Jun 12, 2010I am a brand new X6 user, I am not event very familiar with Symbian S60 OS. I recently purchased the application known as ThreadedSMS because I like to see my text messages threaded as in conversation form. After I installed it, the original messaging application still pops up notifications in addition to ThreadedSMS. Also when I click on a contact and wish to send a text message, it uses the original messaging application instead of Threaded SMS.Is there a way to set the OS's default messaging application to be Threaded SMS so that I don't get double the notifications of incoming text messages, and so when I try to send a text message via contacts it doesnt pull up the original SMS application.Also, does anyone know a more finger friendly Contact Manager application (similar to iPhone )?

When I do the search for particular music, it will again take me to "India" store instead of "Germany" store. In addition, most annoying is that I have to re-login but my user id and password will not work as its different store. Also when I go via music.nokia.de and try to login, it open Ovi player and since default location is "India", it takes me to India store and my login credentials do not I ask Nokia care on how to change default Ovi Player Store location but they are unable to provide any good I already un-install / re-installed but won't work. Sep 15, 2011One problem I am having is that I will occasionally get an error message when trying to play a media file that I know the phone supports that says "the player does not support this type of file", or something like that. If I turn the phone off and back on, it plays fine, but will then give me the error later on in the day. The types of files I am trying to play are mp3 and xvid avi. One idea I have is that the music player widget is cause the problem because if you play an mp3, but then try to do something else while it plays(multitask) it will not play in the background like it used to. You have to actually go into the media player and create a now playing list. This is very annoying to me as I play a lot of media on my phone throughout the day and currently have to restart my phone 2 or 3 times.

Mar 16, 20101 - Not all n900 applications i find on the net are searchable or listed at all on the n900s built in application downloader. some files i download manually off the net are in gz and deb format. do i need to install the nokia pc software and transfer them to the phone in order to use them, as i cannot find any other way to do it? from using google there are an awful lot of users saying the nokia software does not work very well at the moment and to avoid using it until its fully adapted for the n900, as some features are supposedly unusable?
