I just bought N97 Mini from Newegg. The strange thing is it gets hot very quickly(usually in 5 minutes) when in use, making me uncomfortable to use any of its functions for too long. I wonder if it is normal for a smartphone to get hot so fast? Is it battery's problem?

After I update to V22 it seems that the battery it drain much quickly and another problem is that sometimes if i close the phone and then start again sometimes it's starts,appear nokia logo and then it close ,I push again the power button and then it starts (sometimes I must try 2-3 times until it starts).
I got to say that before it doesn't happened and before update to V22 I hard reset my phone including my mass memory and memory card sow the phone was like new.

After FP1 update my battery is draining so quickly dont know why. Am using this device since october 2011 never faced this problem except after FP1 update. Due to its grey colour, the keys don't create a strong contrast and they are hard to read in some conditions when light is coming from a certain direction because the keypad backlight come out to soon. Especially indoor I can't read any of the keys. I'm really disappointed when after I installed the latest software upgrade this problem still exist. Is it possible to "turn off" the ambient light sensor that I'm supposing causes this problem? Have you same issue? Some workaround or fix available?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAs mentioned in the title I experience a lot of problems when I try to delete entries in my Favourites via maps.ovi.com.I have around 2000 speedcam entries which I want to delete but it seems impossible to quickly delete them.If I try to delete them one by one in maps.ovi.com and sync with the phone, most of them are not deleted and appear again.Isn't there a folder on the E72 that you can delete or erase? I can't believe that syncing via maps.ovi.com is the way to delete large amount of entries.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy new E72 doesn't seem to support contact groups as well as my old N73.
Once upon a time I used to prefix contact names with special characters so that I could sort by different types in the contact list.
I then got my N73 with contact groups, so I used those instead and did away with the prefixes in the names.
The N73 let me quickly switch from the full contact list to the groups tab, so that I could then select the appropriate group and find the contact within it that I wanted.
Now I've 'upgraded' to an E72, I still have Groups, but they buried in the the full contact list in alphabetical order, so I can't select them quickly.
To make matters worse, there's no use reverting back to my ol prefixing strategy, because special characters (non alphanum) now seem to be ignored as part of the collating sequence, so I cannot easily influence the order of entries.
After updating anna's service pack I noticed that my battery wont last as long as before the update. I checked for any open programs but everything is closed. I did not install anything new since the update btw.

Does it have to do anything with me restoring it from a 3GS backup?
If yes, then how can I backup everything (contacts, notes, sms, photos/vids) and then set it up as a new phone then restore that data?
I have the Talk & Text 1200 plan with PagePlus and I am noticing that lately I am using up the 100MB of data much more quickly than I ever have in the past although I haven't changed my usage routine. I have noticed that a couple of days ago the Uploading Data icon has appeared at the top of my phone but I can't figure out what is uploading and how to shut it off and today I went past my data limit which I never do this soon into my pay period.
View 2 Replies View RelatedNot sure if this has been mentioned on here before, there is a bug which makes the operating system power hungry all the time, it seems to cause the phone to lag if you try to run more than one thing at once, another thing you might notice is when opening the Gallery the pictures take ages to load. If you want to try changing the setting which cures all the above go to: menu, settings, applications, development then select USB Debugging. Give it a try, you can always change it back again if you're not convinced, I've found Gallery now loads almost instantly, boot up time is really quick, all screens are completely smooth when navigating around, never lags, Iplayer works much better and best of Battey life is massively better. There is another app to show how much power various parts of the phone is using, before the operating system was always around 35% for me, now its always around 2%. Just thought people might like to give it a try!

View 6 Replies View RelatedThis just happened recently. I can feel the thing in my pocket heating up. The battery goes from full charge to empty in the matter of a couple hours.
Oddly though, this morning it said I had no service and my phone was normal temp and the battery lasted a long time. Or course i needed services so I turned the phone off and on and the service was back and so was the hot phone.
The phone is over a year old. I've tried all of the trick. Hard Reboot. Reset all of my settings etc.
I took my iPhone4 into the Apple store so they can look at the battery issue I think I am having. Here is a screen shot of the performance of the battery before my visit.
They said the phone needed to be reset to a new phone because I initially choose to use the backup of my last iPhone when I initialized and there is probably a software problem which is draining your battery faster.
Me: Well, Ok. But can you please run a diagnostic on the phone before we reinitialize.
Apple: No. There is noting wrong with the batter, this is a software problem.
Me: Ok.
So this next screen shot is after using the phone after initializing as a factory reset.
I am not seeing any difference in the performance if anything it is a little worse.
Do you all think I have a problem or is this normal performance for the iPhone4 battery? Apples website claims the phone should be standby 300hours, internet, 10hours.
I haven't been doing any heavy use just normal internet use, some angry bird action and a couple video shots.
What type of performance are you all having?
have a curve 3g leass than 6months old however the battery is just draining way too quickly since last 10-15days.
Also the OS hangs from time to time. The phone is revived only i remove the battery and out it back afterwhich battery shows as red, External Apps installed : Whatsapp, Quickpull and foursquare
Recently i have noticed my blackberry battery draining quickly (from fully charged) and only lasting roughly 5/6 hours,not even lasting a full day. The battery has only just started draining this quickly as since i got it (november 2011) as it was a replacement it would last roughly 1 and a half days without charging. I mainly use my phone for bbm,calling,texting and internet. And i close down any active applications that doesnt need to be open.

I have noticed that my usage time since last charge, taken at 1% battery level from a full charge, is about 4 hours and 45 minutes of usage and about 9 hours and 15 minutes of standby time. Is anyone getting battery drain this quickly? I have followed all the battery saving tips from restricting Ping and iAds to getting rid of most notifications and removing a lot of location services except for Maps and Safari. I also adjusted brightness to auto and deselected the "Send usage logs to Apple."
