I just bought a Samsung Impact (T794) without a data plan. Is there a way to copy downloaded Java games into the Games Cell Folder through the USB?Whenever I try, I can only copy it to the other folders on the phone or Mini-SD card and the phone will not recognize/run the program in Java.
downloaded a few things from ovi store but when installing it says something like internet settings must be able to accept java ( or something along those lines)how can i install these games and apps ?
I have a problem with my E72, I used to install Java games but the phone always shows me this error after few days from installation "System Error, Please contact the retailer" and when I stopped to install Java games this error disappeared and never shows.. But now there is a new firmware for my E72 "71.004" and I installed it but I am still afraid to install Java games as if this error appears again it will lead me to Hard Reset via *#7370# and I dun want hard reset my phone..

Iv just tried putting some songs on my phone via SD card. My laptop can read all the media (using widows 7) but my nokia 5230 can't find any thing (I know the phone is quite old LOL) iv had no problems up until now and reeealy need some songs.
How to ID or characterize what java apps will work in general?
Indications are that this phone is a b*****d not-Android-but-not-nonAndroid child. My emerging fear is that nothing will work on it unless I want to code it up myself.
To get my feet wet, I thought I'd try a calculator. I put the .jar file on the top-level dir of the uSD card and waxed optimistic as the phone's Java App mgr found and installed it. Then the calculator app took me through TWENTY different display layout arrangements without finding a single usable arrangement.
So i transferred my whole music library to S6 and happily listened to it via the stock music player. Then much later when I had downloaded some new apps and edited settings, I returned to the music player to see that all my songs had vanished. I still have them on the memory and Poweramp can still find them, but not the stock music player?
For a long time AT&T nee Cingular has locked me out of their MEdia (AT&T) Mall, and prevented me from running desirable apps by signing them with a "secret" certificate only available on their branded phones.Well, thanks to a2uploader and the recent acquisition of a locked AT&T phone I have been able to snag these Preferred and Trusted Java signing root certificates. As well as the entire AT&T customization package, which gives me a good template to play with my own if I so desire. (As an aside, I can also now download from the AT&T Mall using a Firefox add-on which allows me to spoof a particular supported phone's User-Agent string.)I digress. When I sent these certificates to my unlocked K850i it places them in the Trusted Cert store rather than the Java Cert store and the apps still have problems running and fail to install using the signed JAD. I have not tried it, but I assume my K790a will behave the same way. Now, the XML which defines the AT&T customizations references the certificates as well as the proper store location for them. Is this my only way to force a cert into the Java store? This also leads into how can I install client certificates?
The HTC Music player cannot find the songs that I downloaded from Google Play Music? I can't find them either using ES File Explorer although they always show up in the Google "Play Music" app. I've configured the songs that I downloaded from Google "Play Music" to download to the phone and they show as "Pinned" in the "Play Music" app. Lastly I confirmed that the music is on the phone by playing them with "Play Music" while the phone is is airplane mode. I want the default HTC music player to play these songs since that player is available from the lock screen and blink feed.
I just returned from a two-day road trip and used my iPhone's Music app on shuffle for my soundtrack. I'd like to see a list of the songs that were played (in order) but can't seem to find a log or history. I went to the last song played and tapped the Back button until it reached the first song but I errantly tapped it one more time and it took me to the main menu and I couldn't return to my songs in the order they were played.
Just upgraded from an N8 to the 808. All good but I am getting the unable to obtain licence message for downloaded programmes from the Iplayer. I have I installed the WMDRM DLA plug in but no joy. Checked my N8 and this is still able to acquire the licence.
I updated the E63 firmware to the latest version (v410). But after that, the existing some of my previously installed JAVA apps are no longer showing in Installations (although they are shown as installed in App Manager). And the JAVA apps which are shown, cannot be launched. That is, I click on them but nothing happens. Also I cannot uninstall any JAVA apps and also cannot install any JAVA apps.
For some reason my phone will not complete downloads from the Ovi store. That's a pity because some of the stuff on offer is really attractive! Is there no way to simply have the apps downloaded to my PC and then transfer them (as .sis files?) by cable to my phone for installation? I can't find any option on the downloads pages which allows this.
I am wondering where to get freeware document viewers, I just came off using an E series device & it has QuickOffice build in.On N900 only Adobe PDF reader/Viewer is included, why isn't QuickOffice? I want free apps not trial apps, best regards.
I've had my 5800 for a few months now and love the phone. I downloaded a lot of music onto it when I first bought it and it has been working fine. I have recently moved house and no longer have the internet at home (and cant use it at work as we cant install things like that), and I know I should be able to download the music directly from the phone. I've tried to do this and get as far as the 'My Downloads' section showing the new track I am trying to download, but that's it the phone doesn't seem to store it.
I've tried different memory cards so I know that isn't the problem. I've tried formatting one of the meory cards and retrying it but it still doesn't work. I've tried going into the Applications then into the Memory Card (also tried the Phone itself) to see if it had maybe stored the track under something like images, but it isn't anywhere. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm not planning on getting the internet at home so I really need to be able to do this via the phone itself.
Is it just me or is the downloading of apps via WiFi really slow? Works fine on mobile network and browsing the web on WiFi works normally too, it's just downloading apps that's slow. Just reset my phone to fix my GPS (which seems to work now), at this rate it'll be a long time before my apps are downloaded again.
Main issue is that all attempts at downloading games/apps via the onboard "Store" app end up failing. Click on download, shows "downloading" briefly but almost immediately shows an error that download has failed. This happens with ALL apps in the Store.
