I cannot save any favorite places or routes in my Nokia E52 , I can save them in my nokia account but when I sync it with my nokia nothing happens . Before the last two software updates it worked and I had a lot of places saved , but after that they just disappeared and since than I can't use this function .
View 4 Repliesi just updated firmware and ovi maps. i tried synchonizing my favorites to my phone but it says "Connection failed. Please try again." It's doesn't even bother asking me to connect. I'm already connected by wifi when i try this and it still doesn't work. It might have to do with the way i set up my phone to only use wifi as I do not have a data plan. My old n8 synchronized just fine but not this one.

1) OviSuite is a program to synchronizing some things and download Maps.
2) Ovi Maps is a program that runs in the 5230 to do navigation and synchronization of maps
3) MapsOvi is a site in the Internet, to create and synchronize favorites and Routes.
I make a little basic test with the Maps for OVI Site and my 5230 and after creating some favorites places and routes in the Internet Site, I can not find a button to save and make the transfer of routes and favorites from the Map Ovi suite to my phone, using Bluetooth or USB cable.
There is a way to make the transfer directly from my PC to the 5230, using a USB cable or Bluetooth? Or the only way to transfer the favorites and routes created on the Maps Ovi to the phone is the real time synchronization of both, using the Internet connection on the way of my phone and spending a lot of $$$ to do this?
After hard reset of my nokia e6 belle, when I try to download maps NSuite shows that maps are downloaded, but after I disconnect and reconnect phone, NSuite show that I don't have maps on phone and offer me to install them again. Maploader on phone doesn't recognise my wifi, even before. I tried to reinstall phone belle software, maps application are updated, tried different computers.. It seems like NSuite don't save maps on mass memory.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia 5230 (RM-588) with firmware 20.0.005 and Ovi Maps 3.04. Memory card is Kingston 8GB. I downloaded maps that I needed and everything is working OK from that point.
Here is the problem: I search for an address (offline), Ovi Maps finds it, I rename it and save it to Favourites. I repeat that with some other addresses. Then I turn off the Ovi Maps and navigation and after I start it again, my folder Favourites - Places is empty. Any idea why the Favourites are not saved ?
Maps 3.06. How do you edit Favorites? For example, if one of the Favorite's coordinates is wrong and you wanted to edit it, how? I found I can only change the name of the Favorite but nothing else.

Its having way to many issues.Anyway, after updating the Ovi Maps application on the phone I tried to synch my Ovi Maps favorites as I have done many times before. The process starts, but then just stops 10% on the way giving the message "Synch was not completed". I tried with my old N97 and the same message there. Which leads me to think its the service and not my devices.I live in Norway, so maybe its a regional thing, but if you guys can just make a quick test and se if you can sync your ovi maps favorites today. Or if you get the same error message as me.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a N85 Navi which I bought less than a year ago. I updated this week the maps and the application (latest version)and added one voice for the navigation. After this update when I open the Maps and select Settings and Navigation (to change i.e. voice), Maps closes automatically without any error messages. I can open all the other settings sub-menus. Any ideas why this is happening? Do I have the to re-install the application, maps and voices?

i have maps 3.04v? i used Nokia Suite to transfer maps of Bosnia and Hercegovina, Croatia and Serbia. Nokia Suite also transferred Europe base map. But i think i can only view base map of Europe. I cant view detiled maps of cityies.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a nokia E7 (Blue) US Version but I am using it in Canada. I updated it to Symbian Anna and so on. Everytime I try to add new maps from the cell phone itself it says (downloading list, please wait) this takes FOREVER, then i try to do it by nokia ovi suite, well that is even worse, sometimes it says THERE SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH CONNECTING THE ONLINE MAPS, sometimes it says some crazy errors (COULDNT CONNECT TO THE SERVICE, ETCC). I deleted the E:/cities folder + QF file, I opened the Ovi map apps and they got restored and so on but still nothing happens. Is there any other way to add some map I mean MANUALLY? I need the USA and Canada map, (voice guidande male us), I read some discussion from Ovikudy on how to do it manually but i need theses files.
BTW, I regret buying this Nokia E7 big time I should have listened to my friends and go to ANDROID. I know nokia is killing symbian but please fix those MAP serverS.
I've been trying to use the GPS navigation through NOKIA MAPS but it doesn't work, in my phone's screen appears "the license has expired" or something like that. I'd like to know what i've to do to make it work. Because Iv'e heard that tthe GPS navigation in other nokia models is free.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter an issue with my N97 where I was unable to do any backups from the phone to the internal memory card, I reformatted and reinstalled the apps to my N97 (making sure I did a backup using PC Suite before hand).
Upon restoring the PC Suite image, I found that it didn't restore the list of favourites which have meant that I've lost them all - I'm sure I remember that the backup to memory card did make a copy of them, but as I wasn't able to do this, this wasn't a possible solution .....
Luckily, Google Maps have most of my starred items (favourites) saved, (barring the one I managed to unstar by accident), but it appears as if Google doesn't store the actual co-ordinates and doesn't allow them to be exported ... So in short - is there anyway at all I can get my favourites back ?
