I bought N97 mini couple of weeks back. I had battery backup problem. Approched Nokia care, they updated software. From then it became worst. Battery backup problem is not solved and phone goes offline/swiches off suddenly.

I've observed my N97 mini's battery level dropping abruptly from 4 bars to 1 bar (with low battery alarm). The phone's slightly more than a month old and using the latest 11.x.x firmware. Did a bit of googling, and found several suggestions on how to save battery (turn off everything 'smart' on ur phone). That's not the point anyways. I need to find out why the battery level drops suddenly (like what happens when ur battery's dying out), and *not* why the battery lasts X hrs. I'm not sure about this, but I think this mostly happens when the battery level is slightly below max, and I use any app that needs the GPS functionality. But then, there doesn't seem to be any problem with the GPS hardware in the phone, 'coz it usually gets a GPS lock in less than a minute (mostly within seconds). Could it be related to the algo used to show the battery level, or is it that its my battery that's faulty? Any others out there having the same problem?

After I charged up the battery of my phone fully, my phone was suddenly shut it down. Afterward, I could not start up the phone with 'Nokia' word white screen only.
I went to Nokia Care Centre for repairing three times, but they could not find the root cause. Even they changed with the motherboard of my phone.

I Bought a new Xperia mini pro about 3 weeks back and it was so cool and I had no problems up till last week. The prblem of the phone is, the battery level drops to 1% suddenly from 20%. And it says battey is 1% and it'll shut down. I didn't do anything, no rooting nothing. it is same as new. It happened about 4 times during this last week.
all 4 times it dropped from 20% or 17% or something to 1%. I'm really scared about that and somebody please help me what can i do regarding that. and when i connect it to the charger following that.

I had my red 920 since 11/9 and it has been great until this Tuesday. Previously the battery was great and after full charge it usually showed battery life 1day or even longer. This Tuesday I used camera a lot. The handset did get warmer because of flash and focus assist lamp. After that night the battery darin rate became really fast. After one overnight charge 100% battery only shows 9hours and drain rate was like 10% per hour. why this occured suddently? Do I need to reset the phone to factory?

I see the gray apple logo startup and PIN must then me SO my question is how can I just charging uhm .. without having to start automatically?

I haven't seen the battery charging percentage while charging with the phone being switched off since I flashed code blue kernel. You know the white battery icon that shows when the phone is turned off but is charging? I don't see the 'blue' battery percentage text on that anymore. I flashed the factory images afterwards to see if that fixes it, but it didn't. Not a big deal but is definitely and odd quirk.

It would have been okay for me to set all three screens back to their original configuration but unfortunately, I can't edit the main homescreen. I can edit the two additional screens but NOT the main (1st) homescreen. It just says homescreen is full! Last thing I installed was the Xmas theme Rugge from the Nokia store.

I unplugged my phone mid charge, and noticed that on my phone the battery icon was still moving as if it was charging. I thought it was cute because maybe the atmosphere or my charisma were still charging my phone for me. I restarted my phone and it returned to normal. The following day my phone did the same thing, only this time I didn't restart it, but eventually my phone ran out of charge. Since then the battery life on my phone has been very poor, I only get about 8 hours max, and thats when I have not been on the net or made anything more than one 10 minute phone call. The battery icon has stopped moving when its unplugged, but the battery life is terrible.I have updated my software today so I will monitor it, but seriously is there something up with my battery? It has left me short two days now where I am in town and my phone has died. I am not happy.Any suggestions people?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with N97 mini device. The device does not quit the charging of the battery when it's fullycharged. You can leave it charging for 24 hours and still the battery bars are moving and the LED near usb port lights. It doesn't matter if I charge with the AC-10E charger or via USB, the same problem happens. The battery seems to be charging cause when I unplug the charger the battery bars are full and I can use the phone for a day or little bit more. The main thing is that, there is no "beep" and no information that "your battery is fully charged". I have the newest software for mini 11.0.045. and hardreset does not help.What can it be? is this a software bug? can this damage the battery?

Till yesterday it was functioning OK but today after full recharge it battery got drained in 5 hours without any usage !! I noticed the phone is getting too hot without any usage. I recharged it againg and same thing happened again. I tried to switch if off for few hours and took out the battery from phone but it didn't help. I am using latest firmware.

The phone battery indicator works fine till 18% to 100%. The battery level drops to 18% fine, but after that battery level drops suddenly to 1% & moment later phone shut down.
I found on net that its becuase of battery miscalibration. There are solution to reset calibrations for rooted phones, but as my phone is not rooted is there any way to reset battery calibration ?

But as soon as I plugged it to charge that phone was at 48% again. I am kind of alarmed because this happend to me yesterday as well and it was at 42% then. A few hours later, it remained at 35% indication.Since this couldn't be correct, i restarted the phone. Now, my battery indication was 100%. False again.I turned the phone off. It wouldn't restart.I tried the 'flash device method' by holding back button and putting in computer USB. No help.I tried SEUS. After that, phone switched back on, with false battery indication back to 100%, which is impossible.I noticed that during all this 'fun stuff', my battery refuses to charge. The LED indicator remains green without flashing, the settings screen doesnt say 'charging'. I have Bold 9000 on O2, but since yesterday I have not been able to turn it on. When powered up via usb and PC or direct from mains, all i het is the red message light showing all the time and nothing else ..but sometimes it goes out and on screen is a picture of a battery with a blue zig zag flash running through it.
