Apr 13, 2010I have new N900. whenever I used to open the Application manager and was looking for updates, it was starting to check but after some time i was getting msg that there is some problem in some catalogue. But now a days whenever I open application manager it immediately gives the message "Operation Failed". But the window remains open. Even download from OVI was also not allowed before and after this message started coming.

Jan 31, 2010Every time I try and open my PDF document which I need for my studies it doesnt work and I get the messages : "operation failed" "not enough memory" . I have 70mb free on phone and 7gb free on the memory card, and the pdf document is 33mb. Is this device really that bad that it cant handle that? It handles the music and videos no problem though. pretty distressing to think that my "business phone" as its billed as , is infact nothing of the sort.

Aug 12, 2010I recently my micro memory card (512mb supplied with phone t-mobile,2 yrs ago) seems to have gremlins! When I try to move pics, video clips from images, video clips to memory card it now always says operation failed! I have loads of memory left on card, no password set. I am reluctant to format card as I have lots of clips and pics, thinking of buying new card? But do u guys think its phone problem or faulty memory card?

Mar 7, 2010I am having some problems with my phone which I think might be related to gstreamer.When I open the camera cover and the camera tries to launch I get the error message "Operation failed". Media player also does not work, I can see the media files but when I try playing them nothing happens.
I used gstreamer to capture images for an application that I created and it has always worked fine until recently, when I started noticing the problems with the camera and media player.Between the time everything was working and now, this is what I have done:
-installed OpenGL ES 2
-installed Qt
-copied a bunch of screenshots from the phone to my Mac (i think I just did it through bluetooth but I might have used the usb cable)
Here is what I have done to try to fix the problem:
-connect the phone via usb to a windows computer, rightclick the n900 icon and error check (as recommended on this forum)
-update the firmware using app manager
-reboot
-type dmesg in the terminal after opening the lens cover - that did not output any errors
Could this be related to anything other than the gstreamer? If it is the gstreamer, should I try reinstalling it?

May 7, 2011I have the nokia pc suite 7.1.51.0 and am loading up the browser to copy the files from phone to PC but get this message "operation failed: the item is copyright protected. The files where these show up are the ringtones which are in .mid file on the 3205i and the wallpaper image that are in PNG format, not sure how I got them on there I think I downloaded them off the internet from my phone...

That was in june and the bbm+net was activated till september.Now i have come to my colg in MP and the BBM stoped working after a week. Oct 16, 2011my x3 - 02 phone that keeps on restarting is that I am also having a problem with this phone wherein I cant use the phone memory in my contacts.
This is the problem, I am using the phone memory for my phone and when it is set to that It will automatically switch over to SIM memory and if you will switch it back to phone memory it will show "operation failed" in the menu " name" and my favorite contact will not work either. the names in my contact will not appear. After that, I have tried to reset the phone and it will work in few hours but will have the same problem again and of course i will reset it again and will set the phone again to my preferred settings. I have tried to update the firmware and still doing the same thing.

Jul 2, 2010I have a N900 and tried to update it via pc cause as far as i understood it is unable to update itself, but the update process goes as far as 51.7/51.8 Mb instead of 187.9Mb and i tried everything like restarting the updater, restarting the pc reinstalling the updater almost everything except reinstalling windows on my pc and start all over again.

Jan 20, 2010I made updated to the latest N900 firmware but the installation stalled on the last 1 sec. Now phone won't boot. I already got a dektop charger and charged the phone and reflash with the 51.1 (pr1.1) update but nothing happens.Tried reflashing couple of times but I always got the same result on the cmd.My OS is Vista 32 bit. May 4, 2010When i click on my apps or games menu it says operation failed. i was looking through the forums and found a solution except that solution was for when you could actually access the folder and only when you select a specific app/game it said operation failed. i cant access the folder at all. is there anyway at all to fix this problem for free without having to resort to that wotanserver thing? im not being cheap, i just think its rubbish to be charged anything at all to fix a problem like this when it is the manufacturers fault for selling faulty phones which all have a common problem which isn't caused by a users ill-treatment. and another question, why cant i seem to find software to flash it myself without that wotan thing? i mean, surely its just software that you run. someone must have cracked it?

BB Torch :: Camera Not Working - Built In Media Repair Failed
Jan 14, 2012camera not working - message says there is not enough available space - delete some pictures- insert media card. Also all photos stored in Camera pictures file have all been lost. Had to reboot phone and an 'Built in media storage not accessible due to detected errors'. Asked to repair said yes and message says that 'Built in Media repair failed'. How I can get the camera back working. There should be loads of storage space as not much stored on phone.

1) I am unable to work out how to bluetooth mp3 files to another mobile. Ok with videos and pictures as option is there but nothing for mp3's.
2) Can't pair the phone with car kit. I have the password which is the same as previous one but when pairing n900 I get an error message saying 'authentication failed'.

Feb 12, 2010I just received my N900 like a few hrs ago and I was testing the features but when I tried playing one of the songs on the phone a message popped up saying "unable to play media. Audio is in use by another application". I didn't have any other application opened at all I also tried to use the camera and the same message popped up, still no other application was opened.Another problem I noticed was when I receive a call even after pressing receive call the call still does not pick up...still rings on the other end but when I press end call it hangs up on the caller sending the call to voicemail. But making outgoing calls is no problem.I'm a nokia fan and loved all my past nokia phones last one was the N95 and still is working fine after 4yrs this is the first time I'm having such problems and am disappointed especially since the phone is new.

Apr 20, 2010I bought my N900 2 weeks back. My GPS is not working. If I try to open Nokia Maps it gives me a messages as follows
1. "Looking for GPS"
2. "Downloading Data/Looking for GPS"
3. "Looking for GPS"
4. "No GPS Signal"
I did lot of readings on this but couldn't find a fix. This is reported as a bug in Maemo Bugzilla.But I'm confused with the comments from other users in these forums.So please update me if this is a general bug, or is it something wrong with my mobile.
Nokia :: N900 Bluetooth Not Working
May 28, 2010My bluetooth was working fine in the beginning, but now I'm unable to start the bluetooth and/or pair it to any devices.I setup from the bluetooth menu the bluetooth on, visible and name it but, when I click "save" button nothing happens. When I re-enter the menu all the settings are gone, and the bluetooth has never started.
I just downloaded today/yesterday the latest maemo update and was hoping this would fix the problem but the problem still exists.
