding the power button until the phone reboots, by the time it's finished booting (which isn't long) it has dropped to 14% and it tells me to plug the charger in. If I don't plug the charger in (this is a real mystery this bit), every few minutes, the battery will keep increasing by 1%. This is without really using the phone much that it does this. It will keep regaining that 1% every few mins until I reboot the phone again and it remains at whatever it's got up to during that time.
I'm ringing Samsung tomorrow as I am pretty sure this isn't normal behaviour. However, I would like to ask if somebody might be kind enough to tether for about half an hour or so with their s2, then reboot (using power button and holding it til phone auto reboots) and tell me if you also lose more power. And then of course, see if it starts to creep up again.I know that's quite a big ask and would only advise somebody with truly unlimited data to try it as tethering consumes a lot.Bear in mind that tethering also drains battery anyway so make sure you have at least 60% prior to trying this just in case you lose the power too.
