Sep 21, 2011
Got problems with my bb blod 9700.my phone always hang and the battery quickly drained less than 12 hrs even I didn't use it or in standby mode.what should I do?
My battery doesnt last longer than 8 to 10 hrs. Phone keeps restarting when i try to pick some one's call or try to make a phone call, Messages take a long time to open. My god, timing of sending or receiving the messages are not synced. Sound is too low.
i just bought a new 9700. its an unlocked orange 9700 operating V5 OS i am having a problem that whenever my battery gets below 50% the device shows me a message "battery drained, turning off handheld" and the phone shut down.and when i try to turn it on,it only shows the red blip at the LED and then it stops and nothing happened the phone didnt revived.so i charged the phone and it works.but still whenever the battery starts to fall below 50% power, the message show up and the device died. what happen to the phone?i am a fresh blackberry user.somebody please give me some advice. i have tried the power saving advice from http://supportforums.blackberry.com /t5/BlackBerry- Community-Post/Power-Saving-Tips-for-your-BlackBe but the problem still persist.
Using my phone as per usual and had about half battery left, suddenly an error screen popped up saying drained battery and shutting off handheld. After it shut off and I plugged my blackerry in to charge up, I couldn't get the phone to turn back on. I popped the battery in and out of the back hoping for a reboot and nothing. I left it plugged in over night. When I tried to turn it back on this morning it still wouldn't turn on. I popped the battery in and out of the back yet again and finally it booted back up, but without a charge in the phone whatsoever even though it had been plugged in over night.
had 9700 1 month, first 3 weeks fine, battery last 2 days without much use.Now this week it started to die 12 hours after a full charge without even using the phone.why is this? what shall i do? n.b i have not installed any apps.
I got my 9700 about a month ago and the battery life has so far been excellent. About a week ago the 3G/GPRS signal dropped in the flat where I live and ever since then the battery drains really quickly when I'm at home. I can't seem to find a logical answer to the problem. The only thing I'm thinking it could be the Googlemail app constantly trying to get a feed. I don't run any other apps (no weather programs etc). My partner seems to also be having the same problem although she doesn't run any apps.
I recently purchased a new Bold 9700 and I noticed that the battery drains very quickly. It only lasts about 4 hours if the Mobile Network, WiFi and Blue Tooth are enabled. Also, I have recently installed the latest software updates. Is it normal for the battery to drain this quickly while the phone is on stand by mode?
I've had my BB Curve for about a year and a half now. Last night, I went to charge my BB after the battery had drained to find on the screen a drained battery icon with a red cross/line through it. I had reloaded the set up on my phone and it still does not work and it seems that the white loading bar under the icon still loads after it has appeared and stops at around 75%.Will a new battery fix this?As I have said, I have reloaded and wiped everything on my phone and I have also tried the 'take out the battery while it's charged, put it back in method', nothing happened.
Bold 9780 battery drained completely (overnight) and when I went to charge it again it won't turn on. I tried charging it overnight and still nothing, I have also tried another fully charged battery and that won't work. My Desktop manager software doesn't detect it. Just before it died I had actually transferred all of the data onto a new blackberry and the software said I could now wipe my device but I didn't bother yet.
So my bold hasnt been turned on in quite a while. and i charged it up and the red light would go on steady, and i tryed turning it on but it went to a white screen with a empty battery and lightning bolt. and the two screens alternate between these two. iv left the phone on charge for abour 4hours same thing.anyone got any idea whats going on?
I have a Bold 9780 and for some reason it pops up with a message saying "Battery drained. Shutting down handheld." even though my battery was 50% full. It has happened before. when it happens, I remove the battery and reboot the device. it gives me the same error except this time, the battery icon says that it is fully charged.
Yesterday, my Bold 9900 battery was completely drained so I put it on charge overnight. The LED light was flashing yellow. Now I can't get the phone to turn on at all. This has happened before but after removing the battery and putting it back in the phone turned on. I've tried pulling the battery today but nothing happens, just the LED light flashing red for a few seconds then going back off
I'm using BB 9700 version 5.00(latest version)I install a theme called animated dophin(version 1.something) yesterday night. then this morning my phone hang and i took out my battery to restart my phone. After loading, my phone couldn't press anything expect for alt and shift. and the specker logo has a star beside it. Anyone know how to fix it?

Battery life, with no phone use at all, and no apps at all, is about 7 hours. System Busy clock frequently prevents use, and screen occasionally goes black and is unresponsive for a couple of minutes. Battery has been replaced, but that did not improve anything.
At this point, despite many years with BlackBerry, I am seriously considering going Apple.
recently my 9900's battery is draining within 6-8 hours. It is not the battery itself as I have 3 batteries that I use and it is happening to each one. how I can find out what is happening. Been happening for about 2 weeks now.
In the past few weeks, my battery started dying really quickly. Before it would last at least a couple of days even with browsing and using apps. Then it started dying after less than 10 hrs, and even dying while it was more than half full. I went to the Orange shop and they said because I'd left the battery charging overnight, it was now leaking and I needed a new one, which I promptly bought. However, I still have the same problem. I need to charge my phone everyday, and even though I turn it off at night, it still lasts some 10 hrs. I've done the software upgrade and it made no difference at all. I've heard of apps running in the background and draining the battery, but I always had apps and never had this problem before and I can't believe that you can't have apps or else your battery won't last more than half a day!
It's a real pain to scroll to the bottom of long License Agreements when installing apps. Is there a quicker way to do this short of running your finger down the trackpad over and over and over again?
I bought my bold 9900 from UAE and used it for few months there and I suddenly had to move to Sri Lanka. The phone was very fast and the clock thing never appeared. Then i changed my sim to Dialog when I landed in Sri Lanka. The phone suddenly started to heat and the battery drained in minutes and freezes. The clock thing appears every minute and the phone battery drains even when I don't use it.
I have a Bold 9000 & one month ago I have plugged it in to a car charger (not BB original one). In that moment the phone turned off instantly and when trying to turn it back on the LCD remained completely white. I could not make or receive calls, e-mail, etc., the phone was dead whit the LCD white. when I got home I plugged in the AC charger & the phone started ok. Now if I charge it fully I can use it for one day, or half day if it is very intense used. If the battery goes bellow 75-80% & I access basic functions (e-mail, sms, browsing) in 1-2 mins the LCD goes white & the phone is dead. Basically I need to keep the battery level higher than 80% in order to make sure I can use my phone.
i have a blackberry bold 9700 v 5.0.0.862 ( bundle 1446, platform 5.1.0.175 I fully charged my battery monday night, unplugged it before going to sleep. When i woke up the phone was turned off, when i turned on i got a white screen with a battery with a red line through it but no blackberry loading screen.I didn't know what was wrong so i plugged phone in to charge a bit. when there was no change i unplugged it and held the power button. After many many many attempts to turn it back on finally i got the BB loading screen. The battery had full power when I finally got it turned back on.I used the phone throughout the day but come suppertime the battery was still full so i went to a friends. Halfway through dinner the phone displayed " BATTERY DRAINED TURNING OFF HANDHELD " .
Got home plugged in, turned back on and battery was 50%. I charged it to 100% and unplugged it before going to sleep. Woke up this morning to ringing phone i answered it had the chance to say hello then it displayed " BATTERY DRAINED TURNING OFF HANDHELD " !!! Went to turn back on got the battery screen again , finally after an hour or more of trying to turn back on it finally loaded and guess what?? THE BATTERY IS SITTING AT 100%!!I don't know what's going on but my phone keeps saying the battery is drained and the phone turns off but the battery is still full.
my blackberry 9300 used to last me 2 days with low usage and 1 day with heavy usage. that's the way it has been for about a year and a half and i would always charge it all night anyway regardless of how much i use it. about a month ago, i was watching a video on Internet using the 3g network and suddenly it beeped and said "battery drained, shutting down handheld." there was no battery low warnings or anything, the battery said it was half full at the point. i didn't think much of it, i did a battery pull to get it to turn on again and it was fine for the rest of the day.it kept doing the same thing though, everytime i would watch videos or listen to any type of music. i would literally take it off the charger after a full night of charging and then watch a video on the wifi, 2 minutes into the video or after only one song it would tell my the battery is drained and shuts the phone down even though i apparantly have full battery. the only way to get it to turn on again is if i did a battery pull.well then i thought, ok then, so it only does this with videos and music. it never used, but it does now. but as time progressed, even when i didn't touch vidoes or music and am doing normal non-battery taxing things like texting and phoning people it would do the same. many times i've been in the middle of a call and it would turn off and leave me stranded.sometimes when i reset it, it goes back to normal and it stays on for a while after and sometimes it just turns straight back off again.
I am using Xperia Ray and today I forgot to charge so it got shut down when it drained to 0%. I plug it into the usb charge but nothing happen, it won't boot....even the charging icon not showing on the screen. The LED notification is also red.
Its been just 2 weeks since i purchased curve 9380 and suddenly after using it for 1-2 hrs the battery gets heated up to 40 degrees..is there a problem with battery or this happens with every BB mobile?
am using 9360 curve. My cellfone battery was drained and i was out and couldn't able to charge it. at night when i tried recharging it .. i was not able to do that.... no red light... ... i m charging through USB only.. wat to do
only had the phone a few days but the above message has appeared twice and then the phone just shuts down. Now if the battery indicator was really low when this happen then no problems but the two times it has happened the battery indicator has been showing on or just below 50%!That's a huge drain on the battery, 50% to zero.I have ordered a new battery to see if this makes any diference but am concerned that if you are out and about a battery can die that quick!I do have a few things switched on that run in the background, social media, BBM, WiFi etc which I know causes the battery to run out quicker but I would not expect a big spike and total battery drain? This happened when using facebook on one occasion while out an about and the first time using sky sports soccer centre app connected to my wifi. These are the only times since having the phone that the battery has been on or just below 50%. I do not think it is App related. The battery usually runs down at a steady rate from full charge and at a rate which I would consider to be normal.Furthermore the battery is totally flat after the drain, the device cant be turned back on again even after removing the battery and when plugged into the mains the battery indicator is red and showing zero charge?I would like to understand if this could be associated with a hardware fault or more than likely just a faulty battery?I have not owned the phone from new but purchased it as a refurbished unit last week with new screen and casing. Everything seems to work fine on it
