Jul 6, 2012is it normal to use the app Endomondo for 20 mins from A to B cycling and after i checked the battery it was 35% down that's a lot for a few mins.

Sep 3, 2012I have a Lumia 900 from MTN South Africa. I am unable to get the phone charged after the battery drained out two days ago. This is a major problem that needs to be rectified by Nokia and Microsoft. It is also perplexing that the phone has to come on when it is charging and even more irritating is that to set an alarm, the phone needs to be on all night. Come on Microsoft get this right other Symbian Nokia alarms work perfectly even when the phone is switched off. I have been a faithful Nokia user for ten years. I am now considering switching to Samsung or Apple or if they merge, an Applesammy!

Feb 9, 2011I've had my BB Curve for about a year and a half now. Last night, I went to charge my BB after the battery had drained to find on the screen a drained battery icon with a red cross/line through it. I had reloaded the set up on my phone and it still does not work and it seems that the white loading bar under the icon still loads after it has appeared and stops at around 75%.Will a new battery fix this?As I have said, I have reloaded and wiped everything on my phone and I have also tried the 'take out the battery while it's charged, put it back in method', nothing happened.

Feb 13, 2014Here's what happened, I charged my phone before sleeping and it went to 98% then I unplugged it that was like at 12am. I went to sleep then as this time of writing I woke up and tried to unlock my phone but to my surprise it wouldn't turn on! I thought something happened until I plugged my charger and everything went fine. I don't have apps that could possibly drain my phone because I just hard reset it 2 days ago. I can't send it to Nokia Care because my unit is out of warranty.

Nov 12, 2015It has been draining away quite quickly for some time now and I don't know why. I have researched online and I know about 'thirsty' apps but the only ones I have installed are the only ones I have ever used and I never had an issue with battery drain before. Phine is approx 5 months old bought brand new.
Today, for example, I unplugged it from its charge about 5 minutes before I left home, never used it in that 5 minutes and when I looked at it, the battery was on 97%.

Jan 3, 2010I've had an N97 for 5 months, yesterday my battery drained completely, a normal drained, I didn't try to turn it on. I connected the charger to the phone and the white screen with nokia came up (first the white screen, then the blue nokia word). The usual symbol for the battery didn't show up. I left it like that, thinking it was charging. Then, I tried to turn on the phone but it didn't turn on, it stayed with the white nokia screen. I tried taking the battery off and putting it again and the same happened, checked the battery with a firend, it actually charged to 6 bars, but my phone won't start (also, tested with my friend's N97 battery). Connecting to PC has the same problem, the Pc doesn't realize something is connected.
Tried to leave it alone for without touching, and waiting hours for the white nokia screen to go away but nothing happens.

Oct 26, 2011I tried to update my N8 to Anna. Like many others, Anna 1/2 failed. So I tried restore to factory default and reinstall Anna. It worked fine. But for the past two days, I notice some problems with my phone which were not here before. ( I am in US, BTW) Extreamely short battery life. Before anna, I only needs to charge my phone every 2 days. Now, a full battery can only last for, T-Mobile 3G/Data keeps failing. Once in a while, I have to restart my phone because T-Mobile service failed. no connect. can not get online, or make phone calls. I have to restart my phone to get service back.

Jul 9, 2010After I update to V22 it seems that the battery it drain much quickly and another problem is that sometimes if i close the phone and then start again sometimes it's starts,appear nokia logo and then it close ,I push again the power button and then it starts (sometimes I must try 2-3 times until it starts).
I got to say that before it doesn't happened and before update to V22 I hard reset my phone including my mass memory and memory card sow the phone was like new.

Nov 25, 2015I just picked up two new nokia icons off ebay.. it was listed as new at least.. came in a box etc..
If i plug it in to charge.. it charges at about 1% per hour if that.. turn the screen on and it drops several percent,. use it unplugged and it rapidly discharges maybe 15% or more in a very short period of time.
Im guessing i got a bad batch?
Its very odd that both phones exhibit the same behavior.. and just for kicks i left 8.1 on one and put 10 on the other.

Apr 27, 2011my blackberry 9300 used to last me 2 days with low usage and 1 day with heavy usage. that's the way it has been for about a year and a half and i would always charge it all night anyway regardless of how much i use it. about a month ago, i was watching a video on Internet using the 3g network and suddenly it beeped and said "battery drained, shutting down handheld." there was no battery low warnings or anything, the battery said it was half full at the point. i didn't think much of it, i did a battery pull to get it to turn on again and it was fine for the rest of the day.it kept doing the same thing though, everytime i would watch videos or listen to any type of music. i would literally take it off the charger after a full night of charging and then watch a video on the wifi, 2 minutes into the video or after only one song it would tell my the battery is drained and shuts the phone down even though i apparantly have full battery. the only way to get it to turn on again is if i did a battery pull.well then i thought, ok then, so it only does this with videos and music. it never used, but it does now. but as time progressed, even when i didn't touch vidoes or music and am doing normal non-battery taxing things like texting and phoning people it would do the same. many times i've been in the middle of a call and it would turn off and leave me stranded.sometimes when i reset it, it goes back to normal and it stays on for a while after and sometimes it just turns straight back off again.

Sep 12, 2011only had the phone a few days but the above message has appeared twice and then the phone just shuts down.Now if the battery indicator was really low when this happen then no problems but the two times it has happened the battery indicator has been showing on or just below 50%!That's a huge drain on the battery, 50% to zero.I have ordered a new battery to see if this makes any diference but am concerned that if you are out and about a battery can die that quick!I do have a few things switched on that run in the background, social media, BBM, WiFi etc which I know causes the battery to run out quicker but I would not expect a big spike and total battery drain?This happened when using facebook on one occasion while out an about and the first time using sky sports soccer centre app connected to my wifi.These are the only times since having the phone that the battery has been on or just below 50%. I do not think it is App related. The battery usually runs down at a steady rate from full charge and at a rate which I would consider to be normal.Furthermore the battery is totally flat after the drain, the device cant be turned back on again even after removing the battery and when plugged into the mains the battery indicator is red and showing zero charge?I would like to understand if this could be associated with a hardware fault or more than likely just a faulty battery?I have not owned the phone from new but purchased it as a refurbished unit last week with new screen and casing. Oct 20, 2013Last night my phone died, and I left it charging overnight. I'm not sure if it was even charging properly because when I woke up this morning there was no indicator light on. (green or red).
When I try to turn the phone on it just keeps booting to the htc splash then turning black, before repeating the process. I've tried recovery and factory reset from the bootloader but those did absolutely nothing.
Btw I've never rooted my phone or anything like that. It's 100% stock from when I got it.
