As an example, when saving your position it seems that the name used on the favourite is taken from the map and if the map is not updated with the correct adress I need to change this (this is a fact with my home adress). Jun 22, 2011i just updated firmware and ovi maps. i tried synchonizing my favorites to my phone but it says "Connection failed. Please try again." It's doesn't even bother asking me to connect. I'm already connected by wifi when i try this and it still doesn't work. It might have to do with the way i set up my phone to only use wifi as I do not have a data plan. My old n8 synchronized just fine but not this one.

Jan 5, 2013When my Lumia is connected to the car via bluetooth, its connected with both audio profiles, Voice (Phone Call Audio) and Music (A2DP).So when connected and Nokia Drive is running the audio is sent to A2DP to then be sent to the aux input of the car stereo. This is all well and good if you have the radio on and AUX selected. But if you are listening to FM radio or a CD etc you don't hear any voice guidance from Nokia Maps.
This is a question directed at Nokia Maps Developers. Can a setting be created that allows you to select audio output via bluetooth? If you could select it to go via the Voice/Phone call Profile, like for instance the Speech input works on Windows Phone, for reading/replying to text messages, then when ever there is a direction to be spoken, the car bluetooth would treat it as a phone call, cut sound to the radio and speak the direction through the speakers no matter what the radio was outputting.If the above doesn't make sense then please ask me as this would be a worth while setting to be developed.

Aug 3, 2010I have a Nokia 5230 (RM-588) with firmware 20.0.005 and Ovi Maps 3.04. Memory card is Kingston 8GB. I downloaded maps that I needed and everything is working OK from that point.
Here is the problem: I search for an address (offline), Ovi Maps finds it, I rename it and save it to Favourites. I repeat that with some other addresses. Then I turn off the Ovi Maps and navigation and after I start it again, my folder Favourites - Places is empty. Any idea why the Favourites are not saved ?
Nokia :: Lost Favorites After Reformatted And Reinstalled Apps To N97 - How To Get Back Favorites
Jul 28, 2010After an issue with my N97 where I was unable to do any backups from the phone to the internal memory card, I reformatted and reinstalled the apps to my N97 (making sure I did a backup using PC Suite before hand).
Upon restoring the PC Suite image, I found that it didn't restore the list of favourites which have meant that I've lost them all - I'm sure I remember that the backup to memory card did make a copy of them, but as I wasn't able to do this, this wasn't a possible solution .....
Luckily, Google Maps have most of my starred items (favourites) saved, (barring the one I managed to unstar by accident), but it appears as if Google doesn't store the actual co-ordinates and doesn't allow them to be exported ... So in short - is there anyway at all I can get my favourites back ?
