Nokia :: N900 Sign In Skype / Wrong Username Or Password

i was able to sign in my skype account on my n900 before and used it couple of times.but now whenever i try to sign in,it says wrong username or password,which i dont understand at all.i used that same username and password 2 minutes later on skype website and the software on my pc and it worked perfectly fine.Anyone encountering this same problem.btw my skype is preloaded in n900 and i sing in through voip service in settings.

Although I can sign in Ovi from the internet with my username and passowrd, I cannot do the same from my mobile (already connected through WiFi). When using the same username and passwrod I get the message: "sign-in failed. check your username and password"

I can sign in via my computer using my blackberry id username and password but cannot sign in with the same username and password through my blackberry bold 9900. All i get is " unable to log in to blackberry account".. I have requested a reset but not getting anything back from Blackberry.

Why have they removed the ability to have a space in your email username. Was there on the 5800XM.. Must be more ppl than me that have corporate email with usernames with spaces in. Anyone know how to solve this? (and nope I can't remove the space)

First of all, I cannot seem to get the touted video call working through skype. It is a neat feature and I would like to use it. I have read other complain about the poor quality of the webcam, but I cannot seem to get it started, period. How is that done? I don't see any option to make a video call and / or start video during a call. Is it a defective phone, or is it something else?
Secondly, T-mobile lets you dial #646# in order to check your balance, yet the phone says this is an invalid number. Is there any workaround for this?

I purchased a new N900 from the Nokia prioirty dealers in India.I checked for the pre installed Skype in VoIP and IM accounts. It is not there. There are only OVI, Gtalk, Jabber, Facebook and SIP accounts. There is no New menu coming up anywhere on the screen to create the SKype account. when I tried loading Skype from the internet through Wifi of N900, It is indicating that the download cannot be sent to this mobile number. My service provider is Airtel.

I have been happily using N900 for Skype video calling.When I first received my phone I was told by my phone company that N900 supports video calling without using Skype(using mobile numbers to other compatible phones via the 3G network)My partner also has a N900 and is not able to make Video Calling either, where when we both had an E72 we had no problems at all.I called Nokia 2 months ago and they said that in Australia, they will have video calling to mobile numbers very soon for the N900. Can anyone at Nokia tell me when this is happening? This was one of the main reasons I bought the N900 as it is promoted to have video calling on 3G as well as Internet (Skype or other).I am keen to use video calling as I work with clients who don't necessarily have Skype, but use video calling nonetheless.

My N900 can connect to the internet (I can search in goodle or download and install packages with no issues) but it cannot connect to Skype account. Error message: Authentication failed. It was connecting to Skype just fine before the update. I tried to re-enter the password, of course. I do not want to delete the Skype account and create a new one just yet: I have all my contacts set up already and I am afraid I will loose those merges between Skype and the phone's address book if I delete the existing Skype account. Maybe anyone has any suggestions on what can I try first?

I'm having a problem with Skype on my N900 (PR1.2).
The vast majority of my Skype contacts are fine. I can Skype Instant Message them with no problem.
However, there are a couple where when I try and send an IM, I get the message:
messaging_fi_unable_to_deliver_message_contact_unauthorized
I have tried removing the contact (from both my and the remote contact's Skype), and I've readded from my N900 and asked for authorization, and its been accepted, but I still get the error message when I try and IM.
When the remote contact IMs me the message never turns up, but they don't get an error message.
I've also tried it the other way around, where we delete the contacts on each other's Skype, and then the remote contact has asked for authorization, and I've accepted on the N900 - but still the same message.
The remote user us on Windows 7, using Skype 4.2.0.169. It has worked previously, but all of a sudden, it stopped for no obvious reason. This is happening with two of my contacts, who are in two different locations on different versions of Windows. Oddly, Skype voice calls work okay!
I can IM all my other Skype contacts no problem.

I have seen from some other postings that there is supposed to be a root password that is common to the N900. However when I try to use it, it doesn't seem to work. I see a lot of people suggesting the use of rootsh, but surely the same functionality should be achievable by just using sudo su root? So, if there is one root password for the N900, isn't that a security hazard and consequently we should all be changing ours to something we choose?

I am trying to transfer music to my N900 device but Ovi Music tells me it is connected in the wrong mode. It says" unplug your device and reconnect it, a menu will appear, and depending on the model, use one of the following: Media Player, Printing and Media and Media Transfer. The problem is that no menu appears on the screen of the N900. What should I do?

I entered the unlock pattern wrong a few times that my phone would allow me over ride this by letting me sign in with my gmail acc..phone wont let me sign in with my gmail and keeps saying invalid username or password but I can somehow use the exact same username and password to log on on my PC.

No matter what I do in setting up my primary account on my iphone it keeps telling me my username and/or password is incorrect. I'm 100% sure it's correct. The account was working perfectly and nothing changed. I still use the email on my desk top so I know it is valid. It may even fetch the mail occasionally.

Today I tried accessing my email accounts, entered into internet mail account, suddenly my user name and password were blank and I totally forogt them both. I never needed them in the past whenever adding or removing email account, therefore, I never memorized or wrote them down.I am totally out from eamil settings becuase I forgot my internet mail account user name & password.

My friend set up my email on my Blackberry when I received it about 18 months ago. I am now trying to set up a second email address and am doing the following: Setup Setup Wizard Email Setup - this then says Select an email setup option of which there is only one - I want to create or add an email address Click next next page - After you click next the Blackberry Internet Service setup application opens. After you finish setting up your email press the menu key and click close Click next next page - exisiting users type user name and password.
I have tried every thing I can think of that we would have used but no joy. How do I reset or find out what both are?
