i have a problem with installing the only bluetooth driver. The phone works well and transfers all data by bluetooth, but Windows 7 shows me an error on this page.Do you have a solution for my problem?
know if Nokia will allow the N9 to be upgradable to the Windows version running on the new Lumia 800? The Lumia looks suspiciously very similar to the N9 so I assume potentially this may be a possibiliy. My wife has the N9 & we both really like the phone but the MeeGo OS is no longer supported so a dead end. Syncing contacts/calender entries is also a pain on the N9.I'm using the E7 as I use it for my daily work, at least I can use a real keyboard & can sync contacts/calendars with outlook but I do prefer the user interface & operation of the N9.
Even though I can use BT fine though PC suite - Whenever I connect my phone it tries to find drivers for three BT peripheral devices - and fails to do so. Is there any way to resolve this?
I installed the official version of Windows 8 Pro and now my E6 will not pair with my PC anymore. When I was using Windows 7 Home Premium there was no issues after the update, Nokia Suite sync everytime.
i am not able to connect my N8 to OVI Suite since I installed the Windows 8 Consumer Preview operating system. My USB port is working fine as I am able to charge and connect in media transfer mode. It just doesn't work when the OVI suite mode is enabled.how I can work around this please. I use OVI suite a lot as I do most of my messaging through the PC. When will Nokia release a new edition of the OVI Suite that will work well with Windows 8. On once occasion, I was able to reinstall OVI suite by right clicking and selecting Windows 7 in compatibility settings and by running the program as administrator. However, even that doesn't seem to be working anymore.
I was excited at first about the new Lumia line, and anxious to try out Windows Mango. After having used it, I much prefer my N8 with Belle! I have been using Symbian since I got my first Nokia which was a 9300 Communicator. Please Nokia, don't abandon our beloved OS!! Weaknesses aside, I love it! How does everyone else feel about this? Please reply with your preference...Symbian or Windows?
Secondary to that, I have used my fm transmitter religiously for years and was happy to see that you included that feature on my next phone, the 808.
When we connect nokia N8 to media transfer mode to windows 7 then blue screen error shows in "windows apc_index_mismatch". We are not able to transfer music to my N8 from nokia music.
As I make the connection via bluetooth, usually the phone's UI becomes unresponsive for about 5 min and after that it works. Can't lock it, can't do nothing, I just have to wait until it I can use it again. It ain't because of the headset as I use two different, BH-904 and BH-505.Getting a bit frustrated with this but don't want to take it to the Nokia Care until I have tried everything.
I've been experiencing poor battery life on my Nokia 5800 XM recently. Sometimes on a full charge I could only get a day to a day and a half of standby time with minimal usage (2-3 texts, no calls and 5 photographs). I put this down to an old battery and ordered a new one.In the meantime we went to my parents-in-law and the battery lasted 5 days on a full charge including a reasonable amount of web browsing via WLAN.Got back home and the battery died a couple of days later despite being fully charged.
Put in a brand new battery, charged it up and used the phone - 2.5 days later it was dead (minimal texts and a couple of photos). Charged it again - 2 days standby before dead.Downloaded the power profile app - everything seemed to be fine. The phone idled nicely on standby with minimal power drain. Then I used the bluetooth and everything became clear. After connecting to OVI for a minute or two, downloading my photos then closing OVI and disabling the bluetooth on the phone, I noticed my power consumption didn't go back down. I was getting regular peaks of around 150ma and the battery life was considerably reduced.
If I left the bluetooth disabled and power cycled the phone, it would settle down to minimal usage. The moment bluetooth was enabled, the problem reocurred.I then backed the phone up, totally wiped the sd card and reinstalled from scratch.Exactly the same problem - fine until BT enabled then even when disabled, the phone started drawing excess current on idle.
After upgrading to Symbian Anna, my N8 cannot pair to my laptop via bluetooth. This same phone could pair with the laptop earlier. My E6-00 can connect to the same laptop without any hassles via Bluetooth.
Since the belle update i cant bluetooth my songs to a different phone its all on but no option to send anymore has it been removed ? Also what happened to the file manager and the office cant seem to find them.
One of the most desired features of this N8 phone for me was the ability to use bt keyboard and mouse. Now I bought the keyboard and mouse and what happened, nothing. Both devices are found when searching bt -devices. Keyboard doesn't even go to the pairing, it halts to password questions (where I type 0000). Then message:" Keyboard cannot be connected). With mouse, I can get one step further. When prompting password, I type 0000, the mouse gets paired, but when I try to connect, message comes:" Bluetooth connection cannot be created". Or similar cause the message is in finnish language. But I think you got the point. Items I have purchased are:
- Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 - Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000
if it is possible to have automatic connection for a Bluetooth headset? My Plantonics Voyager Pro worked fine with my E71 just enable bluetooth on the phone and it connected. On my N8 I have to manually connect to the headset everytime, which is a pain.
Am I doing something wrong?, or is this feature not available on the N8?
i have nokia n8 but when i wanna send any ting via bluetooth i can't go to my photo and press on it and stay hold anew menu appear then i select send there's no via Bluetooth option avail
After updating to ANNA, my phone does not disconnect from my cars built in hands free kit. It worked without issue before the update. The phone does not close the connection. The only way to close the connection is to restart the phone, as the bluetooth connection hangs if I try and do it from the connection tab. I have done a hard reset on my phone with no success. I have also tried all the other deleting the connection and re-pairing suggestions out there, with no successful result.
Anyone having issues with bluetooth connectivity and a soloution as I cannot get my N8 to connect to a 2005 BMW with factory fitted bluetooth not parrot or similar.
I ride my bike with the N8 used as a navigation aid sometimes. With my bluetooth headset connected, I am able to receive calls and make calls if necessary. However, I am not able to hear the navigational instructions. Is this function available, or I have not set the correct settings, or it needs an upgrade etc?
Is there any way to route the voice directions from Ovi Maps to bluetooth headphones?
I tried the other day, with music playing from my N8 through my bluetooth headphones the voice directions were still only coming out of the handset itself!
Not much use if I'm using the satnav whilst riding a bicycle! That was one really useful thing I found about my HTC Desire - it would send the directions via the bluetooth headphones if connected, even if music was playing! It would pause the music, say the directions, then start playing again! Sadly then the battery would die before I reached my destination
After I update my N8-00 to Symbian Anna, my phone don't make sound notification after receiving file via bluetooth. I tried to solve this issue in Settings section and Bluetooth section, but without success.
N8 does not support changing a Bluetooth headset's volume via the phone's hardware controls and software buttons: There's no changes in volume until you reach the mute position. All volume control has to be done via the headset's hardware controls. Quite nagging if you e.g. like to decrease the volume of navigation instructions while driving with your headset on: Navigation voice hammers to your ears.
I'm unable to connect to internet over the phone via bluetooth connection. But i'n able to connect to internet via usb cable. I believe it might be a bug as i'm able to use bluetooth to sync my contact to PC and transfer photo to other phones
I'm having problems connecting OVI to a Nokia N8-00 handset via Bluetooth. The Add New Device wizard is able to detect the phone but when selecting it from the list and proceeding it stays on "Checking the Bluetooth capabilities of your device." for some 20 seconds after which it eventually fails with the error of "Failed to connect to your device. Problems occurred while authorizing the Bluetooth connection between your device and computer."
I've verified that both devices are configured as authorized by their respective counterpart. Also tried to remove the pairing from both the laptop and phone and re-pair them again - same problem. I am able to sync the phone with OVI via USB no problem. I am also able to use my OVI with another Nokia phone (E72) via Bluetooth without any issues. This points me to a possible problem with Bluetooth on the N8 phone itself but I don't have any way to prove it.
i am not able to send and receive files on my nokia 701 through Bluetooth...except one of my another nokia c5-03 on which i am only able to send the files but cannot receive from that also.
I can send or receive data to only nokia phones. I can search the other mobile through Bluetooth but when I tried to connect (send or receive) which will ask for a verification code like 6 digit numbers like xxx xxx.
Nokia 5230 my Windows 7 32 bit is not able to load the Bluetooth Peripheral Device driver.Unfortunately its not available on the automatic Microsoft Update too.
