About a week ago, I bought a Lumia 900 and it has gone off on its own accord everyday since I bought it at least once. I have tried to replicate the problem, no luck. I hard reset my phone, it got worse.

I've recently gotten the Lumia 800. Although it is fairly new - a month old - it has been giving problems: a loose screen, a battery bug (maybe?) and the phone shutting down after every charge. Firstly, I am certain that the screen is locked in place and is not able to fidgit when force is applied. Since last week, I've realised that the bottom of the screen, where the capacitive buttons are, is shaky. It is not visible, but you can literally feel the screen moving from left to right - this isn't normal, right? Secondly, ever since I updated my phone, my phone has not been able to show me the actually battery life, it only shows me a ? the screen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone was running hot, so I decided to shut it down to cool. Instead of shutting down, though, it rebooted. When it was done, I waited a minute, and tried again. Reboot. Again. Reboot. Finally, decided to try a soft reset and that seemed to fix it. This isn't the first time it decided not to shutdown and restarted instead, but first time it did it three times in a row. At least the soft reset worked. 1520 on 8.1 DP -- hoping the "official" rollout takes care of these little issues.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a 1320 that I got brand new back on Black Friday from Cricket. The problem is after it has been on for a while, the wireless and/or bluetooth or both shutoff. When I bring the status bar down, the wireless icon and/or the bluetooth icon will be cleared out and not active. If I try to turn it back on, nothing happens, the icons stay black. I reboot and usually that fixes it but not always. Sometimes I have to reboot it a couple of times.
Also my phone sometimes reboots when I'm using the GPS to track my bike rides when the phone is in my bag. I know that because when I get to the end of my ride and check the app, Cyclometer, it stays "it has been shut off, do you want to resume" or something to that effect and then I resume it and a portion of my ride is missing from when it apparently has rebooted. I also have had it reboot on me in the middle of something that doesn't happen often.
My phone is on 8.1 and has no more pending updates. this is eating up my data plan because I normally use wireless at home. I also can't use my bluetooth speaker while riding because if I connect my bluetooth speaker to my phone, the bluetooth will shut off after about 15-25 minutes of use. It first starts to become somewhat intermittent for couple of minutes then bluetooth shuts off altogether.
the phone occasionally turns off when i call, or recieve a call (i hear a click and phone turns off). i have to manually start it again. sometimes the problem persists for a few next calls, while sometimes it doesn't. anyways,i usually let it be for a day or two, and use my old phone. but this is getting really frustrating now, after all, i bought it to use it!i have tried the hard reset, the factory reset. i took it to the official repair shop here in my country, where i demanded they take away the **bleep** vodafone, preventing me to update further than v20 firmware.the repair shop gave it back, saying there are no more problems. im taking a guess even they did those soft/hard resets. i have the latest firmware (v30) and yes the phone does work much faster, but just now i did get another shutdown when having a conversation ! i even uninstalled pretty much all not needed apps (facebook, Internet, accuweather, games, ...) on the new firmware.i cannot have such a unpredictable phone, especially when i am working and have to take important calls. imagine how it is, when the phone dies in the middle of important conversation with the boss/costumer.

View 3 Replies View RelatedCant understand why the backup to PC of vital Lumia phone information such as contacts, calendar and messges can not be easily and quickly achieved as with the Nokia suite and N8. I believe it is synced automatically to Sky-drive but I cannot find evidence of this. I would like to have control of this data for easy retrieval and stored on my PC. Windows phone software on my PC is sub standard in comparison with Nokia Suite. It is clunky, contacts cannot be backed up, photos have no picture reference when transferred and the overall Windows Phone software on my PC is second rate in contrast to the Windows Phone 8 phone experience. Can anyone enlighten me on how I can easily copy my contacts to PC. No problem getting contacts into the phone. Just unclear on how to get a copy of them out.

I took delivery of it yesterday and it's been fully charged. I've set the Date+time to 'Set Automatically' to 'On'

When i connect my old headsets from my nokia asha and nokia c3, they fit fine, and perfectly in the headset socket, however i cant vaigly hear anything, even though the volume is on full. Do i need a special nokia lumia 800 headset, or are the ones ive used adequate? They do fit perfectly in the audio socket so i dont see why i cant hear much from them, the 2 headsets ive tried work fine in the asha and can hear loud and clear

In 2011 Subaru Forester I am able to connect the phone and play music, but when I turn the car off and then on again it does not connect automatically like my iPhone does. In my 2012 Toyota Camry I am not even able to get the Lumia to connect to the stereo when my Blackberry has no issues with it.Is this is a Nokia issue or Windows Phone issue? Also, will these issues be addressed in future updates?

View 7 Replies View RelatedIt started off when my phone would just restart once or twice a day, then it started restarting about 5 times in a row. A lot of people I asked said it could be malware, so I deleted a few of my apps that could have infected my phone, but it still kept restarting. It eventually got worse - I should mention I use two batteries for my phone - when one battery is in my phone it just shuts down and I have to remove the battery and put it back in before I turn it back on. The other battery (the original one that came with my phone) won't turn on - it'll show the first LG screen then shut down, and it just keeps doing that, unless i have it plugged into the charger. When its on the charger it will work fine, and for a few minutes after I unplug it, it will work fine, but then it will still shut down. I ended up resetting my phone to factory settings, but the problem hasn't changed.

It doesnt find reception and the battery goes in like 1 hour from 100% to 0. It also gets really really hot.

Just bought it less than a week ago, from the Apple store. It's shut down on its own twice - just going straight off. Plus has rebooted alone at least once that I know of. Is this defective or is there a software problem with the OS?

View 5 Replies View RelatedOver the last 24 hours my Curve 8520 keeps randomly shutting itself off. I am also e problems experiencing with emails, social media updates and web browsing. I have had the handset for nearly three months. Emails, are not displaying properly, unable to web browse, delay in receiving Twitter updates and Facebook updates. Facebook won't refresh and Twitter is behaving nonsensically.
I have contacted Vodafone phone, firstly they advised me that it could be the sim card and and a new sim would be dispatched and they also advised me to reset the phone ( by taking the battery out) and refresh my mobile network which I did. However, problem still continued. I contacted them again and they carried out diagnostics at their end and advised me that it was the handset and I should send it off for repair. Which I will do but just wanted to hear other users thoughts/advice on what the problem could be. It is so odd that it has started to act up in the last 24 hours.
This has been happening a lot lately. My phone will be fully charged then all of a sudden it shuts off and if it turns back on, it shows the battery is just about dead. It is not a battery issue as I just purchased a new one, I have had this phone for about a year now and it just started happening. It can happen when I'm at home, at work, in the car, etc. I don't even have to be using it.
