Sometimes I need to know the GPS coordinates where I am and send them to another phone.
How do I search for a place by coordinates in Nokia maps? I have the latest version 2.5. The customer support says there multiple formats to use like:N59.4071 E17.778259,4071 17,7782But neither of this works for me. The first one gives "No result found", the second one gives a hit on the street Carrera 59 in Colombia, on the other side of the earth.

Used weather widget there, and it showed me USA local weather for Wayne, near Philadelphia.I am home now in Novi Sad and weather widget still shows "Weather for Wayne'' and the temperatures and forecast are for Novi Sad. I tried to go put get GPS lock on Novi Sad in Drive. No change. I can not remove ''Wayne'' in any way I tried. I am having correct forecast and current temperature but I can not remove name of the location.

I have tried input the coordinates directly under Search but I end up in North America (while looking for places in Northern Europe). I guess the coordinates automatically becomes N and W, while I need N and E, eg. N 57 27.059 E 018 24.386. How to get it right?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMaps 3.08 does not let me calibrate my compass (at least not by ticking once or twice at the compass). By consequence, while navigating it does not orientate the display with the top in the forward direction. I found a workaround by using a separate compass application, calibrate the compass there, and then Maps works perfect. There must be a easier way to calibrate the compass from within the Maps application.

View 6 Replies View RelatedNavigation used to work fine on my X6, but since having to do a hard reset of the phone (due to other problems!) I cannot use the Navigation.
Everytime I get the error 'navigation cannot start at this location' and it doesn't seem like the phone can ever pick up my location.I have tried un-installing and re-installing the application but to no-avail!I haven't even wasted my time calling Nokia Support, as they are totally useless!
getting very frustrated with this now. I have given my dad my N95 to help him get around but just cant get the map navigation to work. I downloaded the Nokia Map Loader (I had to go to a third party website as the Nokia links were all broken) and have the map/voices but when my dad tries to use the navigation it tells him he has to pay.Obviously, I know that Nokia have now made these services free to complete with other company's devices, I'm just being stupid and not going to the right place to download them. View 1 Replies View RelatedIn the United States and using a Nokia Lumia 920. I think I have the latest Nokia Maps and Drive. Downloaded my maps so I basically use Drive in offline mode.
Overall very happy. Does Drive have turn by turn navigation wih specific names and exits? Right now it only says stuff like "turn now".
I try to update my N97 software. Right after that I find out my video camera is not working; my GPS map is error; can't get into OVI store(keep getting an error message). Worst of all can't even get on Facebook. I try all the reset method (hard/soft). But nothing work. Talk to Nokia and they said it's not their problem.... wt....f.....
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've a Nokia E72 No-brand and I had a nokia E51 and both of these two phone seems to suffer of the same issue: the icon of the calls in call log, whatever is the type of the phone that I want to call or that has called me, is always the same: that one of the mobile phone! And this is very annoying because when there are contacts with more than one number type, it's impossible (or quite complicated and frustrating) to identify the correct number to call or that has called me (if I check the missed calls or recent calls in Call Log).
Besides I see that this bug was corrected with the latest firmware in other phones with Symbian S60 5th edition and my question is: why don't fix this very annoying bug also in devices with Symbian S60 3rd edition (like Nokia E72)?
Routing still needs improvement. It is taking me through wrong routes again. I thought this version will be like the routes of navteq.com but nothing changed. Still calculating wrong routes. Only navteq.com gives good routes, otherwise navigating using Nokia Maps is useless, Nokia is behind all its competitors of GPS devices. this is why I have Tomtom.

Let me apologize in advance if the topic already exist somewhere but I have a question. Does anyone know (or have same problem) why my GPS locates me in Myanmar even though I'm located in Slovenia? It is not such a big problem only when I searchfor adress I must type Slovenia in the end. But still it annoys me a little so.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust had my N97 Mini repaired, got it back today (about 4 hour ago) first time I've come to use my phone and the keyboard is wrong. When I say wrong, I mean this, i will use the B key for an example. The B key, when pressed does a "B" like its suposto, but the shift key does a _ But the orange other symbol on the key is a %. Can I correct this without sending it back to nokia, because I'd rather not sent my phone off for more weeks on end.
